  1. FTFY You forgot an important one to add in the day of NIL. If they come to Texas or leave aggie "Mercenaries" is the new popular word for "not aggie mindset".
  2. I've never really paid a ton of attention. When there are a lot of Longhorns or some first rounders I peak in to get an idea. If someone took all the picks of all the goons, then came up with an aggregate average (which might already exist) they'd make a lot of money keeping people like me happy. There are a few opinions I'll listen to in depth, the Joel Klatt/Warner QB discussions for example, which give some insight above and beyond picks from guys with a goodly amount of knowledge on the topic. Otherwise, it seems like most of them are throwing darts around other people's picks and calling them their own.
  3. In aggie hive mind I agree, but in reality its better to have them self-eject button before rather than coming in, having the staff build around the talent they have, then hit the road. The staff would at least know the reality of the situation. However, in aggie mind, whether they stay or not, recruiting rankings have to be high to best perpetuate the never ending "next year" aggie mythos. For that, I admit a ton of gratitude for that entire "great" recruiting class - current players bailing like a house on fire - those weren't "aggie mindset players" - we're gonna win the SEC - rinse repeat allows for the roller-coaster. Without which, my world would be a little less complete.
  4. Well... actually if you really look into the tea leaves... Graham is really just mirroring the majority of the sentiment found on Texags. Its okay to be wonderfully optimistic as long as the rest of the cult is swimming in those waters. But... when the ship is taking on water and even the cult has a rare moment where they have dipped into reality, don't swim upstream. No sir, Graham is a master of providing hope and pumping sunshine as much as possible to keep the Borg hive mind content, but he knows when to ring the panic bell for them too. A master of puppets.
  5. This. I think they entertain it at TE too if there are some proven players available, highly proven, junior/senior level only. One and done for draft type TE, which I dont see out there. But back to WR, yeah, right player, 6'0-4" 4.4 190-220 with proven strong hands and good route runner would really complement our youth and help Arch tremendously by being a reliable option early season.
  6. Man... thats amazingly accurate shit. Im never even opening a temu Spyware website much less the total take over app, but I bet that shit is already out on that POS intellectual property and personal data thieving POS.
  7. Put it on the wall!
  8. Yep. 15 Longhorns went as the first 15 picks. Seriously 1-15 were all Longhorns. Quinn is gonna be a Titan which... doesn't bode well for his career given historical precedent.
  9. Yeah, this. I absolutely want Longhorns to be successful as possible in the NFL (fuck you Jeff Fisher). Being successful is good for the Longhorn brand for sure, but the dividends returns aren't nearly as lucrative as high and multiple draft picks to help recruiting and portal pulls. The top young men be they HS recruit or portal are about getting in the league. League production registers with them, but draft picks draw their undivided attention.
  10. You missed an important cliff note: - Best LB group in well, ages. I think that particularly important and I like to believe accurate. Its important, IMO, given the losses in secondary. Particularly relating to a very specific play, screens. We destroyed screens defensively last year and many SEC OCs deploy them regularly to open inside run. Not sure what any of that has to do with Arch, but yeah. I also firmly believe we will all finally see Sark's "full" offensive game plan. A legit deep ball threat combined with QB mobility completely changes what he can do in this offense and with these players. That is directly connected to Arch to, ya know, not completely derail the thread. If we have a RB elevate to, not Bijan but, really good SEC RB level performance... well.. we will be in a very good place. I do think both the deep threat and QB mobility/threat of run will greatly impact the RB room's ability become that "really good/SEC level RB". Should we have a Bijan level or similar level RB emerge... well...
  11. Doh... I fumbled my dumb ass right into that shit.
  12. I dont call women under the age of 18 girls, I call them women. If you can vote and kill for this country, despite the stupid fact that you can't drink.. you're no longer a boy. Semantics, sure.
  13. Rippling, Ripley, Deel... If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same
  14. Soo... it's essentially their Salt Life sticker. I see, makes sense now.
  15. 1) Fake Authority and fake power, combined with lots of delusional cult ideogies. 2) Yes, very much so. 3) see #1 and @DaggerHorns suggestion
  16. It was a fine piece of writing at the time given the known realities. How could Graham know about super secret BOM conspiracies occurring behind the backs of everyone.
  17. Its aggie, so either it was their prior to purchase or its the initials of the driver. Richard Ball maybe
  18. Iowa is one of those weird ass fan bases that have no ties to reality, based on my fairly limited exposure. They think they are a well-known helmet school, and a threat every year to win the BIG. They are a weird, not nearly as cultist similar group to aggie and Miami. No real context of their place in college football history or the media. They are more known for the teams they play than themselves but they can't separate that reality. Someone should start a thread about the weirdest college football fans/teams. I'd throw in CU and USC as oddities as well for the kings of Fairweather Tshirts, and curiously Miami belongs in that discussion as well. Then there is true Tshirt King, Notre Dame. Does it seem like I hate Miami fans? You're not wrong. It really would be an interesting discussion for the off season.
  19. Well, I am just a sock for a Auburn grad that writes aggie propaganda so... I've done worse.
  20. I woke up one spring break day on the sand, guessing about 9 am. It took me a while to figure out where i was as... I didn't recall the drive after a evening of binge drinking. Found my car eventually, on the beach. My friend was in it. He didn't know who drove either nor what time we left. I did throw my backpacking gear in the trunk. We lived like Austin homeless for 3 days until I got 2nd degree sun burn on my feet, the entirety of the tops. We went to Matamoros for pain killers. Got an hourly hotel, I think, dont remember how we paid just how gross. Friend had to drive home cause even on drugs my feet still hurt so bad. Woke him up at least twice. There's a reason I dont drink anymore, well, lots of them but that's one of them. Nobody died, to my knowledge. Maybe got a bathroom blow job at a party. Remember being in there with a girl. Ahhhh.. memories...
  21. Remarkable indeed. It's become a somewhat interesting discussion with informative aspects and some light hearted amusement. Curiously the X thread on domestic abuse or insane exes, you decide cause we dont know shit, thread, has taken an amusing turn as well.
  22. If you guys think cars are an issue... wait until you want to upgrade your home entertainment, your company wants to upgrade their conference rooms, your children's schools or college want to complete their new building. Doesn't help any of the people or companies doing the installing nor the folks selling for the manufacturers. Sigh... some people don't consider the "trickle down economics" of specific global financial moves.
  23. No disagreement at all. Not sure if you thought we were, but nothing in your post disagrees with what you responded to in mine.
  24. Not currently but there is a Ewers thread where you can discuss WWII and Japanese culture. Also, there is an Xavier Worthy thread where you can discuss specifics aspects of domestic abuse, laws and behaviors. There's a Deion Sanders thread where you can discuss racists and racism. There's a Cowboys thread where you can discuss depression, hopelessness and other psychological issues. There's a Mack Brown thread where you can discuss revisionist history. So, I mean, you seem pretty well covered but who doesn't need another WWII thread where we discuss Quinn. You should start one up amigo.
