  1. Not me. I have a kid, and I've lived it.
  2. Not really, also you don't have to follow any sort of grammar rules or spelling when you prompt. You can also use chat to text. Minimal effort. Every post I've made in the last year or so has been chat to text into a AI prompt. Soon, I'll have AI answering all my emails, disciplining my kids, and ordering my curb side pick up groceries.
  3. Don't leave fully charged batteries plugged in. Unplug as soon as its full, if at all possible. Same for cell phones, laptops, etc. Came to bitch: Some asshole at my local muni has a speaker on his cart. Blasts Tejano so loud you can hear it from the tee box to the green. I'm about ready to take a 7 iron to the fucking thing.
  4. lol @ Nutlick. Stealing and using that.
  5. Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of finance?
  6. Fixy for reality
  7. Well, before Nutlick et al, we had historically low unemployment and declining birth rates, so that shouldn't have been TOO big a problem. But hey, lets fire lots and lots of people, work to replace the ones who still have jobs with robots, and vilify childless women. What could go wrong?
  8. Yeah, that's why I watch them. Like anybody else, I like a pretty good documentary now and then.
  9. Gay Republicans: Gay, but hate minorities and poors.
  10. Seems like I remember somebody telling me you can't really go more than about 20 miles per day on horseback without killing your horse. (Horse people correct me if I'm wrong). So 850 miles at lets be generous and say 25 miles per day = 34 days of travel. Add in extra days getting over the Cascades, foraging, whatever. 25 miles a day, for 34 days straight, even on horseback for most of it, will ruin a person.
  11. New Orleans is a comfortable metropolis which has a certain apathy and stagnation which I find inoffensive. -I.J. Riley
  12. Yes, I hiked the Washington portion of the PCT north to south. Ended in Cascade Locks.
  13. many years ago I took a supershuttle from cascade locks oregon to the portland airport. This is a perfect description of that journey. But it was only like 15 dollars for the ride. I don't remember the pitmaster thing. Cliff notes?
  14. Assuming there is no surprise, truly no weapons (can't pick up rocks, etc), I'm going with the gorilla. But in the "real" world, the gorilla would retreat faced with those numbers and humans would claim victory. If its some sort of make believe fight to the death, then gorilla.
  15. Not sure it was all vehicles. If it applies to the slate, then it will have one. When it says "no screen" they aren't referring to the little camera screen. And it definitively isn't a touch screen, which has got to be the most regarded, unsafe thing you can put in a car.
  16. Other than that whole threatening note taped to your office door with a picture of you walking your dog taken from a drone thing. Or the magats breaking into your house with hammer thing. Or...
  17. Member the meltdown on this board (or the scat board, whichever it was), when Austin voted NO to Uber? I member.
  18. The stupid, it burns. and the only war he's fought, and lost, is the war against fat.
  19. If billionaires gave two shits about democracy, they wouldn't be billionaires.
  20. Definitely try the polar plunge, at least once. Just have towels and warm clothes ready as soon as you get out. But stay in that "warm" feeling water for any length of time, you quickly realize, yeah, its still pretty fricking cold.
  21. Probably both. Oh well, leopards gotta eat too.
  22. Its a song as old as time this country. Outgroups stop being outgroups by becoming "white". Happened to the Irish, then the Italians, now its happening to Hispanics/Mexicans. Unfortunately right now, being "white" means voting R. Not sure what the blacks are going to do.
