  1. I don’t remember the exact recruit.
  2. "Whatever do you mean, the kool aid tastes funny?" - Jim Jones
  3. The bag she drove to Florida and dropped while basically documenting and telegraphing it the entire way was too much. Jimbo had to cut bait after that, which is basically when she finally shut the fuck up. Now her ego is scorned and battered by being neglected by her only true love, so she is setting herself out to pasture. And absolutely no one gives a fuck about her. Seminole fans, aggie fans, Texas fans...she is universally hated. Such a shame for such a pleasant person.
  4. PRIME steaks? Marbling looks as though they could be prime. Is this the right thread for prime steaks? Also, it comes as no surprise whatsoever that Steel Shank is a NY Strip man. Every man worth his salt understands that it is the far superior cut. And they look like they are almost ready. I'd say another 60 seconds per side and they are done to perfection. Only thing I'd add is about 10X that amount of black pepper.
  5. My organization was building a new facility for a different business unit and they incorporated a bunch of money into the build to house our backup/DR datacenter. We were included in all the design and drawings discussions to make sure we had everything we needed included on the design. Construction took about two years, and about a month prior to opening the facility for use, the contractors allowed us in to start putting in switching and networking equipment. We walked into the proposed datacenter and someone had done a change order mid stream that no one bothered to tell IT about. The change order ran about six exposed 2" water lines directly over the top of, and down the full length of, the eight server racks. Management couldn't understand why we refused to put several million dollars worth of equipment into the room.
  6. She had some other event at that same place. I am pretty sure that place is in Old Town RR, so not even in the same City as the one she is supposed to represent.
  7. Thanks for the info. I think we should be able to safely avoid most of the bullshit.
  8. Does anyone know what Port A looks like for Spring Break these days? Back in the stone age when I was in High School, we would ride our dinosaurs down there and the beach would be wall-to-wall people getting shitfaced for several miles down the beach. I was actually waiting in line for the ferry to leave the day the riot broke out back in 88. There would be two lanes of traffic going both direction and either side flanked by parked cars and drunken revelers. I would guess it is not quite the same as it used to be, but really have no idea. We are heading down next week for 5 days. Staying a private house so we won't have to deal with a bunch of drunk kids in a hotel. Just curious what to expect on the beaches.
  9. They have to continually take more WR's to replace the ones that portal out once they realize they won't ever catch any passes.
  10. They finally got the site fixed and completely caught up on all of the transaction last night. Three and half months seems pretty good for that, right?
  11. Happy Birthday, Texas!!!
  12. I’ve forgotten what number you have to order, but Top Notch has a secret menu item that includes: Longhorn burger Fries Drink 1 piece of your choice bone in fried chicken 1 fried pie of you flavor choice.
  13. It's gotta be a ransomware. That's why they are making everyone create new passwords and new account numbers, and I assume there is some warehouse in India where they are watching hours and hours of tapes and manually re-creating the toll transactions.
  14. They started their website "update" process on November 23rd. It's been 92 fucking days and they are probably about a week out from finally getting all of the historical transaction data caught up in the system. As of this posting, they are caught up to February 4th, 2021 in past transactions.
  15. I guess I’ve never noticed the The Dude was slamming Caucasians and searching for his rug 10 years to the date prior to the Twin Towers falling.
  16. That is a much better situation than shopping at around 9:00 AM on a Sunday and having some rando remind you that you can't buy your shit for 3 more hours. Fucking blue laws are ridiculous in this day and age.
  17. My GF drives a Cherokee Trailhawk. She is literally the LAST person on earth that needs or understands what 4WD means. She got it because it looked cool and the seats were more comfortable. She's had it for 4 years and it has been in 4WD drive only a handful of times, mostly just me fucking around in sport mode. She put it in "Rock Mode" once when she was driving down a typical caliche road and was very impressed with herself. With all of that said, we used the snow mode over this past event and it kicked ass. Especially dirving around in Brisket's neighborhood which looked like a more hilly/darker version of siberia where the ice and snow never seemed to melt.
  18. While I agree with all of that, I do not have any means to make it happen. I was simply reporting what I read.
  19. I used the insulated bag shown up thread and then topped that with the Styro cone. Then stacked mulch bags against the wall in front of where the pipe comes up to keep the wind off of it. No drip/flow. On my normal spigot that comes from inside the wall on the front/North side of the house, I had no issue at all. On the back of the house, the old owner relocated the the spigot a few feet using exposed copper. The spigot itself was perfectly fine. I wrapped the exposed copper with tube insulation and stacked mulch bags in front of it. I had a break on a 45* angle on the second to last day of the event. Sweated out the angle and capped it once I found a buddy that had some acetylene. I have no backyard spigot and I can’t use the sink on the back porch until I get someone to come out and do the real repairs, but I don’t need either of those right now anyway. I’ll give it a few weeks and let the plumbers help the people that really need it now.
  20. Oncor was doing maintenance on a line not associated with Georgetown and killed a very substantial LCRA transmission line that knocked out 3 Georgetown substations which affected about 2/3 of the city. All Georgetown systems were operating as normal, they just lost their feed from the LCRA. As soon as the LCRA line was repaired, the Georgetown system was fine. Outage ended up being about 3 hours. The city was also working around the clock to replenish all of the water storage tanks, including the one that overflowed. It was almost full when the power went out and the power outage affected the overflow sensor which led to the running water reported at 29/DB Wood.
  21. My broken copper line was 1/2”. House probably built around ‘80
  22. Went to the HEEB (HEB on Far West) today. Got in line at 11:15 for a noon opening. First group went in at 11:30, my group went in at 11:45. Guy out front said they hadn’t had a delivery since Friday. Wasn’t ANY produce. Quite a bit of beef. No chicken. No real milk products but plenty of coconut, oat, soy etc. No regular eggs but lots of organic farm raised at $10/18 pack. Bread aisle was completely bare. I would have been ecstatic if I could have grabbed a half gallon of 1/2 and 1/2 but overall I was thankful for what I got.
  23. They’ll be here just as the thermos are hitting 80degrees.
