  1. If they're not morons and don't want to be treated like morons then they shouldn't post like morons. Talking shit can be done intelligently, the long existence of posters like @Sbbruin (who came in talking shit about 66-3) and various A&M and OU fans proves that. What the new UW posters we've seen so far have done isn't intelligent or worth any more time than it takes to either ignore it or neg it and then ignore it. It's neither entertaining nor insightful and so all it does is clutter the board with garbage which is exactly the kind of poster who should be negged until they either stop acting like an idiot or they're crowdsourced.
  2. Collin Klein offense should really excite skill position recruits.
  3. Yes, this response definitely indicates you're the smart one in the exchange.
  4. I was going to say something about Earl Thomas having sons to help us out but given his domestic history maybe he shouldn't.
  5. Are you sure A&M governance didn't allow Bjork to negotiate a huge guaranteed buyout with himself? Seems like something they'd do and would explain why he's still there.
  6. Not even close. A better attempted example would be TX/OU because we lost but still won the conference and were top 4 (so a bye next year) while the team that won would have missed the 12 team playoff. But you know what? We lost our rivalry game, we are still pissed off about it, they are rightfully happy about it and within their rights to talk shit about it, and it will still mean as much as it ever has next October.
  7. I like stats, and I like you as a poster for providing and presenting them. But this is what I was talking about in the other thread. If you immediately and reflexively use nothing but stats to form your opinions this is the danger. You run to find some stats and post them and consider the argument won and in that whole process you don't even notice glaring issues with your data. You didn't recognize how strangely low the RB room carries seemed. And you forgot about he starting RB on the only Texas national championship team in the last 53 years who scored a memorable touchdown (late pitch) in the title game. Quantitative analysis tells us a lot, but using it alone without qualitative can be dangerously misleading. Especially in a sport with 22 players working in parallel. Analytics will not be able to tell us everything about football in our lifetimes.
  8. Ask Florida State. If it's still possible to go undefeated and not win it all then it's not a real playoff. I don't use it but that's why.
  9. Thinking this is where I'm at. I got me and my son into World Series Game 6 for $1900 total but I'd have to add a third for this game. Or maybe I tell the boy he's out of luck and just take the wife. Still a lot.
  10. No, it's the top 5 rated conference champions (down from 6 now that the Pac-12 is the 2Pac and doesn't count). Liberty is the 5th if you consider Washington a Big 10 team because they will be next season.
  11. Can't really get upset. 100% of seasons with him on the roster we won the conference and made the playoff. On the other hand he never beat OU. I'll call it a wash.
  12. I'm just sitting here trying to figure out how an end-around is evidence of ingenious play design. That call was about when it was made, not play design.
  13. Well he better with the talent on the roster considering there are 12 teams in it from now on. Also, holy crap the world changes next year. In 2024 in order to be where we are now if you finish outside the top 4 you would have had to win two playoff games.
  14. Okay, now that he's done I feel like I can go ahead and finally publicly take credit for the Ritz Bit thing. As I posted back then, I saw a group text between big time recruits where they called him Ritz Bit because he's a tiny cracker. Now ask yourselves how and why in the hell I would ever see a recruit group text. This one goes on my trophy shelf along with the text on the GREG DAVIS IS NOT OUR STANDARD banner.
  15. Not sure on the "most" part. Most of the people posting on this site, sure.
  16. Where do you think you are? The very fact that I'm here is plenty of reason to be an asshole.
  17. Next time try it with your eyes open. More seriously, he wasn't the only reason they lost but he was a big contributor to it.
  18. Obviously I'm a fan of advanced stats, but sometimes you have to watch the game, man. McCord was terrible.
  19. Unfortunately drawing them in Houston for the Texas Bowl not only means more of them in the area but more of their less refined fans as the upper crust isn't motivated to attend. My assumption that an upper crust of A&M fans exists is admittedly doing a lot of work in this post.
  20. No this would make it too easy for the offense to kill clock at the end of games. Even if the defense elected not to match the substitution the umpire would still hold the ball for 5 seconds or so figuring that out. The answer was posted before, the umpire holds the ball for a maximum of 10 seconds after the offense finishes substituting. The play in our game yesterday was at least 24 seconds.
  21. It's 5+7 now because of the Pac-12 becoming the 2Pac. Also, Oregon State and Washington State are not eligible to win the Mountain West.
  22. Still remember the very irritating loss to UConn in the 2003 Final Four when media darling Taurasi and her teammates got every single call down the stretch.
  23. Not sure if he started the talks but CDC was hired in December 2017 and the series was announced in May 2018.
  24. I'm assuming pro wrestling heels, which is why the WWE people next to them seemed to be enjoying it.
