  1. Def. interested in the Steam Machine. I would love to have a "console" that could take advantage of Steam's library and prices, assuming it has enough guts to run more demanding games. I recently bought Clair Obscur at a nice discount on Steam and the performance was so shitty on my computer that I had to request a refund (granted). Sidenote, you can almost always get a refund from Steam if you request one within 14 days of purchase and have played for less than 2 hours total.
  2. Lots of competitive lithium leasing going on up in that neck of the woods. XTO is getting pretty big into it, but there are also several small startup companies. We've just recently started to dip our toes into writing lithium opinions. Methinks you're going to see a noticeable uptick in TX title attorneys adding Arkansas licenses in the near future.
  3. No earlier than a week from today it would appear. Current forecast has this high pressure ridge finally getting pushed out by a front late next week. Temps should drop 10-15 degrees (and bring rain chances up from zero). Not much to look forward until then. This coming Monday and Tuesday look especially warm and muggy.
  4. Starting to see the first drilling permits for dedicated lithium production showing up in the RRC system. Mostly Hopkins County, near Sulphur Springs.
  5. Believe me, I'm not happy about it. The cumulative ~96 hours of we've had of Fall weather to this point has just been a cruel tease. Had to crank up my AC to go to bed last night.
  6. Reviving this thread for another week or so as we're likely to tie or set record highs the next 6 days. A solid 12-15 degrees above average for the third week of November.
  7. Tidbits from the GM Meetings:
  8. I'll take your word on it (pictures not loading).
  9. Nat Gas at $4.53 at market close today (highest price since 12/29/22).
  10. Scheduling hasn't worked out great for me here at the start of the season. Probably not gonna be able to make a return trip to the lease until day after Thanksgiving at the earliest, although that may not be the worst thing in the world seeing as it looks like it'll be unseasonably warm the next 6-7 days and then rainy after that.
  11. Gonna be a rather short-lived cold front for us Texans. Back to the mid 80's starting tomorrow through next Wednesday.
  12. A real turf war brewing out in the rough and tumble neighborhood of (checks notes)....Memorial?!?!
  13. Weather for next 5 days:
  14. Might get there at the end of this weekend. Supposed to get down close to 40 late Sunday/early Monday.
  15. 2 unseasonably warm days ahead this weekend before a fairly robust cold front blows through Sunday. High 80's, possibly even hitting 90 on Friday and Saturday.
  16. Big merger news today for some Houston and Denver folks: Funny enough, I ran into some SM guys at a golf thing earlier today and they had just learned of it at the same time as everyone else, via press release.
  17. Third straight year that I didn't fire a shot on Opening Weekend, but still enjoyed hanging out at the lease. Saw a young 7-point Friday evening while hoping to shoot a pig, and that ended up being the only animal I saw all weekend. One buddy shot a pig Saturday night, but otherwise, we got skunked. Got plans on Saturday, but thinking about taking Monday off and running up on Sunday morning for a quick 24-hour trip. Otherwise, might not get to make it out again until the weekend before Thanksgiving.
  18. This big fella showed up again right at 6 pm yesterday and nibbled on corn for a good 20 minutes. I hope he's dumb enough to do so again this weekend. Just a little over 60 hours out from legal shooting time on Opening Day. Starting to get antsy to hit the road for the lease after lunchtime Friday. Likely my favorite weekend of the entire year, even if I come home empty-handed.
  19. Feels incredible temp-wise, but damn is it windy today. Got literally pushed forward several steps by a ~40 mph gust walking outside of my office to go grab lunch earlier. Really looking forward to tomorrow and Friday, when it's both cool AND calm. Planning to light up the fire pit and enjoy a couple heavier beers after work tomorrow evening.
  20. Such an ass-backwards misunderstanding of LOTR . Elon probably thinks Moby Dick is about how to hunt whales, Lord of the Flies is an island survival guide for pre-teens...etc.
  21. Famous horror movie scenes done in the style of Peanuts:
  22. About 2pm this afternoon is the warmest it will be, by at least 7 degrees, at any point in the next 7 days.
  23. Blastfurnace gonna make a final push at lunchtime tomorrow before retreating back to Hell to begin plotting next year's reign of terror. Definitely some "warm" days ahead next week after this front passes, but looks like we're all but done with evenings that don't get below 70. I can tolerate a November day that hits the low 80's a lot easier when it drops to the low 60's after sunset and the AC can finally catch a breather.
