  1. Nussmeier is pretty bad. On that last 3rd down he checks to that throw and then doesn't read the linebacker. Back is right in the middle in front of his face with two blockers and one defender after the LB clears. That's a first down if he just throws it 5 yards in front of himself.
  2. That was not a great play by Arch, it was thrown late and brought the sideline into play. It's actually one of his biggest issues. The throw ended up being accurate but it should have been a much easier touchdown for a top flight QB. He should have been letting it go here: Instead of taking two more steps to make super duper sure that Livingstone was open. Again, it was a good play but the throw came out too late. He showed no anticipation and that's perhaps his biggest issue.
  3. It does, and it would have been the first thing Mack Brown would have mentioned. But that was actually one of the things about him I minded the least. He had a list of goals for each season and if the team accomplished one he celebrated it. That's not bad leadership. The issue was all the goals that weren't accomplished.
  4. Agreed. Sarkisian is terrible at game management. Right before Niblett's return there's no reason not to call a timeout there, but I bet Sarkisian was already thinking too much about his play call to start the next series to realize it. If you're going to insist on calling plays then hire a game management assistant to be on the sideline or in the booth. Hell, I'd do it for only $500k.
  5. Berry looks great, OL gashes the DL finally then you call that. It's weird how many coaches make things harder by outthinking themselves. And there you go. lol that was possibly the worst kick I've ever seen, did he hit it fat? Or as my old golfing buddy would say, did he hit the big ball first?
  6. That throw was headed into double coverage before it got tipped, probably picked without the tip.
  7. PI but some receivers make plays anyway.
  8. They've been playing great this season, credit to them. But their roster still isn't as great as their record so far. But stranger things have happened, they have to actually lose.
  9. Agreed, it was a terrible play call but maybe Caldwell is really good at those and coming in cold I can see calling a play that he loves to run in practice. Throw was an A- to A, don't forget it's low percentage but the most important thing is putting it where it can't possibly be intercepted. Catch was an A++ obviously.
  10. I would say he looked better, I would even say he looked good. But for the first three quarters he made a lot of bad plays, too. But yes he absolutely deserves kudos for that late game performance.
  11. Imagine going to that game, watching that happen to your team, then going back to your home in Starkville, Mississippi.
  12. Yep. I don't have any certainty it will continue, but this win could be perfect for the locker room. The defense has been saving the offense's ass all year, but tonight they were repaid.
  13. Receivers have been way too open tonight
  14. That is obviously a touchdown. Don't fuck us. Make us happy about our move from the Big 12.
  15. lol please be smart enough not to run it up the middle. Shotgun snap, overthrow a go route on the sideline.
  16. Free play to throw it into FG range
  17. MSU called timeout? WTF? Shapen quick kick?
  18. Would be nice to have a bounce go our way for once
  19. Just makes no sense to be that far off in that situation. Just absolutely nonsensical.
  20. Calling a timeout helps you prepare for a fake better, not worse. And you would beg them to go for it there. They're not going to do it but that is absolutely what you want them to do. There was zero reason not to call a timeout. That was terrible coaching, obviously bailed out by Niblett.
  21. Sarkisian not calling a timeout after 3rd down is so bad. Why the fuck would you let that 40 seconds run off the clock? The play will also go to the 2 minute warning. NIBLETT HOLY SHIT
  22. Yep my eyes watched that trips side instinctively based on the defensive alignment and I'm by no means an Xs and Os guru. Our highly compensated 5 star QB shouldn't always be locked in on the primary receiver from the play call no matter what the defense shows, but he is.
  23. Yep, Endries one was not a perfect throw but extremely catchable in the end zone where you just have to body up and bring it in. No need to worry about any yardage after the catch. Wingo one was perfectly thrown.
