  7. Which is why Mechanic Sergeant Micklin would call the Black Sheep Squadron pilots "college boys".
  8. I said I wasn't a hunter or shooter earlier, but I used to "hunt" squirrels with a 22 in the pecan orchards on my grandfather's farm. And yes, it wasn't easy, even with dogs that would scare the squirrel around the trunk of the tree so it was spread eagled holding onto the trunk on my side of the tree. When I did manage to bring one down, the dogs would tear the shit out of it playing tug of war.
  9. Yeah, the video talks about deflection shooting, and how the amount of deflection depends on the angle of attack of the fighters attacking the bombers (which depends on the location of the fighter relative to the bomber during the fighter's attack run). Explained it in pretty good detail, with animation, and then broke it down and just told them how much to adjust their aim (lead by x number of radii of the crosshairs) based on the angle of attack of the incoming fighter. I'm not a hunter or a gunner, but the video was fascinating. I could totally see a physics teacher using that video to teach relative motion.
  10. How many women actually live in this "community"?
  11. Shows/explains relative motion and independence of perpendicular motions very well. Made in the 1940s, just artists and engineers, drawing frame by frame.
  12. So the consensus is: Its good war pron. Combat Vets: Is it accurate or realistic war pron?
  13. Facebook how does it work? I think this is only true if you use a bail bondsman. The court refunds all the bail when you show for trial. Don't ask me how I know that.
  14. So, its like you fuck one pig one time, you're a pig fucker forever?
  15. see post above yours.
  16. I laughed out loud at this and wish I could take it back. I mean I wish I could take it back if anybody had heard me and knew what I was laughing at. Since nobody heard me, whatever.
  17. Sounds like ol Farmer Gilbert should have done his research. Moron. Also, 100% he voted for ThE DOtaRd, if he believes the supplier pays the tariff. Idoit. Fuck him. Go bankrupt. Stand in bread lines. I don't GAF.
  18. If that's true, then its also true I assume that posts you make on surly can be held against you? Oh shit.
  19. As the neighbor of a chicken owner, my dogs can confirm that chickens can in fact fly. At least until they land in my yard.
  20. Chaos? I am shocked. Well, not really.
  21. Excellent simile. Or is it a metaphor? Whatever, a clever turn of phrase. Pos rep.
  22. One time I listened to an entire half of a high school football game as I sat in line at the local DQ drive through.
