That's not the point. The full 1939 film catalog would pale in comparison to any of the last several decades. How many of those 1939 films are rewatchable? Sure, you get to watch a handful of the best films ever made, but that is all you get, and they are dated. I want films I can watch over and over, many of which are total crap if evaluated critically. I just want to be entertained, have a good variety of genres, and rewatch some of my personal favorites, even if they are pure shit.
There have been some really solid years offered, with countless films that I wouldn't hesitate to repeatedly watch. Here are a couple of others that I would personally consider.
