  1. Yes. That site is a dumpster fire these days. Lost all their funding from NYT.
  2. Klopp told ownership in November he was leaving. So at least they’ve had two months behind the scenes to line up a replacement.
  3. Thanks for everything Kloppo. I thought about this when Mane went to Bayern. The entire staff and players have been in a daily pressure cooker to compete with a roided up man city for the last 7-8 years. I can imagine the stress gets to be too much. Shit, it’s been really stressful as a fan to have to shoot for 100 points every season. Before City started paying players in gas pipelines under the table you could win the league with a low 80’s point total. So long story short, fuck those cheaters.
  4. I rented an apartment in Palermo Soho for a month in 2008 (god that makes me feel old). I loved that area; I walked or took the subway everywhere. Recoleta is a nice neighborhood to stay in. Spanish lessons are cheap if you want to go for a week with your wife and oldest kid. You won’t be out late with your kids so I don’t think you will run into much crime beyond pick pockets. Bariloche is the ski area and a magical place. Weekend trips: Uruguay, Iguazu Falls, Mendoza (I’d spend a week there)
  5. You and your wife might look into picking up shifts on door dash. Donate plasma etc… Could your wife work as a nanny or babysitter? You can’t get one for less than $20 an hour these days. Pet sitters charge a fucking fortune. If she’s only making $7,000 currently she has time to pick up a second job. Side Hustle Ideas
  6. I called to get a quote on a HELOC for a client today and it was 8%. Just to give you a frame of reference to compare what you’re paying on your CC. Never fun to replace debt with a different kind of debt but it might help with your cash flow issues.
  7. Concur. Nothing to lose to call them up and start negotiating (start low and hang tough).
  8. the Mavs tanking the last couple games was smart due to the draft pick situation (we got Lively as a result) but he sucks outside of that.
  9. this is great. Watching them in the regular season (legally) for the first time in years.
  10. Stankoven and Borque are first and second in the AHL in scoring. Stankoven doing it as a 20 year old rookie in the league.
  11. Seattle was a terrible stadium to right handed hitters. Waste of 5 years of his career.
  12. Robbo’s back. CuJo’s hamstring not serious.
  13. Thanks for the info; sorry to hear about your son’s issues. I’d take the $49k 401k loan and put it directly towards the credit card principal. Then I’d try and roll the remaining $40k credit card debt to a low interest credit card. The interest rate on the 401k loan will be a lot lower than the current CC interest rate. If your wife could go from $7k a year to $20-30k a year that would give you more breathing room on paying down the debt. Even if it’s only for 2 years.
  14. Man, I don’t want to go full Dave Ramsey but is going on here? Make some lifestyle adjustments, reduce your spending, and free up cash flow to pay down credit card debt. Otherwise you’ll be in this situation again in the future. Options in the shorter term: Look for a new credit card that has a limited time low interest period if you roll over your balance No Intro Interest Credit Cards HELOC and 401(k) loans as discussed above. Stop contributing to your 401k plans (beyond the company match) until the CC is paid off. I couldn’t tell from your initial post but based on your wives desire to pay down the house are you guys making extra payments to the house every month? If so, stop that immediately and put that towards credit cards. If you drive expensive cars, I’d sell them. Drive a low cost, paid off car. Expensive gifts or vacation on the horizon? Cancelled until the CC is paid off.
