  1. Right, and that’s why its called Yoakum and not Plains. Sheesh….hope your information is better than your research about rig hand jobs in “Yoakum, Texas”.
  2. To suggest a “deep dive” on his likelihood to relapse is kind of stupid. Just how would one do that ? We know what the warning signs are, but have no clue as to predicting who will or won’t relapse in the presence of those signs. As we like to say, I’m closer to my next drink than my last. I’ve been sober for over 10 years and have had my share of total fuck ups while drinking. Each time I relapsed, I thought I had it under control. You never do, you just manage it far better, know your warning sides and lose the ego to find a little sanity. Stress, anxiety and loss - all huge warning signs. All this time he’s been sober, his disease has been right out there in the parking lot, just outside his office, doing push ups and getting stronger every day.....just waiting. Being a fellow drunk, I wish him well and hope this isn’t setting him up to lose his sobriety. Can’t believe they took the chance. I doubt corporate America would be quite so trusting in such a position. They sure haven’t been in my profession and it’s been ten years.
  3. Not a football expert by any means, but certainly a world class alcoholic in my day for about 35 years. No need to revisit the genetics of alcoholism, but suffice to say, those guys are right, stress doesn’t lead to alcoholism. However, it is one of the biggest causes of relapse. Keep that in mind. Horrible hire for a place like the University of Texas. There are no guarantees in life, but stress being related to relapse is one of them.
  4. I’m calling complete and total bullshit.......without pics. Standing by.
  5. Have to be honest. When you first posted that I noted it and thought it was pretty cool. However, no way did I ever think we would get to the current number based in circumstances at the time. Thanks for the update - I was wondering where the count was.
  6. If anyone hasn’t seen “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia” (Netflix or Prime) it is probably the greatest waste of time of my life. Worth every minute. It explains everything.
  7. No you mean I have an opinion different from yours. Those things do exist in this world. I don’t know you, but could have just as easily have the same about you. But, then again I’m smart enough to know I might not be understanding what you are saying so I choose to never get personal. Not my style - it’s too easy to get caught up in the arrogance of one’s self and lose sight of the point. A lesson we should all learn.....ahem
  8. Yessir ! That goes without saying - we can all suck each other off on that one (not literally, but you know....)
  9. I don’t know - how do you coach speed and playmaking ability ? Suggestions ?
  10. I never said it wasn’t and I doubled down on that by saying I wanted Herman gone yesteryear and every day since. My comment was directed, maybe poorly done, at our evaluation of talent and whether these kids are being asked to do things they aren’t capable of. We seem “to miss” more than most -
  11. Hahahaha, my Boomer is showing ? What a spermburp. How about an original comment ?
