  1. Right now - I’m WFH. My wife just retired, so she can be home with the kid for his schooling. I’d go back to the office for double my salary. We would hit my retirement goal that much faster.
  2. It really does depend on the job. The more isolated I am and the fewer people that can reach me, the better. I work off of an issues database (ticket system for lack of a better term). I rarely need to talk to the design team or the engineer team - not to mention a lot of the design team is over seas and only reachable by email or after hours (for me) teams message. Being in office is a massive disadvantage and distraction. I went in once to update my laptop to the lastest windows. I watched at least three different folks come into our area and have 30 minute conversations - mostly about anything other than work.
  3. Crockett Street was great in the early 2000’s when we would come to town for the SETX wake boarding tournament. Good times.
  4. Fuck working in an office. I can and have done my job remote all over the world. I have zero interest in spending any in person time with colleagues.
  5. Too many kids were taught govt / history by coaches that didn’t give two shits about either.
  6. After watching Tyson pull punches - why would people bet on Joshua??
  7. I’d take the doubled salary in an instant. I can do my job anywhere and if they wanted it done in an office - fine. I’ve hung Do Not Disturb signs on my cube back when I worked in an office. That plus head phones and people generally left me alone. And extra $100k saved and invested is $1.3M to $1.5M over 10 years. If you are able - you take the office job and have a legit opportunity to FIRE.
  8. Oil prices are already crashing. $55. Yay.
  9. I have the big Searwood and I’m really happy with it. Just like with all Weber products - it’s solid. Works great. The accorded are nice. It heats up quick for non-smoking days.

Through F1 Exprience - Paddock Passes - Legends Level. Basically gives you one full day in the actual paddock area (where the teams are located). The other two days are in the paddock hospitality. Some tracks have this available through the F1 Experience web site.

I’m on the wait list for the US GP in Austin. I’m still deciding if I want to spend that kind of money. I think it’s worth it once.
  12. Audi Revolut F1 Team will launch their car Jan 20th in Berlin.
  13. Yes - she is. The power dynamics alone make it that way. Say no and lose job or say no and have this powerful man (who has other powerful people behind him) slander you… etc etc. Once HE crossed any kind of professional line - this was on him.

    British GP was good.
  15. Absolutely - when I’m with the B+ group and they are rolling at 24mph into the wind - that kind of uncomfortable is fine. Fuck having numb hands and toes being miserable. I’m 47. I cycle to clear my head and to get better at cycling. I don’t need to freeze to do that.
  16. Ive been off the bike the past week. Also - I don’t ride outside when it’s below 50 or so, as it’s really uncomfortable. I’m thinking 2500 is more appropriate / reasonable. 10k pushups is 27 a day. I’m down for that.
  17. Ferrari’s year. Not sure how to end that exactly. Bottas getting his seat fitting done. He’s officially a Caddy driver. Is he a Escalade or VTS guy? [emoji848]
  18. FYI - the Herotage Foundation has leaked or put out Project 2026. Its full of fun things like a children deserve to only be born to a married mother and father, increase self governance (states rights sorta) by dismantling the current constitutional gov we have, have a national voting policy, and of course Christian nationalism. Yay.

Top ten. Albon in P8 and Sainz P9. I hope they are I. The mix next year.
  20. In the mean time - consumer RAM is going to be scarce the next two years. Laptops and home PCs are going to be expensive.

Christ - people are fucking trash. Kimi has had to disable his comments on social media. Max fans threatening him and blaming him for letting Lando by last week when he (Kimi) made a mistake. They obviously want to ignore Max throwing a temper tantrum and ramming into George earlier in the year. [emoji849]

Yuki was swerving down the back stretch and going slow - Lando made a move and Yuki kept moving over. If Lando hadn’t gone for a pass (which he had room to do when he started the pass) - Yuki could have just serpentined the whole lap. Trash and illegal racing by Yuki. Had Yuki made ONE move, Lando would have easily passed and zero questions.
