  1. We have one but now I can't think of his name. Military guy. @Homesickhorn, that's it.
  2. Googled it real quick but couldn't find it. Does anyone know when the next observable total eclipse in Texas will be? I found that there will be one in the US in 2044 but only a tiny part of northern Montana. Trying to tell my kids how rare this is.
  3. Perhaps, but defending the Big 12 when it comes to the most horribly conceived and horribly written tiebreaker rules ever is a pretty weak starting point when arguing that it's not about what the conference does they'll always be bashed. Those tiebreakers were horrific and you know it.
  4. But if he can't blame them while absolving himself of any responsibility how can he feel superior to them?
  5. There's not a man who's ever lived who shouldn't introduce himself as a sign of respect when meeting Earl Campbell.
  6. No, the issue is that secession is just a concept after 160 years. When people mention secession, they are taking about war and killing. That's the only thing it means, it seems like maybe you're still thinking of it as some internet discussion topic only. There is a State getting publicly supported by other States that is currently using military personnel to encroach on the Federal government's role and responsibility. That's a serious issue, discussing the end result if Texas doesn't back down isn't unreasonable.
  7. Another strategy would be for Biden to deputize Greg Abbott and put him in charge of border security beginning immediately, announcing that he takes Abbott at his word that the situation will now be completely solved in short order. Ha.
  8. Neither is anything else fans do except contribute to TOF.
  9. This is where most people should be at. Like said above, it's certainly possible he ends up being awesome but it's all based on hope, which is fine as a fan. The only thing getting mocked around here is people attempting to act like his résumé is great. On one hand, if A&M had hired this guy we would have laughed as their writers tried to fluff him as a great hire. On the other hand they fuck up everything so maybe the current trajectory of the Texas program helps this guy be what we hope he can be. Like I said, it's all fan hope. Now he has to prove himself.
  10. Jesus it's amazing how many people fall for shit if you just say it often enough. Biden is senile! Trump is a genius!
  11. The internet did not have an image that satisfactorily represented my level of condescending disappointment.
  12. Financial and operational mismanagement? He should have applied to Ohio State, I hear they love that type.
  13. Grad assistant and high school assistant is good, NFL assistant isn't good. Got it. This is one of the dumbest posts in this forum in the last week and that's saying A LOT.
  14. As someone who used to design his own very basic web pages to display ratings pages, I'm already triggered.
  15. He gave lip service to Saban being allowed say in everything and always being welcome so I was wondering if this is ego and his way of trying to show that "when I win here it will be my success not Saban's" or something ridiculous like that.
  16. This is outstanding. I'm not sure which of the 3 references most clearly reveals you're old and it had to be intentional.
  17. For decades the cheaters would constantly claim "Texas pays players just like everyone else." Don't get me wrong, I was vocal about how Texas didn't handle it correctly. They should have either joined the cheaters or turned them in. The tactic of not cheating or turning them in but just whining about it to boosters while not letting them pay players was nauseating. But still, the cheaters would always have the same retort when Texas fans pointed out how they were outrecruiting Texas. "You're just jealous, Texas pays players just like everyone else." Oh really? Now that Texas affiliated interests are actually paying players because it's legal (along with a splash of winning), how's that working out for y'all? Fuck 'em all.
  18. LSU has 9 active NFL defensive backs. Texas has 8. Not quite the situation you're implying.
