  1. The large amount of corn in arby's sauce negates any probelms caused by the roast beef sandwich
  2. When do we start deporting the Puerto Ricans? There's still 3+ years to get creative there.
  3. To be fair to the simulation, nobody had Trump invading the South with the homeless. In good news those picknickers fleeing back north after the battle will get back quicker in CyberTrucks than they did via horse and carriage....probably.
  4. This whole idea of cutting public media might be explicitly based upon fiscal or political leanings in the newsroom, but I can't help but think about Hofstadter's anti-intellectualism ideas being the true root cause. Now Hofstadter as one of the premier middle-class loving historians of the mid-century is routinely shit upon in academia today, but this book seems fucking spot on. Richard Hofstadter Anti Intellectualism In American Life Vintage ( 1966)
  5. The ones that fly across the globe to come visit with their hot friends? I wish my kids rejected me.
  6. Thank God they're the party of state's rights. Surely that mean that they wouldn't even contemplate doing something like that!
  7. It was pretty obvious he was using his arm as an 8 year's vision of nuclear rockets leaving the White House, which is somehow better and yet worse?
  8. 77,302,580 people
  9. I would assume you're referring to their Hill Country branch and not their Waco one.
  10. Lots of untapped potential at ASU with their party chops and size.
  11. Come on, you know damn well he has no curiosity.
  12. I'm for it, might as well have the carpet match the drapes of the country.
  13. TikTok is still on and Trump says things to foreign leaders that make people go Just last week the NYT interviewed Latinos that voted for Trump to see where they are now. "I voted for Trump because he’s powerful. He is arrogant, but he is powerful. He says, “I am going to do this. I am going to do this. I am going to do this.” And I feel like he is going to follow through." -Estaban, 22, Texas
  14. Yeah, and I'd wager 95% of adults in Texas will have no idea that it changed.
  15. Texas Senate advances another resolution to ban THC, so we have that going for us. Texas Senate advances bill to ban THC | The Texas Tribune
  16. Yup, but 8/8 is the date when the average high starts to drop which is always something to look forward to, but right now I'm not bothered by summer. We'll see if I feel that way on 8/30.
  17. Nah, they're content to get people that "have to make the trip" for their kid's childhood and will pay through the nose for a substandard resort and all the LL available on new attractions with relatively low capacity. The hyper-nostalgia crowd is disappointed in Disney's trajectory and doesn't make up a large % of their parks income. I'd consider myself part of that nostalgia crew that laments the loss of edutainment like Horizons, World of Motion, The Great Movie Ride, etc...but even I understand that as a business it would be terrible for them to invest in those style attractions in 2025.
  18. Some dude on reddit posted today that he put his entire $300k brokerage account into it and others are asking how to get money out of their retirement early to buy some, there is going to be some serious pain in the future.
  19. That's her right. It's also his right to leave without her. Did she really go on a trip like that with no money in case of an emergency? But she wasn't going to say no...because of the implication.
  20. Yeah playing LA Galaxy and DC United will do that, but I'm not complaining. Really important 5 games coming up vs Houston, vs Dallas, @ Montreal, @ Kansas City, @ Dallas All of those games are winnable with a point expectation in pretty much all of them. Playoffs are within sight if they continue the roll.
  21. Looking at the waists of people that eat there regularly, the donuts should be even smaller.
