  1. Damn. I just gained 10 pounds looking at that. I don't know if I'm glad or sad that I am more than 700 miles from the nearest location...may have make a road trip.
  2. Shit had to be done.
  3. It depends whether you are talking about exhibit A or B from this photo. Exhibit A is everywhere, and not just a west Texas thing. B is heavily featured in west Texas, large swaths of California, and other places, but you don't see them on every rural farm, as you would A. Based on the geographic specificity, I assumed you were talking abut B, thus my comment.
  4. Did you get a free bowl of soup with it?
  5. Nobody wearing that is winning at anything.
  6. If you have to go down, that's the situation you want, slowing for a roundabout on a slick road.
  7. I definitely agree. It's Arsenal, so dealing with injuries is par for the course, but there should finally be enough quality depth in place to endure it. It's time for some hardware.
  8. Apart from the injuries, that was extremely satisfying. I love watching them play when they are in complete control.
  9. Remember when other clubs would swoop in at the 11th hour and steal our transfers? It's so nice to be on the other side of that...one of the many indications we are back where we belong.
  10. Are you sure she's bored and not dead?
  11. Are you Armybrat's father? Here's some porn for you. I hope you have taken your meds.
  12. At least the shower didn't smell like shit.
  13. Nike needs to stop using so much black. It is not a school color, and with few exceptions, it ruins any gear for me, especially when it is heavily featured.
  14. I have seen most of the celebrated films from 1939 more than once, so I suppose that you technically have a point. Nonetheless, I never find myself scouring TCM for guilty pleasure viewing options, and would definitely not want to be limited to that year's offerings if forced to choose. There simply aren't enough films from that year that resonate with me and many of my viewing moods would be missed entirely. I enjoy an occasional visit to Hollywood's golden era, but I would not want to live there for eternity.
  15. That's not the point. The full 1939 film catalog would pale in comparison to any of the last several decades. How many of those 1939 films are rewatchable? Sure, you get to watch a handful of the best films ever made, but that is all you get, and they are dated. I want films I can watch over and over, many of which are total crap if evaluated critically. I just want to be entertained, have a good variety of genres, and rewatch some of my personal favorites, even if they are pure shit. There have been some really solid years offered, with countless films that I wouldn't hesitate to repeatedly watch. Here are a couple of others that I would personally consider. 2003 Oldboy Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Memories of Murder The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King School of Rock Mystic River Love Actually Old School Lost in Translation Holes Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World The Last Samurai Matchstick Men The Station Agent Elf Open Range Intolerable Cruelty Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring Capturing the Friedmans Girl with a Pearl Earring Seabiscuit 1996 Happy Gilmore A Time to Kill Twister Fargo Scream Independence Day Mission: Impossible Trainspotting Jerry Maguire The English Patient Sling Blade Phenomenon Swingers That Thing You Do! Bottle Rocket Big Night Star Trek: First Contact Secrets & Lies Tin Cup Waiting for Guffman Beautiful Girls The Daytrippers When We Were Kings
  16. How are you even reading what he wrote? All I see is "mooo moo moooo moo mooo moo mooooooooo."
  17. I concur. Primoz can no longer win stage races, and doesn't have the attitude to be a good domestique. Remco has a limited range of stages that suit him. He could evolve, but I'm doubtful that he has that in him. Florian is the most likely of the three to challenge for Grand Tours, but Bora would need to go all in on supporting him, and I don't see them doing that. I'm frequently wrong, so we'll see what happens.
  18. No, that would be Robert Anakin Skywalker.
  19. No. Tadej is the best cyclist in the world currently, and possibly ever. That doesn't mean that he is capable of winning every stage that he wants. It's okay to admit that another cyclist was better on given day.
  20. If Derka's response wasn't clear, he is advocating for the World Cup to be pulled from being hosted by the U.S. for political reasons, not for Team USA to lose in the competition.
  21. While I think there were at least a couple of stages that Tadej could have won in this year's Tour, I don't believe that this was one of them. Wout is well-liked and respected, but all is fair in love, war, and cycling. Tadej very much wanted to win the final stage, and would not have gifted it to anyone.
  22. The goal of the program should be to make the tournament every year, and have a legitimate chance to compete for the title. Having a home schedule that makes the fans happy doesn't necessarily preclude that, but when roster turnover is what it is, having easily winnable games in a friendly environment early in the season may further the cause more so than coin flip games against marquee programs. Miller having opportunities to experiment with lineups without having to risk losses is a beneficial thing. We will have plenty of games on the schedule to boost RPI and KenPom numbers. I know many won't agree with this take, and I'm not even sure that I do, but I do see the logic in it, even if it isn't what I want. That said, there should be a way to achieve a happy medium where we can find a way to squeeze in a home and home with a blue blood.
  23. I would kill for your flexibility. How does your ass taste?
