I know we live in a new basketball reality, but not once playing consecutive years with the same team for his entire college and high school career still feels like a red flag.

    Mr. Stability

I’m sure that all of his grades transferred every year.

(Actually, I wonder what year was the one when he last attended a class.)

  2. All EPL clubs have been knocked out of Europe, except for one!

    Spoiler

World Cup winner Emiliano Martínez produced more shootout heroics against French opposition, saving twice to help Aston Villa beat Lille 4-3 on penalties to reach the Europa Conference League semifinals in France on Thursday.

Martínez denied Nabil Bentaleb and, with the final kick, Benjamin André, to give Villa victory after the quarterfinal tie had finished 3-3 on aggregate following extra time.

The Villa goalkeeper. who was booked during regulation time for time wasting, was also shown a second yellow card in the shootout for his disruptive antics but was allowed to continue as cautions do not carry over into penalties.

It is definitely LOL, but honestly, presuming Wrexham do get promoted, and Rob and Ryan are willing to pay up, I imagine they are going to try to place some US names on the team.  Weston is too good, but if I am, say, Haji Wright, and they are willing to throw Championship money at me, I am listening.

And now Paula quits at 3-all, tears everywhere.

She was obviously not well. You could tell that she was likely to quit at any time and actually it appeared that the more she exerted herself during the points, the more likely she was making things worse.

If she had taken advantage of those set points in the first set, she would have only been slightly injured at the end of the 2nd set and likely would have been able to play her next match today.

Now Badosa may be out a week or three.

  5. Raducanu is playing well vs Angie Kerber, which I thought was a good sign.
    …Then I looked up Kerber’s current ranking…

    Kerber is #332.

    Raducanu is #303.

    2 1 Kerber

    6 6 Raducanu

    Never forget. "Bowling for Dollars".

When I was really young, I thought that the studio for Bowling For Dollars was directly behind the news desk and he went from the end of the 6:00pm News to hosting the 6:30pm BfD show.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a BfD intro for Verne, just one for someone in another city.

I really wasnt that big on going to the sec. I’m coming around to it though. Especially because it annoys the aggy fucksticks so much.

Definitely not a fan of the SEC either.

I always wanted us to join the PAC, but sports is so low on the totem pole of things to watch in person and on TV that it is a hard sell.

The B1G would have been a better academic fit, but the travel would have been hellacious on the kids & fans.

The SEC ultimately made the most sense if football was going to be 95% of the influence on conference selection.

broadcasters around the world are praying for a Real Madrid/PSG final.  PSG has the path but Dortmund is plucky.

gonna be tough for Real to get there.

i hope it's not Qatar Oil v. UAE Oi.

Did a report on U.A.E. in 6th grade when each kid got a country and we stood up in front of the class and told a short history of the country and which natural resources they had (that American owned companies could go in and extract after bribing the country’s ruling family).

Looking back, our textbook kind of helped us identify potential targets for international natural resource date rape.

SMU will be in a conference with FSU, Miami, Clemson, UNC and Notre Dame-ish (required to play 6 ACC opponents/year).

I think that SMU will be dropping a lot of money in this window to bring in 2-deep talent.

    4 ACC opponents/year.

6 last year they played 6 + Stanford, which would be 7 this fall.

5 this year, but if Stanford & Notre Dame are permanent opponents, then maybe it is "Stanford + 4 random ACC games'.

    17.5- Mitchell

    28.5- Worthy

    50.5- Sanders

    56.5- Brooks

With that 5th round mock draft of Sanders, better that he goes AFTER the 50th pick of the entire draft looks like the best bet in the entire draft.

    - Not a total disaster, but overall blah performance by the LIV guys. The longer they play 54 hole exhibition golf the harder it will be to turn it on for majors.

The longer you play Branson, Missouri, the harder it will be to go on a nationwide tour.

Well, we sure had the Texas connection with SS shooting a birdie on Verne's last call, Verne working in Dallas for many years and Nantz going to school in Houston.

    • The Top 4 has tightened up.
    • Leicester, Leeds, and Ipswich have all dropped points in their last 2 matches
    • Southampton is dangerously giving supporters hope, picking up 6 points in the last 2 matches.
    • Southampton has 2 games in hand and play both Leicester and Leeds (Leeds on the last day)
    • Craziness!!!

Reyna with a pinpoint delivery for Gibbs-White's goal on a corner.

Watched some of the game, including this goal, but couldn’t remember who the other player besides our bench GK was on the squad, so I was pulling for Nottingham to lose.

    Go inform Gio!

  17. Love watching Monfils when he is in the right headspace.

Also like seeing Djokovic knocked out before a final.

Sinner was on his way to a win over Tsitsipas before his right quad tightened up mid 3rd set and then his left quad tightened up. Had two massage sessions in a row for the quads, but went from a break up to losing.

Don’t understand why players with cramping issues don’t have a bottle of pickle juice 🥒 =🧃 in their sideline cocktail bar. Reports say that that shit can relieve cramping in 60 to 90 seconds.

That can be as quick as a changeover + the pre-serve routine.
