  1. True, every player who signed at Bama since Saban has been there has a Championship ring if they stayed three years. That's crazy. As for coaches, I can't think of one who was but I was too lazy to look it up and see.
  2. As much as I hate to see Bama lose coaches, it has become a yearly thing. The alternative to not losing coaches is having such crappy team/coaches that no one wants them. Thankfully as a Bama fan I have to go back fifteen years to remember that.
  3. Kirby took photos of the recruiting board on his way out the door. He then used it to negatively recruit showing players who weren't rated as highly on Bamas radar.
  4. Congrats to the Longhorns new HFBC. He went out the right way, doing Bama proud and I'm sure there is a ton of future recruits looking at Texas differently.
  5. Hopefully When Sark steps off the plane in Austin he will have been fitted for a Championship ring to show off to recruits. I will be hoping Sark does well on the forty acres. Especially if he takes care of business before leaving town. Texas needs to be a power in cfb. Oklahoma needs some competition.
  6. I saw where the Jets interviewed Marvin Lewis... talk about the NFL circle of retreads. Perhaps he's just fulfilling the Rooney rule, but how he ever gets another HC position is beyond me. The NFL just keeps passing the small group of failures around and sometimes bring in a couple of new ones.
  7. Plain as the forehead on Heather Dinichs face. Game on!
  8. Exactly HOW many years will it be before he's "NFL ready"? He was a four year starter, and coached by that QB whisperer Jim Bob Booby. Mond declared himself the best QB in the country before the 2019 season.
  9. Not only did Texas new coach produce the Heisman winner, but three of the top five vote getters.
  10. I think before Saban had to miss the Auburn game due to Covid, he would have likely retired within 2 - 3 years. But after missing that game he said he was stir crazy not being able to coach. Probably any chance Sark hung around as HCIW went out with that. At this point I could see Saban die as coach at Bama. Apparently a couple of grandkids hasn't changed the desire to coach.
  11. As far as Odom being D.C. his defenses played dirty, they were fond of doing the alligator roll with the ball carriers leg once they got them on the ground. Injured a Bama WR doing that. It wasn't a problem when Pinkel was in charge. The Arky Defense was doing it this season with Odom as DC there.
  12. "QB: I'm really interested in how this plays out. Casey will want to be the starter and he will portal if Card beats him out or if Bryce Young follows Sark. Also curious if Sark looks around and trys to bring in a veteran transfer like Riley does every year. I really want to see what Casey can do but not sure how he fits into Sark's offense." Unless Mac Jones returns in 2021 Bryce Young will be the starter, He is the only QB on the roster to have had any meaningful snaps. The only other is Paul Tyson who was a pretty good high school QB, but he's only played a few snaps last year. I guess it's possible Saban gets a transfer to add insurance but it will be Bryce Youngs team. I can't see him walking away from that to go to Texas on a chance he gets the job. Of course I'm not a 19 year old so anything is possible.
  13. I would think the Texas offensive players would be pretty excited about the hiring of Sark. I honestly think he will be a good coach for UT. Hopefully the politics won't derail things.
  14. Congratulations on your new HFC. He seems like a good guy, and if he wins Bama a ring on the way out that's even better. I for one will be pulling for him to do well. Do y'all think any of the recently signed Texas guys might reconsider with the transfer rule as they are? I don't really see Bryce young going especially if Mac Jones goes to the draft. Young is the only QB on the roster with playing time. He will go into the spring as QB1. Paul Tyson (Bear Bryants great grandson) has a few handoffs. None this year, not sure if he got to throw a pass last season. Although he was a pretty good QB in high school. Saban might be looking for a transfer in any case if there's an experienced one out there as an insurance policy.
  15. I'm a Bama fan, not an SEC! SEC! fan. Apparently with all the opt outs It really DOESN'T just mean more in the SEC. I'm hoping Cincy pulls a train on uga. Embarrassing them is just fine with me.
  16. If y'all don't get Urban, and Harsin does well at the barn, aka Auburn you can always steal him from them. It's a win win, he does well maybe he will do well at Texas. If he flames out, you know without having to find out yourselves.
  17. The Yella Fella AKA Jimmy Rane Owner of YellaWood is the big board member, the one who much of their money comes from. Maybe Milton McGregor left a bunch of his bingo-sino money to Auburn. The Auburn players used to get cash cards from his operation.
  18. I actually read a comment on TigerDroppings where the guy said one of the Networks would snap him up to be an on air analyst if he were fired. Yep they actually believe that.
  19. What is there to apologize about? Maybe to your mother/grandmother/sister.
  20. Mario cost himself millions of dollars and showed everyone what a poor coach he was. Great recruiter but coaching fail. He would have had his name tossed about in every job opening if the PAC had stayed on the sidelines this season.
  21. Saw a stat on Fromms passing, too lazy to look up but his numbers go way down when he has to pass the ball around thirty times or more. Keeping it under twenty five he has much better numbers. Texas came out and rocked Georgia early, slowed down their run game and got a big lead. He had to pass and couldn't do it. If I remember correctly the three games he passed thirty or more times were all losses.
  22. I believe Texas could very well be in the mix for a playoff spot, They're a physical team, and Herman seems to know he needs a good defense. UT just needs to not lose a head scratcher game that young teams tend to do. Then just take down OU. CFB is better with Texas being in the conversation.
  23. Kirby was a sometimes very good DC, I didn't think he was a genius. He is a great recruiter but the jury is still out on him as a great head coach, and I haven't seen anything to convince me he is. Was Mel tucker still on Georgias sideline? He is usually on the sideline instead of the booth. Looked like Kirby was calling the defense, if so UGA got Kirbyed. He is great at giving up 3rd and longs, although Texas didn't get in too many of them. Georgia got straight up whipped. Oklahoma may be looking up at a new conference standard bearer as early as next season.
  24. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Bevo go after the dog. He displayed almost as much intensity as the Longhorn football team came out with against the dogs. Great win for Texas, another strong recruiting class and UT will definitely be back in their rightful place as CFB elite. The beatdown couldn't have happened to a more deserving fanbase, haven't won anything since 1980 yet still think they're top dawg.
