  1. Many feel that an Oregon victory still gives us a chance due to the many factors that have been previously mentioned. So in that regard, The PAC CCG absolutely applies to Texas. It may seem an insurmountable hill to climb if it comes down to Oregon and Texas for the last spot, but stranger things have happened.
  2. How does that help? There is at least hope that we can end up ahead of a 12-1 Oregon. There is no hope that we will end up ahead of a 13-0 Washington.
  3. I have not seen any real campaigning by Sark yet, which is how it should be. I hope he continues to focus on the task at hand (beating OkSt), and then presents a well-reasoned argument.
  4. I love Texas more than I hate anyone. That's a distinction that separates us from some other fanbases. Hate is nice to fall back on when your team is underperforming, but when things are going well, there shouldn't be much need for it. OU will still be in our conference and we will have opportunities every year to ensure bad things happen to them.
  5. Asking what kind of pie we would hypothetically be fighting over is now stalking? I'm not going to lie and pretend that I don't know what you are referencing, and I can see from your avatar why that was the first context that popped into your head. Unfortunately it wasn't the first though that popped into mine while I was literally enjoying a slice of leftover key lime. Otherwise I might have chosen not to attempt to lighten the mood with a random post about holiday desserts.
  6. Our playoffs started the week after they beat us. I think most of us are ecstatic to be in this position, and don't really care who we play. If it's OU, then we will get a chance for redemption for our only loss, with more of a SOS boost than what we would get with OkSt. If it's OkSt, then we will have an opportunity to leave the conference with scoreboard on everyone. There are positives to playing either. The only negative is the same one that exists in every game.
  7. To be fair, Mack's NCAA Champions trophy has a complete date on it.
  8. Yes, and when you combine it with SEC SEC SEC bias, it's almost understandable...almost.
  9. The only way two teams from the same conference are getting in is if FSU does not go undefeated and one of the other conference champs has at least two losses. That could happen, but in that scenario, we are either getting in as a one-loss champ, or will have at least one more loss, so won't deserve a spot. There is no plausible scenario where we win our next two games and are left out over 2 teams from the same conference.
  10. Is FFS your reaction, or are you telling him to crop better for the sake of fuck? Commas, how do they work?
  11. Remember when La Tech was a women's basketball power? Pepperidge Farms remembers, but that's probably about it.
  12. We get the learning benefits of a loss without having to take a loss. A team shouldn't win when shooting 2-17 from behind the arc. Thank goodness our FT% was vastly improved over the last game.
  13. Technically he is a RS sophomore, but having to change systems after the RS year means he's really not even that. Like most of you, I don't understand the premature comparisons to QBs who have vastly more experience and are having career years.
  14. I don't think your scenario for the PAC qualifies as "crazy shit." I'm not saying it will happen, but Oregon St. beating Oregon isn't crazy, and honestly, Arizona beating Washington isn't either. FSU is the more likely path, but there is plenty of meaningful football to be played that will decide this, including by us.
  15. This. Football is a team sport. The only stat that matters is 10-1. Yes we will lose a lot of talent this year. We also have a lot of talent ready fill the void.
  16. I like this thought, and it comes with the added benefit of giving us the opportunity to avenge our one loss, which may be a small factor in whether we make it into the CFP. On the other hand, not getting to play OkSt, means they would be the only left behind team with scoreboard over us, courtesy of their win last season. Ultimately, I care most about beating Tech. If that happens, I won't really give a shit who we play.
  17. X-win Exteban, though I'm hoping for 13-win Ptheven. Should we somehow manage 14 (or 15 in future seasons), we'll have to get creative. From the Debby Downer contingent, while CTJ missed on the number of expected losses as well as the opponents that would be producing them, his prediction that we would lose to at least one of the listed is still in play. Let's hope this isn't a "spike the ball before crossing the goal line" situation.
  18. Age and getting paid are not the same as meaningful experience. '20-'21 Games played as a HS Junior: 8 '21-'22 Games played while getting paid by tOSU: 0 Having zero game experience in a completely different system during his true freshman season likely didn't add much to Quinn's preparedness for his first action as the Longhorns QB. If he is going to be compared to other QBs, it should be limited to those who have started fewer than 20 games, have had injuries that limit games played and effectiveness, and are in their second season under their current coaching staff. I'm not sure who checks all of those boxes, but I suspect that Quinn would favorably compare. Anyone expecting much more than we are getting from him at this point has unrealistic expectations.
  19. Same with that Sosa kid. Neither will amount to anything.
  20. Memphis is actually 19-1, not unbeaten. I misread their record.
