  1. Or a Herpes flare up..... either or.
  2. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes......
  3. Gonna assume this was expected because now other teams can sign him for peanuts or to a non-guaranteed deal or even G-league two way deal. If he doesn't get picked up in the next week or so, then I'm going to guess you'll see him back in Europe. He's a skilled guy, just needs to grow up. Terrible pick.
  4. The one thing which really stood out to me when watching Kyrie's IG response and it seems like a theme from those of his ilk is the amount of "me", "I", "for myself". Yes, it's an individual decision, but there is no citizenry or greater good which comes into their line of thinking. It's always has been and always will be about them and now their victimhood. It's never about taking care of of others, their neighbors, their friends, their community. It's them and they throw in their nuclear family at times to help with sentiment. It's a degree of selfishness which we could have a rather inspired discussion about but this isn't the place other than to note, Kyrie is thinking only of himself, not his Nets or organizational family, not of his friends, not of his community. Just himself. And yea, the Nets may be the East fave by a little right now, but they'll need perfect health in the playoffs from Harden and KD now. They can still beat almost anyone with those guys and enough supporting cast help like Griffin, LMA, Harris and others, but they'll need to be fresh and not banged up at all.
  5. The Nets aren't on the hook, they've made that decision based on the municipality rules and public sentiment. They could choose not to pay him at all and then fight it out in the inevitable law suits that Kyrie and the NBAPA would file. Kyrie is in an enviable position of having the economic resources to do whatever he wants to do. That's fine, but I don't think one should be paid for work if not adhering to public health needs. He's choosing not to play...... that's fine. No issues, but he shouldn't be paid to play. Unfortunately for him, he can't do his profession from home, he actually has to be actively and physically involved. Endorsements are just that. The firms have to figure out if his stance will have impacts on his ability to be a good endorser for their product. If they feel this won't matter, then continue to partner with him.
  6. So..... basically, you have no logical or rational answer for my questions and resorted to bullshit strawmen comparisons to try and obfuscate that logically..... Kyrie and you basically got nothing and his latest press release from his team was total bullshit. Got it.
  7. So..... how do you reconcile both of his opinions? If he's not again the vaccine, then that would mean he sees the value of it and feels the majority of people should take it, right? Why not advocate for this belief then? Especially if he feels big business are leveraging labor to do something in their best interests (by implication of him being for the vaccine)? Why not advocate for increases of education of the vaccine, specifically in pockets of the country or with members of our demographics which are falling behind in vaccination rates? Why not seek partnerships and synergies with businesses, associations, and companies to promote the vaccine and it's benefits and to not give into fear about the vaccine? I mean, he's not anti-vaccination so this would seem rational, right? Why not be a messenger for education and public health, rather than...... the alternative?
  8. Eh. Keldon has a chance to be a nice player. We love DJM, but because of injury and his inability to shoot, he's not anything special. Slightly above-average and he'll need to take the next step now. White is a nice get but again injuries have really taken their toll and he's older for a prospect (already 27). But look at the first rounders for the Spurs since our last contender. Slo-mo -- Nice role player. Nothing special but has carved out a nice career. Good bench guy. Milutinov -- Trapped in Europe and reportedly hasn't gotten much better. Traded as part of a deal to get a future 2nd rounder. Total failure. DJM -- Discussed above. A big knee injury has interrupted his progression. Big year for him but we already committed a 2nd contract to him. White -- Discussed above. Shown big flashes but injured and older. May never be more than a good player off the bench for a contender. Walker -- High hopes as his ceiling is immense but has only shown intermittent flashes and right now is a pretty poor and inefficient player. Big year for his development. Samanic -- Wasted pick. Total bust for the Spurs. Johnson -- Thus far, the best pick we've had in 7 years. He's pretty much played over his expected production and could be a really nice player. Vassell -- TBD. I like him as a good 3 and D dude. Primo -- TBD. Very young. We've picked at 11, 12, 18, 19 and then back half of the 20's/30. We've hit on no player in the 2nd round. FWIW, our first in 2013, LJ-C (28th pick), looks like a total bust too. Maybe we need to stop giving the front office props for picks 20 years ago other than Kawhi. Other than him and after Parker, the best guys we've drafted our Tiago (role player) and George Hill. Now, we were contenders for most of this time so it's expected that some wash out, but man, we're not great in the draft room. We're just not and haven't been since the late 90's/early 00's. Kawhi will wash away a lot of failures and to get a top 10 player at 15 should be lauded and has been. But that was a decade ago and he's on his 3rd team in the NBA. It's why myself and others have really encouraged a total rebuild job rather than going for the 8 seed the last 3-4 years. We haven't done much with our good players we got in UFA/FA (LMA, DD, etc) in turning them around for future value and we haven't proved to be good in the draft. Need to get top 10 picks...... like most teams. Regardless, you shouldn't be arguing, but you should be concerned. We're not better than the average team at drafting. Always the Sacramento and Orlando's of the world who are really bad at it.
  9. 2 road games coming up will be a good test. 1 game away from Collins coming back. Again Zeke looks reborn this season. Still missing Armstrong and of course, Tank....
  10. Fuck yea!!!!! Way to shove their shit in. Way to go, ABrown. Great play!
  11. How about we get the 3rd string RB in? Let's not get Pollard hurt.
  12. Giants are some cheap motherfuckers. Fuck that guy. Toss him out too.
  13. Our guys suck at playing prevent.
  14. Agreed or it's low or high and Dak is having to catch and sort of reset. I wonder if McGovern can get up to speed.....
  15. C'mon Dak. Be smart and get rid of it..... Now, we're at FG fringe range. Gonna need to get 7-8 yards to get in FG range.
  16. Oh shit.... he launched himself. That was dirty as fuck.
  17. I'm sure you know, but his hands are so good because he was recruited to Bama as a WR. Just different for him when the ball is in the air vs someone like Jones, who has become a really good CB, but not nearly the ball skills in the air.
  18. Diggs..... man. We haven't had a ball hawk like that since Deion and before that since Everson. Wow.
  19. Biadasz is really struggling. Really bad.
  20. Can't lose to a backup guy like Glennon without Barkley. Can't do it. Need to really stop them from scoring more than 6-10 the rest of the way.
  21. Brown again..... It's a travesty he's a boundary guy for us.
  22. Thought he started tonight? I'm not watching, just read some stuff online. How's he looking?
  23. Mosher is so right...... sometimes the delusion is extremely unhealthy.
  24. John Wall hasn't really been a worthwhile player in 3 years. The Nets just tied an asset to move a guy to avoid some luxury tax. Anything is possible but that seems like Rockets fans wish fulfillment more than anything. Nets would probably be better just putting Irving on ice than take on salary for a bad player.
