  1. Shouldn't the fake cheese equate to the fake meat in this equation, or do you just change the rules as it suits you?
  2. I get it. A lot of you grew up having to make do with shitty American "cheese fooooood." I had my fair share as well. But once I experienced Tex-Mex enchiladas with actual real cheese, it was game over. I'll show myself over to the unpopular opinions thread and let you assholes proceed with discussing the correct way to dice the raw onions before destroying your perfectly edible enchiladas with them.
  3. As I said in my initial response, "American and/or Velveeta get a lot of love and are used exclusively at many highly regarded authentic Tex-Mex joints." Thankfully many equally authentic Tex-Mex eateries (many of which are in S. Texas), use a perfectly melty and extremely tasty Cheddar variety.
  4. You can use all the American "cheese product" you want on your enchiladas. It certainly explains why you insist on masking the flavor with raw onion.
  5. I consider Colby to be part of the Cheddar family, and you are absolutely correct that many Cheddar varieties do not melt very well. I think that is what prompted the wide use of American.
  6. American and/or Velveeta get a lot of love and are used exclusively at many highly regarded authentic Tex-Mex joints, but the establishments that use them do not get my business more than once. Cheddar is the only option for satiating my Tex-Mex cravings, and I'll kindly thank you to hold the cebollas....no cebollas at all, por favor.
  7. All the recent flips in my neighborhood have put in grey/charcoal colored shingles. They work well with the neutral color scheme trend.
  8. Some teams would still pass on Luka, but that's okay, as the Mavs never get a top pick anyway. The 2013 draft was not a shining moment for the Mavs. Normally, they do a good job scouting Euro players, but they missed out on Giannis, as did 13 other teams. Of course, had they selected Giannis, they likely would not have been in position to take Luka, so I guess lamenting the fact that the Mavs could have conceivably had both is pointless.
  9. There's a typo in the OP. It should be Bad Had Quality Foundation.
  10. I went to school with a Mike Hunt. I had a crush on his sister, Cindy.
  11. You know what they say...big hands you know you're the one.
  12. Eighties Kilmer is the best Kilmer. First, you have to get back at Kent, it's a moral imperative.
  13. I'm only two episodes left, but completely agree. Fantastic show.
  14. I'm on team Bulent all the way. Fuck the haters and the the whiners on the other team that didn't do shit. They sure spent a lot of time on a crossbow that did not appear to be any more effective than a regular bow, especially if all you are going to do is lie around the boma and complain that other people aren't killing shit for you. I'm sure she is a badass in the Alaskan bush, but I have zero respect for how she completed the XL challenge.
  15. So am I supposed to temper my optimism or my pessimism?
  16. Yeah. It is weird. They seemed to do that the first time Ryan visited Wes and Gwen's camp, and it resulted in Wes's first kill. I don't know why they didn't do that with more people to help. Maybe the thought was too many people actually scares away the game from the area or something, but one or two to herd the game toward the blind would seem to be a good idea.

  18. Count me with those who order online, and often run into issues with availability. I think there is sometimes an issue with items not getting reset to available after being restocked. I've also experienced occasions where varieties of items that are always available in the store don't show up at all on the website (varieties x y and z are listed, but not q). In both instances, I have been able to successfully get what I want by ordering a different variety and putting in the shopper notes that I prefer "q" if it is available. It does not work every time, but more often than not, it does. I also get weird substitutions where it appears the shopper was unfamiliar with the store, or was just being lazy, but that is going to happen. Under the circumstances, I'll deal with it rather than braving the store with the herd.
  19. Wes and Gwen did that early on, but unfortunately, they chose an agave that wasn't ideally suited for that, and it probably made them not so eager to sample other plants. Too bad Makani didn't end up in that camp. She could have helped with that.
  20. That was almost a shitty episode....almost. That sucks for Wes. I really thought he would make it to the end. I'm starting to worry about Bulent as well. Brutal conditions.
  21. The scandal shit is hilarious. New name should be the same as the old name. Washington Eczema or Washington Rash.
  22. I agree about Bulent. He's the real deal. I know the PSR is complete bullshit, but his is way too low. He's killing it.
