  1. Last year Mahomes wasn't struggling to hit burners who were wide open. He had receivers who struggled getting free. The article says Mahomes is having to wait and see where Worthy will release vertically because he has no idea and Worthy struggles to track balls. That's the same thing we were seeing here. Then we got Mitchell and basically gave up on Worthy being the deep target and our offense took off. That was the difference in the offense in 22 and the offense in 23. Now the Chiefs are going through the same thing we did.
  2. By "different developmental path" you men had to wait until Sanders left because he couldn't beat him out. Gotcha.
  3. What's funny about you guys is you forget these guys were on the same team and literally in the same recruiting class. So the comparison has already happened. Last year both were juniors and our coach, who has a good eye for talent, chose Sanders as the tight end to catch passes. Everyday those guys were competing in front of the same sets of eyes and Helm was designated the blocking tight end. So miss with all the who will be better in the future stuff.
  4. The article talks about the incredibly low target vs catch rate for Worthy. Try reading the articles.
  5. No one said all. I did point out times it was and you guys said "no way". Now that Mahomes is experiencing the same issues what is it? Suddenly Mahomes can't hit the broad side of the barn but he "must have regressed" right? Or could it be X gets rerouted easily and it makes it hard to time him up. You know, like we talked about when he was here.
  6. No you guys blamed him for THEIR issues. You should try following the NFL this year. https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/gm-report/why-patrick-mahomes-xavier-worthy-cant-connect-on-the-deep-ball-and-how-to-fix-it https://kckingdom.com/chiefs-already-receiving-huge-blowback-2024-draft-pick-01jebs4kqtas https://www.colts.com/news/colts-wr-adonai-mitchell-reggie-wayne-relationship-rookie-success-michael-pittman-alec-pierce Those look awfully familiar to the problems we saw here right? Sometimes the correct answer is the easiest answer.
  7. 45 for 682 15.14 yrds per 2 TDs 48 for 600 12.50 yrds per 5 TDs(and the year isn't done) One of these receivers was an afterthought and the other one is leading the team in targets and yards. Once again the comment was made that there should've been an expected drop in offensive productivity with the drop in ability in pass catching. We look for Helm first and scheme a lot of routes for him. Therefore Helm is far more productive but as a receiver Sanders was more talented. Mitchell and Worthy had 850 and 100 yards. Our highest receiver this year has 576.
  8. We can tell the difference between the people being critical of a play and just being haters. The haters disappear when Quinn plays well but come roaring back when Quinn makes a mistake. Check the game threads. As far as that throw goes when a DB has his back to you, is in trail, and it's a relatively short toss you give your guy a chance.
  9. Context matters. Beck is throwing picks. Quinn is getting balls batted and fumbling from getting hit. He has had two turnovers all year that aren't from those scenarios. Beck barely gets touched back there and is simply making bad reads/decisions.
  10. Now he scored more points for our opponents than he did us. Lol. Imagine thinking this is true.
  11. Sanders was most def better than Helm as a receiver before and after the catch which is the important part when you make the comment about a dropoff in receiving talent. Current Cam Williams is not as good as 5th yr Jones. He is projected to be better but the majority of our protection gaffs come from his side. Jones not only held his own but kept Campbell straightened out with the protection scheme.
  12. Here we go. Now Helm is better than Sanders and Williams is better than Jones.
  13. Careful. The "don't blame other people for Quinn's fuckups" crowd will be coming with their pitchforks. (btw its almost always the same side that the tips come from)
  14. Imagine a QB losing his two best running backs, NFL RT, and 4 pass catchers to the NFL and not expecting a loss of offensive production. Make it make sense.
  15. This isn't an Arch vs Quinn contest where you have to take sides and stay there. There has been no QB that played at Texas that I spent time dragging through the mud like yall do Quinn. I learned my lesson with Simms. Fan dislike spreads and if you think it doesn't affect the players you are wrong. That is why I hate it so much. The only reason people are like that towards Quinn is because Arch is here.
  16. You play football? When they bring extra guys the receivers, TE included, are taught to recognize that and alter their routes. That is built into literally every offensive passing scheme out there. What route they alter to is based on what coverage they see. They brought pressure and the remaining coverage left was to the inside. So guess where Helm is supposed to run to? Open grass and present himself quickly. This is high school level "how to deal with a zone blitz" football. The blitz was largely picked up but you don't wait to see if that's going to happen. That's not how that works.
  17. I saw all that buddy. I saw him throw an ill advised ball trying to fit one over top and almost get picked. I saw him fit a ball in to Helm and had the DB been a step quicker he likely picks that. I saw him get a ball batted at the line and get picked. And I see those same plays every Saturday in every game. I also saw him make a couple throws that said "he is him" too that a lot of QBs can't make. Do I wish the guy didn't have turnovers? Of course I do. We all do. But if you want a guy who is going to make that throw to Blue on the road in that situation he is also going to make errors trying to make a play too. Yall are going to be pissed at this dude until he leaves if you think he isn't going to make errors. The other thing that you don't understand is that Sark takes his foot off the throttle when he is up. It's who he is. He was doing the same thing in year one before QE even got here. Last year he proved he could open the offense up in the second half. To make my point when Quinn fumbled he was looking to throw an out route to Juan Davis. We are never serious about offense when Juan Davis is running pass routes. Even in the Georgia game Sark started opening it up in the 2nd half but we waited to long to do it.
  18. He called aggressive games last year. This year he doesn't need to. It's like you guys aren't seeing what is going on. The more receivers you put out in routes the easier it is to throw. We primarily play out of 12 personnel. When Sark gets serious about scoring we see 11 or even 4 wide. We are throwing out of heavy run sets a lot.
  19. Helm is supposed to recognize hot there and break it off and present himself. Same on the Bond play. But Ewers....
  20. Did it ever occurred to any of you with this "in a vacuum" opinion that Sark is calling the game based on the situation and what he thinks his defense will do?
  21. And one day you will learn that if you protect the dude he will be fine. You can't allow 7 sacks and a million pressures and expect the QB to play well. You and the others asking for miracles is what we have a problem with. Holding Quinn to a standard you don't have for others. Btw, we looked exactly the same from a pocket presence/sack/pressure standpoint when Arch came in the game too. And I was told he was far superior at moving in the pocket and pocket presence in general.
  22. What's even funnier is not only is my football team better than these Aggys but so is my wife. They big mad!
  23. The fake injuries to slow us down was Bush league. As well as all the extracurricular shenanigans they should've been called for. The fumble was after Quinn gave himself up too.
  24. This is the perfect representation for the team's demeanor in that environment too. No fucks given.
