  1. First game as a student was against BYU in 87. We lost 22-17. We had eight turnovers, they had one. We also had a punt blocked for a safety.
  2. Our athletic department is anything but miserly. We make a lot of money, but we spend a lot of money. Lots of mouths to feed on the payroll.
  3. Luke Brock is a LB at UT. And yes, we like him. His twin OL brothers are at Bama.
  4. I predict the following: Texas plays in the SEC in 2022 Brocks find Alabama tougher than their private school league Brocks want to transfer to Texas, but get turned down Brocks end up at SMU Profit
  5. We were pissed because when Mizzou started flirting with the Big 10, we arranged a deal with the Pac 10 that included aggy but aggy blew up the deal at the last minute. Nebraska took the Big 10 slot that Mizzou wanted. Colorado went to the Pac 10. All the remaining Big 12 schools agreed to commit to the BIg 12. The Big 12 even offered an extra share of revenue to UT, OU, and aggy to remain in the conference. UT and OU declined, aggy took it. aggy then secretly negotiated with SEC to join them. In all the realignment escapades, we tried to include aggy. But they fucked up our chance to leave while making sure they had a way out.
  6. Two of your dudes quit their teams multiple times to find a better situation.
  7. That's a fair point. We know Steph and LeBron have the mental toughness. My third is kind of a pussy, but he doesn't have AIDS at least They have mental toughness, but not Jordan or Bird level.
  8. Would Curry be holding KD's hand the whole time? Curry would have his hands (and ears) full with MJ while Bird would be playing mind games on KD and Magic would be echoing and laughing at what his teammates would be saying. If they are using current rules, the young guys would be a man down after somebody loses their cool and throws a punch.
  9. But Bird was shooting using 80's rules. His percentage would have been higher against today's defenses.
  10. You don't even have the right decade. Bird's prime was definitely in the 80's.
  11. When the game was on the line his percentage was a little better.
  12. And Bird wouldn't have the range to keep LeBron from packing the paint a bit vs Magic and him. Bird wouldn't have the range? You just proved you don't know what you're talking about.
  13. Jordan would be guarding Curry. He has never been guarded like Jordan would guard him.
  14. Only thing that would keep it close would be playing it with today's rules and officials. Play it with 80's rules and officials and the men destroy the pussies.
  15. I'm repulsed and intrigued at the same time.
  16. If he has a high tolerance for Rohypnol, that'll be Plan B. Hell, it doesn't look like we will ever get another player from Duncanville anyway so might as well be sure OU doesn't get him.
  17. It was bad pre-Covid. Now it's worse.
  18. If he is truly a difference-maker as a pass rusher, we have to give it a shot. Make sure he is truly interested. Shadow him with trusted players. If he starts poisoning the well...put something in his drink, stash him away somewhere to sleep it off, wake him up when the pool party is over, send him home.
  19. Askew and Tyson both need to be patient. They will see bigger roles in the 22-23 season.
  20. Nope, just saying that winning the Big 12 tournament wasn't that big of an accomplishment. We barely beat Tech, got a day of rest when Kansas got Covided, got lucky when OSU beat Baylor, and then outlasted a tired OSU. I agree that we had a team with Final Four potential based on experience and talent, but Shaka coached them into losing in the first round to Abilene Fucking Christian.
  21. Winning the Big 12 tournament isn't a big accomplishment when you don't have to play Kansas or Baylor and you get a day of rest your opponent doesn't get.
