  1. Option #4 is it's mental with Arch right now which I think is the most likely. He's pressing and spiraling.
  2. I never said none of those teams aren't flawed. I'm saying the upper tier of those teams (UGA, OU, A&M and Vandy) certainly look less flawed than we do. And the offense we rolled out yesterday could absolutely manage to lose a road game at UF, UK or MSU. It's not "knee jerk" when you have a 3 game sample size and week 3 was worst performance yet when adjusting for opponent. We pretty much had to run Arch to move chains yesterday against f'n UTEP. That is OU 2024 in a nutshell. I'm not saying we can't improve and I'm not "expecting" 6-6. But I don't know what the answers are either. Arch either figures it out mentally by conference play or we have to try to win rock fights with Caldwell. I would feel better about our ability to do that if our interior OL wasn't terrible. I don't understand how Stroh is our best option.
  3. Do you mean Sam Houston? Because that is probably the only game we win with an offensive performance like we had yesterday. Sure, maybe the defense could win us 1 or 2 others but that was a 5-7 performance. None of the other top 25 SEC teams are "flawed" in any comparable way to what we witnessed yesterday. You are smoking crack if you think UGA is the only team that "might" beat us dude. If we can't improve significantly before conference play starts it will be a struggle to get to 6 wins and I'm dead serious. Once a team starts taking on water it's hard to turn it around. I have not doubt the coaching staff is in full blown panic mode right now because our offense has regressed over 3 games. I don't think people appreciate the "floor" of the SEC. The top tier isn't what it used to be when Bama/UGA was hording all the 5 stars with their bag games, but there isn't a single SEC team that doesn't have enough talent to beat a Texas team that shows up completely inept offensively. OU last year is pretty much what we looked like yesterday.
  4. None of this is even worth worrying about when our Interior OL can't block for a 3 yard run against UTEP and our QB is missing by 5 yards. Red zone play calling against top tier defenses is the least of our worries currently.
  5. I like the optimism but I don't see it. Lost in all of Arch discussion is that our offensive line is pretty much garbage outside of Goosby. We can't push San Jose State or UTEP around. They are bad enough that if Arch wasn't a total disaster we would all be saying our QB is going to have to win us games in spite of our OL. There is a reason we couldn't sustain a drive against UTEP. Our offense is an absolute mess at every level. There is a breakdown at multiple positions on just about every play and that is pretty much unacceptable at week 3 and more of a sign of that is just who we are. They have less than 3 weeks to clean this shit up and maximize what is clearly a limited offense.
  6. I'm going to go ahead and retract my idiotic statement that I would be fine with A&M winning. Pull your head out of ass Domers.
  7. I don't really care either way. But I would prefer ND not take a playoff spot generally. Both because we may be fighting for an at large and because fundamentally, I think it's bullshit that ND don't play in a conference, has a soft schedule and will get rewarded with 100% of the playoff $$ they earn instead sharing. So F ND. As for Aggy, I never want nice things for them but I have no real concern they are going to be a force in conference play regardless of outcome. But I'll be pretty surprised if ND doesn't win this. I haven't read much from the ND perspective but I'm guessing they appreciate the narrative that the playoffs are on the line and play like it.
  8. I think likely Domer wins comfortably but kind of pulling for A&M. A ND loss should knock them out of the playoff picture no matter what happens the rest of the season with their shit schedule, and for Aggy, the fall is always funnier once the rollercoaster gets high. And they will be convinced they might just win it all if they could pull it out.
  9. LOL. If your posts were limited to bare facts your post count would be about 1000 instead of 36K. I'll stop mucking up the thread but appreciate those posting articles, etc.
  10. I mean probably because he quoted my post?
  11. Who is "yall" dipshit. My only posts on this thread have been bitching at fucking morons like you and Frank that constantly derail because you can't go a minute in your life without getting into political pissing matches. Constant fucking beating. I'll never understand why all you fucking Cloak Roomers have the desire to have 2 threads up constantly and bring all your bullshit into both forums.
  12. Yeah, this thread has gone to absolute shit. Per usual.
  13. Insane it's been 24 years. We're all getting old. I was on campus. Worked for the football team back then so parked in the lot across from the stadium. I was walking by Moncrief scrambling to get to a 9AM class and a football staff member was outside and after saying hi said "watch out for low flying planes". I didn't know WTF that meant and thought it must have been some old saying I'd never heard of or something (as I had just woken up, gotten into car listened to CD per usual so obviously zero news of the day). Then I get to my class (which was a psychology class) and the prof opened up the lecture stating current facts as to what had happened so far at the WTC. And then just proceeded to lecture like it was a normal day. At first I wondered if this was some kind of a stunt he was pulling to get our reaction (particularly given it was a psych class). But a few minutes later, I remembered the 'low flying plane' comment from 15 mins earlier and put it together and sat there in class wondering why the F we are sitting in a lecture if country is under attack (it was a small classroom in the 6 pack and would have had to get past too many people to leave). I think they called classes (or I skipped them) and spent most of the rest of the day watching coverage on the tv's in the locker room. I remember that morning and the odd 'watch out for low flying planes' comment that perplexed me in the moment like it was yesterday.
  14. The point is there is an entire fucking forum for that. A lot of people like to click on this thread to see if any updates on the killer/investigation and have to wade through Cloak room bickering per usual
  15. You are arguing with one of the worst posters on this site LOL. Nobody pays attention to his worthless opinions. Not worth the effort.
  16. They fucked it up at the beginning. I've said it before but what they should have done is set it with field club access + tickets disbursed within Section 1 and 2 with a tunnel from the field club to west concourse with pass through back and forth. Seats would be intermittent instead of 1 large block so would not be noticeable on TV. This was effectively the set up for the USC field club back in 2017. We had the option to go sit in random seats in the stands if we elected. It would have been a very simple solution but that ship has sailed. Not only because Section 1 and 2 sold out but they would have needed to implement a tunnel at the construction phase.
  17. I've always said the only difference between the way Stoops and Briles ran their programs was that Briles was on a campus where the type of players he brought in just didn't mix with the rest of the student population and thus those guys ended up doing worse things (at least bad acts that actually came to light). The way Briles and Stoops recruited players with known character flaws and attempted to hide bad acts and bad actors were identical. Had a former player from the 2000's tell me class wasn't even a thing and multiple players on the team couldn't read. No telling what all never came to light at OU during his tenure. F Stoops and OU.
  18. Right. Tracks from what I remember following that recruitment.
  19. It's been 2 fucking games with a new QB dude. JFC this board has aids any time we don't win by 70
  20. Some of it is just a natural cycle. You lose that many starters including a top 10 draft pick you are going to take a step back. But the lack of improvement at the guard position in particular is extremely disappointing.
  21. Just had this conversation with someone. A lot of people took for granted how elite Ewers was at hitting the short passes and screens in perfect stride. Arch may never be as good as Quinn was at that aspect of the game but he's got to improve significantly to make the offense go. Getting to 2nd and 3 will open everything up.
  22. If you want to go glass half full, who does? Most of the top 10 played around yesterday with many teams looking worse than we did. I mean at least we weren't down 16-0 like Clemson. Not sure there is a dominant team this year. We have a lot to improve and we very well could miss the playoffs if we don't. But with talent as dispersed across the country as it is now I just don't think you are going to see those peak Bama/UGA teams and that seemed to be the expectations from our fanbase. I fully expected our offense to be a work in progress this year (with a flat out average at best OL) although maybe overall slightly behind what I expected. Wingo and Moore probably biggest disappointments so far along with Arch not being as far along as expected (although I thought all the heisman talk was idiotic and fully expected some WTF moments like his pick yesterday).
  23. I think Baxter is fine generally as is Wisner for getting 4/5 yards. But what we're missing (at both WR and RB) is an elite speed guy that can make one guy miss and go 80 (Blue last year and Keilan Robinson before). Wingo is supposed to be that guy at WR but we haven't seen it yet. Not sure if one of our FR WR's are supposed to have that skill set as didn't follow recruiting that closely, but based on highlights, sure wish we could have landed Moore as he looks legit at Oregon.
  24. Solid game by OU last night and big win for them. But if they run Mateer 19X in every competitive game on their schedule he's going to get killed. But looking at their schedule, they only one meaningful game until Dallas then they get a bye and a cupcake the week before so we better have a good plan. OU will no doubt spend 3 straight weeks prepping our game which is a nice advantage for them.
  25. Even if the FSU game was a precursor to a 6-6 season, does Bama have the $$ to buy him out? That's $60MM+ after the season as I understand it.
