  1. Baby steps bro. It's gotta take down America's sweetheart SOUND OF FREEDOM first.
  2. I won't miss it. I did enjoy Jeff Howe's Longhorn Notebook. I'm sure he'll start doing more stuff on the Horns 247 network. Midday with Trey and BK was the only show I ever truly liked. Then mangement or whoever (Erin Hogan owned the station I think?) broke them up with lineup changes that I never understood. Maybe the station would have lasted longer if the morning show wasn't such a dud. I guess Erin Hogan didn't want to replace himself with better talent. He's such milquetoast and Bucky Goldbolt is just old guy who bleats about toughness.
  3. One thing the show does well is the music. Whenever a movie/show incorporates fictional music, I can't help but judge its believability. Like, "is this "hit" song really good enough to be a hit?" "Is this band really good enough to be this famous?" Aimee-Leigh Gemstone and Baby Billy are totally believable as a famous christian country duo. Looked up the actress who plays Aimee Leigh and I see she's played by a legit country singer. That checks out. I mean, tell me this isn't a fuckin' banger:
  4. After 9pm PT, still no new Gemstones episode. Also having constant audio drops and occasional crashes. It’s bewildering how bad this piece of shit app is.
  5. Where the fuck is my new episode? MAX fucking sucks, good God. Audio has also been randomly glitching out and the app has been crashing. What a laughable piece of shit app I was forced to download.
  6. That woman must really insist upon herself. Ain't nobody trying to kidnap some busted 48 year old.
  7. Here's journalist David Pogue who rode in the Titan saying they're bolted in from the outside:
  8. Stephen A caping for his buddy Isiah today. Blames Isiah's diastrous tenure as coach & GM on politics (lol) while yadda yadda'ing multiple sexual harrasments. I guess it was office politics that forced him to collect shitty players and bad contracts like it was an ironic hobby.
  9. Too late. It's so not a thing that it became a thing.
  10. Hell of a prediction. How'd you know?
  11. Cmon, Scott!!! We need you!
  12. Havent patricipated here until recently. Sorry if this has been beaten to death, but.... I can't be the only one who never stopped thinking about this:
  13. I was wondering that, too! The montage ends with Ted waking up on his flight home. Which, uh, seems to suggests that it was all a dream? But it doesn't really fit the tone of the show to have an ambiguous ending. Maybe it was just an awkward editing choice?
  14. Jesus. I respond to your post in good faith just looking for some good natured debate and you sperg out about reading comprehension and neg me. lol. My bad - I didn't read all your posts that carefully, and didn't realize that in your imaginary off-screen converations, Shiv and Tom just had discussions that stopped short of solidifying a plan. One thing I did catch re-reading your posts was this: Yeah, go back and re-watch that sequence. You probably won't answer the questions I asked in my previous post, but you are 100% wrong here. Shiv wasn't waiting for Tom. The sequence very clearly communicates Shiv being presented with a choice and choosing to go with Tom. She was not waiting for him.
  15. Yeah it seemed intentional. I wonder what the intent was.
  16. Fuck yeah. We got a series boys.
  17. Tom never said he wasn't interested in getting back together. His answer was literally, "I don't know." Another thing - your theory is derived 100% from your imagination. Nothing in the actual text supports your theory. There is nothing to suggest your theory of what happened off screen is any more likely than - Shiv changed her mind and decided her best option was to bend the knee to Tom. You cited The Sopranos earlier when arguing about stuff happening off screen. I assume you're referring to the ending. The thing with The Sopranos is David Chase left probably dozens of context clues telling the viewer what happened to Tony. He inexplicably shopped for CEO's behind Shiv's back like 18 hours before the deal was done. Was that not foolish? This point just doesn't land at all for me. Mattson just seemed to be making contrived choices to get the plot to the Tom ending anyway. If Tom and Shiv had this all planned in advance, why does Tom approach Shiv and say, "I got a car in 20 if you want to join" during the post-vote changeover celebration? Why was the sequence of Tom getting in the car shot in a way that dramatically revealed Shiv was in car waiting for him? (HINT HINT! The filmmakers are trying to tell us something!) It's flat out bizarre that you've convinced yourself this off-screen stuff happened with zero supporting evidence in the actual text, and not even a little a wink or anything between Tom and Shiv in that final shot to give us even the subtlest hint they had this coup planned.
  18. Still not as bad as this:
  19. As the Cat Stevens song played, I thought, "hey this is the song that the Flaming Lips copyright infringed upon." Then during the credits, the show actually played a clip from "Fight Test" - the song that sparked the lawsuit. That was a curious choice. The Flaming Lips ended up having to pay Stevens 75% of the royalties they earn for that song. So Mr. Islam will be gettin a nice royalties check from Warner Bros.
  20. Season would have taken an interesting turn if Nate hung himself after playing the violin.
  21. One visual cue that hints at what's going with the story during the climax is the kids arguing outside the boardroom. It was a callback to Shiv's funeral speech. At the end of it all they're still just spoiled children squealing outside the room where the adults are getting shit done. Shiv didn't make a secret alliance. For starters, dramatically it doesn't make sense given that the characters and audience both know Tom was picked by Mattson. We saw Shiv's honest emotional reaction to the news. Shiv was pissed off at Tom and remained so through that final shot in the car (among other emotions - she was clearly conflicted). Everything leading up to that scene from the pilot onward told me that nobody was going to "win." Shiv was being petty and vindictive and couldn't handle Ken winning.
  22. Good to hear something interesting finally happens this week.
  23. "Two time executive of the year! Architect of 4 championships!" lol @ Woj carrying water for agents/sources in exchange for breaking news.
