  1. Ah, Cypress, TX. Where I hate to go, and where my inlaws bitch constantly about how their neighborhood is now filled up with low IQ asshole renters, all of which vote the exact same way she does.
  2. Lol. I told you fuckers that the inherent fraud and theft associated with door to door companies would be off the charts. You, uh, trying to go for 3 Putt's crown, bud?
  3. Lol at Trump is a Christian. I mean, sure, lol at all of it, but yeah.
  4. This entire fucking article is basically detaling how Republicans and Trump fuck over these people, including a direct fucking comparison showing how Harris's emails are much, much clearler, and yet this is the fucking headline, the first message that people see following the link: Get all the way fucked, CNN. It's just fucking exhausting.
  5. I should have been more clear. One of the links I posted cited several Latino people who were complaining about the economy and the cost of groceries and basically still giving Trump a pass on all of the negative effects of Covid, while tying them to Harris. It's a perception versus reality thing. I realize Nevada is always close. It was super fucking close last time, as well. Which is why I'm sensitive to early returns, and why I am somewhat dismissive of the "I'll believe NV turns blue when it happens" angle that many posters here support, almost taking it for granted
  6. People also seem to split tickets disproportionally at the top, and people also seem to let memories linger. The poor economy isn't helping. The other article cited lingering weakness among the latino vote in Nevada. And lets not act like Biden whipped Nevada's ass, he won by 2%. It doesn't take much, and the early returns, albeit very limited, are concerning.
  7. I updated my post with some links.
  8. Oh, they are. They're all in for Harris, and they're knocking the doors. I was referring to hadnly the folks doing the work in/for the Culinary Union have remarked a lack of enthusiasm for Harris kind of a thing. https://thenevadaglobe.com/articles/culinary-union-warns-nevada-could-go-red/ https://www.npr.org/2024/10/01/g-s1-25479/nevada-latino-voters-trump-harris-culinary-union One of those articles also cites Nevada's incumbant Democratic governor getting ousted in 2022 as a sign that things are different.
  9. I mean, Nevada could be indicative of Arizona as well. I mean, outside of Ralson, hasn't the culinary union sounded some alarm as well?
  10. No, pretty sure below is how you humblebrag
  11. Well, guess that’s going to get repealed. Hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.
  12. Voted after work today in the heights, same location as JS1, after I noped out at lunch. The line after work was about 1/3 as long as it was at lunch, and it took 25 minutes start to finish. attempting to judge books by their covers, I didn’t see an overwhelming tilt one way or the other, and I certainly saw lots of what I would normally categorize as low turnout voters. But maybe I’m all wrong.
  13. a 500k person buffer in favor of D returns, I believe.
  14. All of the anecdotal evidence seems to point to NV going red.
  15. Cruz didn't wear his sports coat and shirt to the UT game. Dude always shows up in the gear of the team he's horsefucking.
  16. I drove by at like 730, it's hard for me to get out the door before 715 with the wife and kiddo, but yeah, if this continues I'll go wed or thurs morning and wait it out regardless.
  17. I'm spoiling for some conflict. Hell, I might instigate it regardless.
  18. Did a drive by of my voting location at lunch. The Harris county website said 11 minutes, but the parking lot was jammed and the line had to be an easy 100-150 deep. Line was probably almost as big as a football field. I'll keep trying until it's at a managable length. I did use the league of women voter website to print my pre-selected ballots for my votes with all the correct Judge tallies.
  19. I mean, it depends on how loose you want to get on what defines "normal." But a lot of realtors went, and went to jail, and then there was that one chick who instagramed her trip there on a private plane.
  20. I can use my cell phone while voting, right? I forget the rules But I have a list of judges and whatnot, and wouldn't mind a crib sheet.
  21. I drove by this AM just to check it out. Seemed managable. My plan is to go tomorrow during lunch.
  22. I feel like me loaning you that money speaks more to my poor financial judgement than the actual purchase does to your financial judgement.
  23. There’s a perception issue, for sure. And I don’t k ow whose fault that is, to be honest. My wife and I are probably too 1-2% of America for combined household income. But it FEELS about like the middle class life we grew up experiencing. Now, I absolutely know it isn’t. But we don’t feel wealthy. A Subaru and a used ford explorer and a 2k square foot house built in the 1960s zoned to a neighborhood where schools get real dicey after elementary doesn’t feel like top 1% of America” to me. also, both things can be true. People can be stupid with their money and still not want handouts.
  24. When you say the Venn diagram fits, I assumed you meant that all Jan 6 rioters were sovereign citizen types, which is obviously false. Were there lots of those types present? Sure. Does qanon appeal to that segment, sure. But there were also a fuck ton of “normal” people there too.
  25. Hahaha, Not even close.
