  1. Dude has been the most entertaining part of most of our home games this year. Give that kid some NIL.
  2. They have the votes but they win on chaos, fear, and hate. They have no incentive, not yet at least, to do anything substantive. Unfortunately, it's to the point that Dems have to play the same game or they'll never win anything. They have to show they can win on the same playbook the Rs use. And we're all fucked until they do. Might be fucked after, too...
  3. I'm curious who the 2 maybe 3 are.
  4. We'd have a considerably more educated society. Then the populace would see through some of the thinly veiled bullshit flying around today. So it'll never happen.
  5. I manage to figure out a way to play out there a couple times a year and it always delivers. Close to the best greens I've putted on in Texas, up there with DNat. Also love that each hole is very unique from the rest of the course. No repeats. Your entire game gets tested out there. Views are stellar for a couple of holes but otherwise they're a bit hidden - that's probably my only complaint about that place other than the cost.
  6. I missed this message during the broadcast or just after I suppose. That was the highlight of the race.
  7. That was a "personal" threat? Really? That's how soft you've gotten?
  8. Love the idea but is ANYONE in the D party doing any kind of messaging at all? Their silence for the past 10 months juxtaposed against what we all know the R's would be doing if the script were flipped is nauseating.
  9. Better than most! Wristband sold.
  10. Daughter wanted to go weekend one with her friends (shocker) so now we have an extra for ACL weekend two. In Austin, can meet up locally. $400
  11. Hate to break it to ya but you're going to need to have that reversed. Turns out being a procrastinator like me pays off yet again!
  12. Paul McGinley talked a ton (nearly non stop) about analytics, mental prep, team building, etc during the broadcast. Given he's closely involved with the Euro Ryder Cup team, he clearly knows what he's talking about and not just making shit up to fill up time. On the flip side, you didn't hear anything like that coming from Azinger or Bones or Smylie - either they're not involved at all (which for Smylie, fine, but Azinger?) or the US doesn't do any of the stuff McGinley was talking about. I'm guessing the US doesn't do any of the stuff McGinley talked about. And if he talked about that much, he's probably hiding 3x the stuff. Totally different mindsets. Totally different approaches. One clearly works.
  13. This feels like we're missing the story here. People hate each other for their religion - that has been the story of the world since the dawn of time and I don't know of any place that has this solved. Mental illness is a major issue throughout the world and while some countries (European, generally) have a better plan for it, it's still largely unsolved. Add in the issue of PTSD Veterans and the world largely ignoring their needs and we have another mostly unsolved issue. Guns, however - we have a solution for that. European countries have proven the solution. New Zealand has proven the solution. It's right there! It doesn't solve the whole problem but it addresses a huge part of it and it's something we can actually do - we know this b/c it's already been done. Control what you can control.
  14. Yup. These are my people.
  15. That's fair, and I agree to an extent. I still think it was more advantageous to the US but perhaps not advantageous enough (well, clearly not advantageous enough). Another school of thought I'm starting to come around to is the typical American bomb and gouge advantage just isn't an advantage anymore like it used to be when we had DJ, Brooks, and Tiger. There are enough Euros that thrive in the current bomb and gouge setting but can still succeed in the "must hit fairways and putts" setting and outside a few Americans, we struggle with that.
  16. That's my argument - this course WAS setup to be advantageous to the US. No penalities off the tee, soft attackable greens, wide enough fairways. Euro favored courses are tight, penal, brutal rough, rock greens. Minus the rock greens, that's exactly what Paris and Rome were. And again, didn't matter. Euros trashed us anyways. Keegan saying they could have set the course up different is a bullshit distraction from the reality that he fucked up pairings and the players were totally outclassed.
  17. It's called rain. Also, a harder, more penalizing course benefits Europe. They fare better with tight fairways, higher rough, and rock hard greens. A course where you can just bomb and gouge, like this week, generally benefits the US. Yet.... Here we are.
  18. Once the match starts, no, but not like it'd be any different.
  19. It's been around since 1979. Hardly ever (only once I think) does it get used. And it's completely inconsequential this time around. Whole bunch of nothing. Re-aim the angst at our sack of shit players and their captain.
  20. BDC is not good for the game of golf. He's not entertaining. He's cringe. He makes golf look hard, unapproachable, and douchey. The game will be better off when he finally puts up the clubs. Fuck that guy.
  21. They'll play it out most likely. Might see some matches concede early but these guys all care too much, despite this less than moving performance.
  22. Pretty sure the caddy did it to Rose twice - got in his read - and the 2nd time Rose was done with the bullshit.
  23. Nope. Hard to root for. Pretty much the exact opposite of Europe.
  24. If the ball is the reason for some of these absurd pairings, that's inexcusable. A TP5 plays so similar to a Pro V1x and the Callaway counterpart. And these players are so damn good, they know exactly how they have to adjust to switch balls. These guys are just worse than the Euros in match. And their captain and vice captains are so much smarter than Keegan and Co. They love each other like brothers. I don't know what to call the American's "camaraderie".
  25. People who attend most US golf events are the dumbest human beings on the planet. If you want to watch golf for the golf and not the douchebags trying to make a scene, you gotta go across the pond or pay your way into Augusta.
