  1. You should be drinking in any event.
  2. Don’t be pussies. We have this.
  3. He famously would sing “turn out the lights, the party’s over” when the MNF game was no longer in doubt.

  5. TD here and Dandy Don can start singing. Yes, I’m old.
  6. That’s what I’m talking about!!!
  7. The version that David Bowie and Bing Crosby did in the 70's on Crosby's Christmas special is great.
  8. Many will say I lose my man card, but I substitute 1/2-3/4 of the sour cream in my horseradish sauce for greek yogurt. I cannot tell the difference. And I never use any mayo.
  9. News flash. Skiing isn’t cheap at major resorts. Especially with the whole family. Resorts know that if you can afford to even get there, rent a place and pay for lift tickets you’ll have no issue paying $25 for a burger and fries. That said, there are ways to keep lunches reasonable. I’ll cook a big breakfast when skiing and my wife and I will usually split a burger or chicken sandwich or other meal. The portions are huge and half a burger with fries is plenty. Dinners out are another issue, especially at the high end resort towns.
  10. This. Nobody gets colds anymore. It’s always the flu.

I had that problem 10 years ago and the nurses made sure I farted before they would let me leave. This past summer, it wasn't an issue. I didn't have gas and the nurses didn't even ask about it. I wonder if something about my doc's procedure has changed.

Of course anticipating the usual and predictable Surly retort, but I asked my doctor two months ago about the recent change to no-digital exams and he said he doesn't buy it--at least in my case. My father, and his father, beat prostate cancer so he recommends I continue with the digital exam. So I still endure the horror.
  13. I was expecting that. I was a black coffee guy for pretty much my whole adult life until about 10 years ago. Probably had 6 or 7 cups a day until it seemed to keep me up at night. Now it's one latte at home and I'm done with coffee for the day. I agree on sugar in coffee. That's disgusting.
