  1. I work in state government. My boss starting working for the state the year before I was born. I am 47 years old. She doesn't know exactly what I do, nor how to do my job in the event that I wasn't around. She treats the women in our area with kid gloves and allows them to get away with murder. Meanwhile, my one other male co-worker and I are always treated with a sense of suspicion, like we're trying to get away with something. It's infuriating. That being said, she isn't a raving asshole. Just ignorant and (IMO) a misandrist. She doesn't micromanage and because of her ignorance, we can get things done without too much pushback. She just wants the credit, which I don't care about. I just want the proper results. None of us believe she'll retire, she'll die in her office. But if she did retire, I wouldn't be sad or happy. I don't really care. 13 years till retirement, y'all.
  2. I've never wanted to go leopard hunting until today.
  3. I've been buying the same bodywash on Amazon for a while now but when I tried to order it again, they "Don't know when this will be available again". WTF, I'm used to this one now!
  4. I was gutted to hear this. I just love his music. And while this might be an unpopular opinion, I think his version of "Me and Bobby McGee" is the best that has ever been recorded. He makes you feel like you're right there with him, inside the song. Godspeed, Charley.
  5. Israel???
  6. Would you kindly steer one of those guys to Stillwater, OK? Because this sounds like crazy talk. Thanks in advance.
  7. I don't give a shit if it's ohio st, michigan or purdue. Don't change the rules at the end of the game, that's some weak shit. And yes, I thought it was dumb to cancel games as early as the B10 did, I thought they should've waited to see how bad it got before making a decision.
  8. If you're willing to change shit up on the fly, do it for more than just a money grab. I hate it when there's a fuck up during a game and it costs a team a victory, only to have the brass say "Yeah, that sucks but we're powerless to reverse that outcome or to fix anything.". Either be about getting things right all the time, or deal with the rules you already made.

    OKST @ TCU

Yeah well, the offense decided it was their turn to handle those duties.
  10. My ex-wife intitially went to college on a music scholarship for playing the sax and could also play the piano. I expressed a desire to learn to play the guitar during our marriage and she totally shot that shit down, I never did get an answer as to why. After we eventually divorced, I decided to take lessons (I was 35 at this time). I bought a mexican strat off of ebay and took lessons. I sucked, the experience sucked, I was so frustrated. Looking back, I think I should've found a better instructor. I sold the guitar and gear and bought golf clubs. I suck at that too but at least it's fun. I want to try again but now I'm 47 and I don't know if my hands are up to the task. If I do, I'm going to go for an acoustic guitar instead. Do some flamenco shit, like Esteban.

Man, those places have "new patient sign up" specials all the time. $99 and you can do it on facetime. It's pretty much medicinal in name only. CSB/ I went to the dispensary with my buddy (I don't smoke). Not only did the worker let me in the back with the product, he told me "Next time, tell him what you want before you come in and it's all good".
  12. I worked in a county jail in the mid 90s. A guy and his wife were in jail, awaiting trial for beating their infant daughter to death. The guy was a little loudmouth, always had the other inmates cracking up. I wondered why he wasn't looked at as a monster but whatever. One day, I saw him in a different pod and he looked like hell. Turns out the local news did a story on him and plastered his face on the TV, all the guys in the dayroom saw it and beat his ass pretty good.
  13. No offense, but it's because Texas isn't very good and ou is usually very good.
  14. I've ignored toll bills from Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and, by gum, they can't find me on the map!
  15. Damn, I just about nailed it. It's like I've seen this movie before or something.
  16. It doesn't matter, look at who's pulling the strings. The only OCs that resisted were Dana, who didn't give a fuck, and Monken, who was Gundy's BFF and told him GTFO his offense.
  17. To be fair, he's kind of a fuckstick.
  18. He was on Bob Simmons' staff for one, Lester's staff for 2, got 2 on his own.
  19. The defense is pretty good but why on earth do you think OSU "should" win? Gundy's won this game twice. Once with the greatest team in the history of the fucking program and the other when Stoops made one of the most boneheaded mistakes of his career. The spread was at 10 until some covid rumors have it down around 7. I want a win badly but Gundy + Sanders' turnovers = 38-16 fuckheads win.
  20. There's talk on the interwebs that 20 or so ou players are out with covid. This supposedly includes 3-5 defensive starters, one starting WR (Haselwood) and maybe their really good TE. I believe none of this and still expect to get thrashed. Sanders just ain't that good, he'll have 2+ turnovers and give the goons a short field for a couple of easy TDs. 38-16 shitbags. Fuck ou.
  21. Man, I just gave Crime Junkie a try and it fucking sucks. The chick throws in a "like" 17 times a sentence and her sidekick is equally as vapid. Why do women talk in real life as if they're starring in a sitcom? My wife does this when she's telling a story and it's all I can do to not leave the room when it happens.
  22. My dad and his family are all born and raised in Bloomington. He used to tell me all the time about the '67 team that went to the Rose Bowl, I tried to not roll my eyes. IU football is trash, the late 80s were cool but it's just a bad program. I just concentrated on the basketball team and that was good enough for me. That being said... I know the rankings are stupid, this isn't a top 10 team. I know the teams they've played are shit. But...this is a fucking whack-job of a season. Nobody knows what's goiong to happen, it's a crapshoot. I'm excited as hell to watch these kids win some games. Fuck Michigan and Penn State.
  23. My grandfather was an artilleryman in WW2. My uncles said he wouldn't talk about what he saw with anyone but his buddies at the VFW hall. Both of my parents were USAF, they met in tech school. After they got married in 1969, they were told one of them had to GTFO, so mom left. Dad was active duty from 1967-1993, started as a medic and retired as hospital administration. Never got sent to Nam, closest we got was the Philippines in 1976. When I was a kid, I asked him why he didn't go to Vietnam. He shrugged and said "President Nixon didn't tell me to go." I didn't get it as a kid, but I laugh about it now.
  24. His ear is AWOL. That was horrific.
  25. The older I get, the more easily triggered I get by certain words. Kiddo(s), hubby (hubs), doggo are the worst offenders. Yummy is another one.
