The ball Golden did not catch hit him in the chest going down in the end zone. That was an NFL level throw and would have been an NFL level catch. I am not trying to harsh Golden, merely pointing out this omni-critical hate for Quinn is over the top.
I re-watched the game while coughing up a lung this week due to a cold and was on a few meds but pretty sure Golden dropped;
tipped pass at or around the 14 m Q1 mark was then later ruled incomplete after review. Golden had it in his hands came down with it and then chucked and rucked it. Not sure he breaks away because I was watching sky cam broadcast but it seemed like he would have slashed up field for a chunk.
He made 3-4 more catches in Q1 two of which are highlight worthy. Quinn threw them.
Q2 Golden got called on a rather questionable holding call that negated a pretty sweet end around.
Golden made a few more catches on some sideline patterns to close out second half. He was great, not perfect, made a lot of badass catches on throws by Quinn. Perfect he was not. Neither was Quinn.
I would not bench either because perfection does not exist. Fact is I have not seen Arch make a throw anywhere near as accurate as the dropped TD in the end zone. Maybe one day.
