  1. is there a depth chart out? i dont see it posted on ut athletics site.
  2. $200 for Stagg jr is about the norm. Seemed to be the best price up there
  3. So let me see if I got this straight. We lost our first volleyball and soccer game?
  4. imo, san antonio is up there with new orleans and santa fe as having the most unique culture and feel of any american city. mi tierra, the mercado. so many places where you could think you were in a foreign country.
  5. i thought it was excellent. looking forward to the season.
  6. thats a low bar
  7. I am busting at the seams with bourbon. bottles overflowing shelves, cabinets, tables, on the floor and everywhere. been trying to drink faster than i buy but losing that battle. last two bottles i killed were an ezra 7 and a larceny store pick. both serviceable but not noteworthy. last two bottles i was impressed with were a rebecca creek spanish oak, a peerless double oak. i also swore off bardstown so trying to plow through those. last one i killed was one of the early discovery or fusion (cant remember which or the number). it was so good i'm second guessing killing the rest of them.
  8. i heard good things about mezquite but checked out the menu and just didnt get it. i'll probably do isidore first, next time i'm in the area. last time i was at the pearl we tried best quality daughter. cant give it high enough praise. she is knocking it out of the park. outstanding cocktails and food - really creative, really unique, unbelievably impressive.
  9. in the mid 2000's there was a high end place there but cant remember the name of it. had many a good meal. nice view, every course was excellent. it had a little southwestern flare, like chile powder rubbed ribeye, etc.
  10. if they both make the final three, kyle still wins. shes his behind the scenes partner but that still means he was doing most of the work and more deserving of the win. her role is to keep quiet, be sheepish, and pretend she's not in an alliance.
  11. kyle is the new frontrunner. joe has done nothing but win challenges (and be likable, which is something). not smart enough to strategize. shauhin was the only one close to strategizing like kyle.
  12. tell me about the history of that building in the second to the last pic please.
  13. kamilla has played the most interesting game i think ive ever seen. on the surface its poor me, i'm not in an alliance, i'm on the bottom, but in reality she has orchestrated move after move. i dont think she'll win. theyve kept her around only because they dont realize shes a threat, but if she ends up in the final three shes going to kick their ass.
  14. tycoon flats smoke shack la fonda cappys sams cullums a million places at the pearl
  15. I was 90% sure it was joe. what a bunch of dumbasses. they may never get a better chance. if eva gets any wind of it she will play her idol on him. they had her hoodwinked perfectly. my prediction is kyle and kamilla call the next vote. mitch, and joe or shahin get looped in to blindside the other. one of those two have to go next.
  16. theres every reason weller should smoke the shit out of old fitz
  17. the tacos were great. we ordered 8 different ones for 3 people and split them. my only regret is we didnt order all that were on the menu. they were all excellent. we had the corn nibs and chips and salsa so did not try the charro beans. next time.
  18. had a fantastic trip last wed-sat. stopped at choke canyon along the way and dug the park. saw about 10 wild turkeys grazing in the campground. breakfast in three rivers sucked. from there to a friends restaurant in edinburg for lunch, then on to the art museum in mcallen, la lomita, and then on to the national butterfly center. had supper at ana liz taqueria (james beard winner and texas monthly top 50 taco). rented a 4-bdrm house in mission for $200/night with a pool. great house! next morning was bentsen state park then teddys bbq. both excellent. teddy's is well-deserving of their top 50 ranking - as good if not better than leroy and lewis and tejas in tomball. then hit santa ana wildlife refuge and quinta mazatlan. more wild turkeys at bentsen, kiskadees, chacalacas, green jays all over, inca doves, orioles, and caracawa at bentsen. supper that night was mi genta (top 50 taqueria). fri was back to my friends place in edinburg for breakfast, laguna acosta wildlife refuge, across the border to progresso (for maybe an hour max), spacex, vera's bbq (top 50 bbq and top 50 tacos). every restaurant i ever ordered barbacoa there was just one listing on the menu - barbacoa. vera's has 20 different kinds - mixta, lamb, brains and eyes, and on and on. we had 4 kinds and i wish i had the other 16. all outstanding. supper that night in harlingen at some old seafood place from the 50's. had the whole flounder and it was top notch. next day stopped in kingsville at the king ranch museum and saddle shop, then on to san antonio and home. its an area of the state i'd never been to and well worth a visit. i plan on going back.
  19. because they cant break the code on their own.
