  1. Been getting mentoring from Butter Teeth apparently.
  2. 2 people above and in this very post you quoted already figured it out, except apparently Sark. The solution is simple and it really all depends on whether or not Sark finally accepts what many here and elsewhere have been pointing out since OU. (And some prior)
  3. Private equity investment is basically corporate and large scale payday loans. The models are surprisingly similar accept Private equity is more predatory cause it often does damage to it's investments. For proper analogy image payday loans going full mafia and breaking the legs of a physical day laborer that owns them money.
  4. I want to LOL that 3 people in a row basically said the exact same thing in 3 very different ways... But sadly, I don't find it amusing cause truth hurts.
  5. I'll be clear, until I see our head coach consistently align his offensive scheme to the talent he has available I'm sadly forced to view his historical approach as most likely. I want to be wrong, but too many examples indicate that against a top defenses he commonly over analyzes and applies an extremely complex scheme. Sadly, even last years substantially superior OL and more veteran skill players struggled with said overly complex offensive plan at various points. (See UG 1 and 2, and OSU 1 for evidence) Prove me wrong Steve and make me look like an idiot! I tripple dog dare you!!
  6. How dare you besmirch the good name of the late and legendary John Blake on this forum!!!!
  7. My probably very unpopular take is, if we can't beat the top teams of our conference we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. For the record, I hold that to be true of Texas because I hold it to he true of every team. Beat the teams in front of us. That's what needs to happen.
  8. The shortest answer is great fundamemtal coaching, great talent evaluations, great NIL usage with a focus on both lines, great player development, great alignment of your scheme to both the talent on your team and the weaknesses of your opponent and solid play calling. Cignetti is running a clinic on how to operate as a HC in the current football world. There are others doing it well, some terribly, but right now it's hard to argue that anyone has done it better than Cignetti.
  9. Edit - did a search. According to the link below he apparently thought he was signing a contract to perform in Russia for 4 months. If true, that's very crazy. Albawaba Link Wild shit...
  10. If you're talking about the American revolution it could be pretty easily argued that logistic issues were among the main factors that contributed to the Continental victory. I don't want to derail this thread, but from Romans to Huns, from Alexander to Khan from WWII to Ukraine every great military or victory you've ever heard of existed/happen in large part due to strong supply line management. All of them or due in large part to supply chain/line failures (Russia-Ukraine/American Revolution). Some of them actually were successful BECAUSE of them, as in, it was one of their strongest tactical advantages. Alexander was definitely among the tops in "ancient" history. Khan moreso for the style and training of troop movement which greatly reduced supply demands. The Huns had a very unique "supply line" strategy in addition to revolutionary tactics. I could go on and on. I would suggest doing some research on logistics and supply line in relation to the America Revolution. It's actually really interesting, imo.

Hah.. it was early brain malfunctioning. But yeah I agree. It's frustrating and I won't rehash or beat the fully decomposed horse corpse but I hold 1 person responsible for the loss to UF that shouldn't havr happened and it's not a player.
  12. A good call purely for location.

Just keep this in mind for all the old folks who cry about "the way it was", that "every game used to matter" and "the playoffs and NIL ruined college football". Until this weekend Vanderbilt and UVirgina were in the hunt for a conference championship and playoff appearance. A single Texas loss to Florida, even winning out but certainly at 9 wins, very well could be the variance between playoffs and bowl. There is more parity and opportunity for all sorts of teams than ever before and every single game counts now. (Unless of course you're ND) Letting coastal mediots and coaching assistants decide which blue blood was the best team in the nation was WAY better. Edit - this isn't to at all claim there aren't issues with the current system. That Memphis was more likely in than Texas prior to this weekend is complete bullshit, for example.
  14. It was a top 25 match-up of 2 conference foes one of which we face at the end of the month. Naw dawg.. that doesn't deserve a thread on the football board.
  15. Or maybe... and I'm just spit balling here.. but maybe aggie has a bit better D than Vandy.
  16. I'm not defending Missouri, but kind hard to judge them on a freshman starting his first game ever. That was a big part of the difference today.
  17. Well, to clarify his exact words were "bluest of blue bloods" that has never played in an SEC champ game haven't been this good in over 2 decades and haven't won an NC in nearly 100 years.
  18. Damn you for being spot on!!!!
  19. I noted that incorrectly in the random games thread.
  20. Lol wrong thread
  21. That game is why I can enjoy bye weeks. Not thinking about Texas, kick back and watch some occasionally great college football. All while watching Deion horrible time management on the split screen.
  22. That was absolutely a backwards pass. Didn't end up meaning anything but it could have.
  23. I thought it did.
