  1. People are just dumb as hell.
  2. Might as well have been "Guys, I'm grasping at straws to figure out how we will possibly stay relevant. Therefore, we don't need to pay attention at all to player rankings."
  3. He did three shows at the Bowery Ballroom earlier this year, capacity like 500. The guy just loves being on stage.
  4. Got mine for Denver. Family tickets set, plus an extra for me so I can attend the preshow soundcheck.
  5. I got my tickets to that Coors Field show. 4 for the family in row 21, and one 6th row extra for me for the soundcheck pre-show. Seen him several times but this is likely to be the last, so I went for it. Gonna be great!!
  6. Suck it, Dawgs
  7. "Are you okay?" "I'm pretty fucking far from okay."
  8. That was my bed for sure. Mom probably ordered it out of the Sears catalog.
  9. That apology was solid. We should buy him a sixer to say thanks.
  10. One of my favorite parts of this recruiting cycle is when we lose out on someone, we say "Texas has fidelity. They have a monetary cap on recruits, and they aren't going to go over and get in a bidding war...that's for someone like Tech or Baylor to do." Then when there's a chance to get a really solid player, the tune changes to "Holy shit empty the bank and go get that guy!" To be clear, I'm 100% on board with your strategy. Cooper would be a great get. I also know shit about fuck.
  11. This is my favorite surstromming video:
  12. That describes CU football pretty well.
  13. Hockey guy could've ended him for real and chose to just toss him like a dwarf for about 20 feet. That was solid restraint.
  14. Given the recent state of things, Turntine's commitment is equal parts and
  15. I contribute through the legitimate channels but that's not my point. I'm saying that many posters here continue to find creative ways to feel optimistic about a pretty shitty situation. Believe me, I hope like hell that we get some of these guys over the course of the fall. But to this point, recently losing out on top guys has sucked and it seems like it has caught our recruiting staff off guard. I don't think anyone here can say with a straight face that they feel really satisfied with the way things have gone over the past 2 weeks. That's all I'm saying. Again, here's hoping that the staff is able to turn things around this fall. And fingers crossed for Turntine today.
  16. Yeah sorry if I derailed things a bit -- my point was that the Indianapolis monologue is, to me, the scariest part of the whole movie. Just an incredible scene in an incredible movie.
  17. Good God there is so much copium on this thread for the past week. Lots of people saying it's the long game, wait till December, we will have flips, use the portal, we'll just use the leftover money on the next guy, Ojo is overrated, other programs are cheating, guys like Ojo go to Tech to die, etc etc etc. The reality is that Sark and Co did not read the tea leaves well this cycle. Obviously we really wanted most of the guys that rejected us -- Henderson, Lee, Griffin, Edwards, Lott, Finley, and on and on. We have been in second place for about a dozen highly ranked guys. I mean I think Ojo is full of himself and is more of a developmental player than a Kelvin Banks clone, but he's the #1 fucking OL recruit in the country. You don't think that's a guy we should be upset at losing, when we were in the lead two days before his announcement? Guaranteed if he chose the good guys, this board would be crowing about landing him. And for good reason; Flood would make that guy a beast here. Will we be okay in the long run? Who the hell knows. Recent history says yes, but recent history also said we'd have landed a good chunk of these second place finishes. Anyway, doom rant over, but honestly recruiting this cycle has been a fucking gut punch.
  18. Baby I'm a Star is a fantastic song. It was back in the 80s and it still remains so in 2025. Purple Rain is one of the albums that has held up the best throughout the decades.
  19. The Indianapolis monologue, Norman Bates’ conversation with Marion Crane in the study in Psycho, and chigurh’s “call it” coin flip scene in NCFOM are probably my top 3 favorite movie moments ever.
  20. When I said that on Friday I about got run out on a rail. I guess we hit a consensus tipping point. I still believe that we will get some flips and that in the end all will be right and good, but yeah it does suck to be second place over and over again.
  21. We are losing out on one "50/50" guy after another. It sucks. I know we're gonna rebound, recruit through the whistle blah blah blah, but it sucks to get second place time after time after time.
  22. I have the same dynamic with those exact family members, except it only happens when I whip out my cock
