  1. It is a bit of a moral dilemma. I think of it as when I drive in America I try to be nice and follow the rules, not cut people off etc., when I drive in Mexico you cut-off, honk, just look out for yourself, etc., their streets are lawless. Our federal/state/county governments are akin to Mexican streets right now. If you can get it, get it.
  2. I was sent a link think morning that didn't ask anything besides allergies and health insurance/personal info and was able to make an appt about a week from now. I think that link has gone viral and now they are asking that a doctor sent you the link before you can proceed. Looks like they had it open to everybody this morning.
  3. I'm a healthy guy in my late 30's and just made a reservation to get the vaccine at Houston Methodist for early January, plenty of reservations available. I think Methodist and other hospitals that have a ton of doses and no direction from the state are saying fuck it, first come first serve. I think for a while it's going to be everybody for themselves.
  4. After the Texas v. Maryland debacle in the FKA Redskins Stadium, I got roped into meeting some buddies at the Trump Hotel bar in DC. I was actually kinda pissed that I enjoyed it, I was fully prepared to nitpick the shit out of the place. Somebody in that fucked up organization did a damn fine job with that hotel lobby and bar. The blind squirrel found a nut.
  5. The housekeepers are used to cleaning up piss, so they should be prepared.
  6. She gives zero fucks about that pardon.
  7. "Trump also has been telling confidants that "people at the highest levels of Fox" have reached out to his people to try to repair the relationship but that he has no desire to do that. "He wants to make them pay," said a source who discussed Fox News with Trump in recent days."
  8. That's a bit presumptuous. You have no idea how gratifying that particular jerk off sesh was for him to compare it to how much he liked his job.
  9. Anecdote: Most of my friends who voted for Trump loved to talk about it, had yard signs, participated in boat parades etc.. My friends who were Biden voters were more reserved about discussing politics publicly. In the small universe I exist in, it was the shy Biden voter. Biden voters are what Trump's base would refer to as the silent majority, when ironically they themselves ended up being the obnoxious minority (no racist).
  10. Alito will probably call Trump and tell him that he is going to lose because the Texas suit is even too cray for him, but he'll give him a week so he can fleece another $100M from his supporters.
  11. One is an exercise of the 1st amendment. The other is a subversion of our democracy and constitution. Comparing the two would be like the Astros justifying their cheating by saying other teams were practicing. Other than that, totally agree.
  12. Posts like that should get the poster banned. Not sure what you have to do to get banned when inciting mass violence isn't enough. That is yelling fire in a theater type shit. Maybe we should repeal 230, fuck you twitter.
  13. I mean this should get them banned from twitter right?
  14. What's scary is it could get a lot worse than Barr, even he has boundaries. They could bring a guy who is one part dumb one part corrupt in Matthew Whitaker for the last 30 days to literally do Trump's bidding, Trump could point at people he wants arrested and held without bond type shit.
  15. Biden is trying extra hard to be above the fray in all of this, so I doubt he will do anything outside of normal protocol here, but this is a very interesting hypothetical. Suppose Trump lost to a left wing Trump, a Michael Avenatti type, and Trump takes off from Andrews at 11:59 am. At 12:01 could the next president order the plane to land?
  16. Seriously, he's raised over $100M post election for this shit, so there is not a lack of money. The document that alleges votes were shifted from Biden to Trump is 30 pages long. How hard would it be to pay a recent law grad $100/hr to read through it. It would take an hour tops to proof read a 30 page document and catch an obvious error like that.
  17. My hope is that Trump has somewhat faded into the background and only the fully committed cultist are still concerned with him. The US Presidency is the largest bully pulpit in the world, so come Jan. 21, we will hear a lot less of Trump, he will be mostly subjugated to the boy who cried wolf on twitter and flippant message board chatter. Barring some sort of criminal conviction or health scare, Lester Holt will not be leading off his nightly news with the Trump news de jur and his reach will naturally lessen. Assuming the above happens then I would venture both sides will have less enthusiasm, the trump cultist will stay home and bang their cousin and anti-trumpers will stay at home because none of the mid-term candidates agreed to paint the US Capitol rainbow colors. Then the state of affairs will matter much more. If the vaccine works and we are in a mostly post-covid world by the end of 2021 and we go into the second iteration of the roaring 20's, then I think the Dems will do well. If the damage is done by the virus and treasury's printing presses are shut down by Cocaine Mitch, then things could get pretty ugly.
  18. I believe it was the one in Pennsylvania on election night where he sued because poll watchers had to be 10 ft away from the workers, the court let them go to 6 ft., so the big win was 4 ft. for poll watchers. Now Trump claims their poll watchers weren't allowed to be there, so apparently his huge 4 ft. court victory was for people who were not even present. Which makes sense.
  19. Damnit, I have a tee time tomorrow. Can we civil war next week?
  20. I mean, fuck Stephen Miller and his little Eva Braun wife, but gotta give them some respect for that light switch in the headboard.
