  1. Nah, they're content to get people that "have to make the trip" for their kid's childhood and will pay through the nose for a substandard resort and all the LL available on new attractions with relatively low capacity. The hyper-nostalgia crowd is disappointed in Disney's trajectory and doesn't make up a large % of their parks income. I'd consider myself part of that nostalgia crew that laments the loss of edutainment like Horizons, World of Motion, The Great Movie Ride, etc...but even I understand that as a business it would be terrible for them to invest in those style attractions in 2025.
  2. Some dude on reddit posted today that he put his entire $300k brokerage account into it and others are asking how to get money out of their retirement early to buy some, there is going to be some serious pain in the future.
  3. That's her right. It's also his right to leave without her. Did she really go on a trip like that with no money in case of an emergency? But she wasn't going to say no...because of the implication.
  4. Yeah playing LA Galaxy and DC United will do that, but I'm not complaining. Really important 5 games coming up vs Houston, vs Dallas, @ Montreal, @ Kansas City, @ Dallas All of those games are winnable with a point expectation in pretty much all of them. Playoffs are within sight if they continue the roll.
  5. Looking at the waists of people that eat there regularly, the donuts should be even smaller.
  6. Speaking of Trek podcasts. I've been enjoying listening to the Greatest Generation in conjunction with my watch through to TNG.
  7. I like Shipley, but then again, I've never had any donut wow me.
  8. The things you can do with fuck you money.
  9. Illinois sports are good enough when compared to their educational value. It isn't like you're getting University of Illinois-Chicago sports (go Flames).
  10. Looks good, but are they going to give you a side eye look when you come in smelling of sweat and fish guts or is that expected in East Texas?
  11. Anything going on in the triangle of Centerville-Crockett-Madisonville food wise? Heading to Fort Boggy State Park tomorrow and looking for something to eat after hiking/fishing.
  12. So that the B1G doesn't or something.
  13. With those acceptance rates, my kids better learn to start speaking Lobo.
  14. More or less, growing up we had your standard white Texan "enchilada casserole" meal that this was trying to mimic, but it didn't quite hit the mark.
  15. That's less than ideal, but football starts in about a month, so we won't have to worry about trivial things like rights when we get 3-3 Cincinnati against 2-4 Pittsburgh on a Thursday night in October!
  16. Obviously not a good direction for the school to be going, but how much of this is really trickling down to individual classes that kids are taking? I'm not a UT alum, but as a Texas resident I still view it as the top affordable choice for a kid that can get auto-admit. Is it going to be worth the price difference to send a kid to somewhere like Madison instead? I hope we don't have to find out.
  17. In the "well at least they tried" category
  18. Ohhh I buy a shit ton of em raw and make salsa all season with them. I'm also the weirdo that likes it when my house smells like roasting chiles though.
  19. I can see the deposition now... "The things he did to that boudin were unconscionable"
  20. It's more popular with GenX/Millenial men and we're some of the assholes that need to see it the most.
