  1. Oh yeah? Well I won't be surprised by any number between 15 and 40, so take that.
  2. Recent shows: Ministry -- loud, fun, Melvins were a great opener, setlist was very political as usual, Al with more energy than I expected: Girl Talk was everything you'd expect -- hot, sweaty, drunken, tons of dancers onstage, bubbles, confetti, beach balls, everybody dancing from opener to closer: Gojira opened for Deftones but I like to think of it as the Gojira show because they were fucking awesome, I am surprised the arena is still standing after the bludgeoning hammer they laid down for an hour: Cradle of Filth was fun, Dani was in good voice and with surprisingly good energy despite a lame crowd: Danzig was totally out of shape but the show was fun, he still preened around like he was 25, no Misfits tunes but still a decent show: Overall Gojira was far and away the best band of those bands. They were tight and deafening and left a crater smoldering after they finished. However the best crowd energy was for Ministry -- they went crazy, the pits were brutal, and there was no one sitting. I know Al hates performing but they did a great job and the crowd was in it 100%. Taking my daughter to see Macca in NYC in a few weeks -- cannot wait. Paul puts on the best shows I've ever seen, and this one won't disappoint. Also have Crue / Leppard, Anthrax / Black Label Society / Hatebreed, and Rammstein on the horizon. So glad shows are back!
  3. You can take the girl out of Miami, but you can't take the Miami out of the girl.
  4. I'd have more respect for Jimbo if he just came out and said, "Yeah, we're paying players. Everyone else is too. Try to stop us." But cucks do what cucks do.
  5. Jimbo is exactly like Nathan Thurm. It's unbelievable:
  6. what was filming that?
  7. My dad worked at TI when it was over on 183. He was at TI from the beginning and was affiliated with the teams that created the first semiconductor. We had all of the iterations of the TI 99-4 -- the speech synthesizer, the modem where you'd literally place the phone onto the little suction cups, the voice recognition thing so you could yell out "first base" on that shitty Milton Bradley baseball game and the guy would throw it to first base, the massive ROM extension cabinet. Tunnels of Doom still holds up; I play it with my kids using an emulator. It's a blast.
  8. wish I could rep 100 times.
  9. I think you're right. Good call. I was wondering if I saw Italy there, but I couldn't make out the positioning of the various Mediterranean islands. Now I get it. Cool to see the Adriatic and Croatia / Albania / Greece in the background as they start to fly over northern Africa. Well done.
  10. So cool. Can anyone figure out what part of the earth is featured? I can't tell.
  11. Alright chumps!
  12. Yeah, that's the view from the Fairmont. Had pretty much that exact view when I stayed there last Christmas, sans the shitty Raising Cains and the floating yoga guy.
  13. Sales rep seemed like a real go-to guy when the shit hits the fan.
  14. Sounds like a fun pizza party. Actual photo of Phillip seeing that million-dollar cheque:
  15. The 2005 Rose Bowl was a pretty good time now that I think about it
  16. Andrew Jones kicked cancer's ass and ou's ass. He's a fucking legend.
  17. Interesting. I'm completely opposite. If I tune into a sports radio program, I want to listen to people discussing sports. I couldn't give two shits about their personal lives, inside jokes, personalities, etc. If I want that sort of stuff, I'll tune into Howard or one of the other talk or specialty satellite channels.
  18. Maybe they got tired of him asking 5 minute questions and not leaving guests enough time to answer. "Hey coach, here's something I've been thinking about for a while now. It just seems like things are upside down right now, and I'll tell you what. I just don't understand it. I really don't. I really don't. You have guys that are supposed to be getting a college education, and they are just chasing money now. Just dollar signs. I don't understand it. I mean, where have we gotten to? What place have we gotten to? How did we get here? I mean, it's been on my mind for a long time now. It's been brewing but now it's here. It really is. It's here. And I don't think it's right. What about the kid's education? I mean, it's a college sport, not a professional sport. It's not even the minor leagues. It's a-ma-teur athletics. But now you are paying players, using NIL and whatever else, and the college education is just an irritation. It really is. I mean, I just don't know how we let ourselves get into this situation. I really don't. But it just seems to me that we've lost sight of what's really important here. I don't know, is that just me? Do others see it the way I do? Maybe I'm just crazy, I don't know. Maybe I'm just out to lunch with this whole deal. But it just seems wrongheaded to me. It really does. I'll tell you what, it really does. Totally, totally wrongheaded. Your thoughts?"
  19. What we do know for certain is that the lady in blue is a real cool customer during a crisis.
  20. I am not convinced that Sark will name Ewers the starter at the beginning of the season. But however it shakes out, I believe he'll be starting by the time we play ou. I cannot WAIT for him to make that deep throw to Neyor in the Cotton Bowl and send ou back to their miserable state with a loss.
  21. Like anyone could even know that, Napoleon.
