  1. Soft spot for this buried treasure on the mostly forgettable Dynasty album:
  2. Damn right. Birds is fantastic -- as tight as anything Jane's ever put out.
  3. At the risk of saying "I told you so," a couple of weeks back on this thread I suggested that I'd rather play against Mateer than Hawkins. My thought at the time was "yeah, rush him back and let's play his injured ass, because he's gonna suck." Glad the ou coaches obliged and put his sorry ass in there. Dipshits.
  4. I am not understanding the logic -- wouldn't you want to hire the guy that beat your last coach?
  5. Just read that photographer's account of the situation. He's technically right, but he also sounds like kind of an asshole. Back on track, I've only heard a couple of the new AE songs but thought they were both a little lackluster.
  6. For all of the development and growth he needs to do, I'm glad we have this guy on our team.
  7. I'm as big a VH guy as there is, and you are dead on. Their late late era retreads were so painful.
  8. College football is so fucking awesome
  9. Agreed. Testament just keeps getting better and better.
  10. Taaffe was a fucking badass last weekend. Man on a mission to destroy both plays and players.
  11. I don’t care. Fuck all of them, at every position.
  12. ou players #47 and #49 come screaming in from the top of the screen at about 10 seconds, and then they both proceed to run like lumbering cattle while most of the Texas team flies past them. I remember the dark days in which this was reversed, watching our slow ass dipshits run a blazing 6.5 40 while ou players sped away from them with ease. Man it's good to have the correct order of things restored.
  13. BIJAN
  14. Was there for the sound check and then the family joined for the actual show. We figured this was his last tour so we ponied up for great seats right up front. Both sets were fantastic. Beau is right, his age is catching up with him, but he still sounded great and the show (although very scripted) still delivers all of the emotions, memories, etc. My wife and sang and danced our asses off, at times the kids were into it and most of the time they were embarrassed by their parents, as it should be. Macca is such a legend, playing every instrument at his disposal and just creating an atmosphere for everyone to forget about all of the bullshit for a while and just have a great time where everything is actually okay for 3 hours. We had a great damn time.
  15. even ou insiders understands the truth ou that crap sucks.mov
  16. They did but we missed them. Walked into the venue literally right when Shonen Knife came on.
  17. Wife and I went to the Shonen Knife show last night. Very small venue, the Shonen Knife vibe was electric, big smiles all around. Sweet Candy Power was the big crowd pleaser song of the evening.
  18. I'll be at the pre-show soundcheck, let me know if you will be there for that. Gonna be a great day.
  19. done, would've paid more if a photo of you and CPAP hanging in the frat house were available good luck in Dallas
  20. Blackbraid concert was sick. Opener Lamp of Murmuur was actually surprisingly good with lots of energy and riffage, and they were cool as hell after the show. But BB totally brought the house down. The way they weave in the Native American stuff is so cool and seems genuine, not really a schtick. But mostly it's the intensity -- just nonstop brutality and energy. Plus it was very cool to be up against the stage with my son just full-on raging. You can see him halfway through this video, although he's nothing more than just a mass of flailing hair. Badass. Also the dudes in BB were very cool. They gave me a drumstick and the setlist after the show, shook hands all around. During the show one of the guitarists leaned over to press his forehead against mine and screamed in my face while wailing away on his solo. At one point the singer jumped into the crowd between my son and I and just started moshing it up with us and the sold-out crowd. It was loud, sweaty, the smell of beer / weed / sweat in the air, bodies being thrown, feeling the amps reverberating in my feet and chest, fists and horns flying, dude setting something on fire on the stage -- what more do you want from a fucking metal show?? 21. Will post the video on the metal thread, but my son and I were up against the stage for Blackbraid last night. They brought it. Such a great show, high energy, smelly, sweaty, loud as hell, and pure adrenaline on top of all of the cultural Native American stuff they weave into their brand of black metal. So good.
  22. My son swears by the Big Ass Truck EP. We're headed to Blackbraid tonight.
  23. That experience could actually be a pretty entertaining movie.
  24. Now there's 32 circles
  25. I was at that train wreck. Interminable.
