  1. It was a good game, but best ever? Heisman? You're going full aggy.
  2. Heaven forbid we get another Kris Boyd. Scares you to death.
  3. I seem to recall EJ fellating some quarterback coach recently in an effort to do the exact same thing. Does anyone have the name?
  4. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1331765/
  5. I am entirely unsurprised you missed the point of that post.
  6. I mean, I'm offended. He's a fullback, you fat sweaty fuck.
  7. You don't start running your grift on the local rubes without paying homage to the local Don.
  8. There's undoubtedly more. You don't get removed from a football game because you're just having a heated discussion. It's also going to be basically impossible to get a non-twisted version of the facts from Hamm. He's such an insecure little shit that he has to cast everything as someone else's fault. I can't blame his wife for bailing. Can you imagine it? "You see, honey, it's not MY fault I got fired. I just ran out of paycheck!"
  9. Fify. I expect two, but I'm hoping they're more of the "arm punt" variety and less of the "endzone pick returned for a touchdown" sort. I suspect the playcalling is more on the "we don't trust Sam" side. It seems like many of the plays are designed to limit the amount of processing he has to do, which, yeah, that's probably not a bad idea. To be a little more fair to Sam, he did have some very solid passes, as well as a couple others that should have been caught. He also should have gotten tagged for a safety. I think most of the reason he looked better is that the offense looked (slightly) more effective, and that had a ton to do with (occasionally) not playing directly into our tendencies and actually planning to have Sam run the ball.
  10. I actually feel pretty good about our ability to apply pressure and get by/through the TCU OL, but I don't feel great at all about our ability to do that effectively and contain Robinson. Hagar is going to have to show he can do more than charge mindlessly into the backfield, or we're going to see them convert a ton of 3rd-and-8s.
  11. That looks outstanding, especially with that red pepper flake. How did it taste? Do you have a solid recipe? Provoleta is always good, but I don't feel like I've ever had any that was great, even in Argentina. I can't help but think, "You know what would make this awesome? If you threw some chorizo in and turned it into queso fundido."
  12. Yep, it's not too hard to find decent stuff there. It's definitely an important ingredient. Per the article:
  13. I believe there were issues with the GA student seating section.
  14. I don't think it's the overall idea of the scheme that's awful. I really like a power spread, or whatever the hell we're calling it, as a college offense. I don't think it will put up quite the crazy video game numbers of the Veer 'n Shoot, but it's much easier on the defense, and I think it's well-suited to the advantages we typically have in recruiting. Our actual problems:
  15. Brisket's mac & cheese made me break out some of these from the freezer, because...cheese. And I had some leftover sage from some failed cocktail experimentation (if anyone knows the ratios for Fort Worth's Usual drink Unconventional Wisdom, I'd love to hear it). Blatantly stolen from Serious Eats' take on The Spotted Pig's ricotta gnudi. They freeze extremely well, so make a giant batch, but they're a bit picky about cooking; I like to pull mine off the heat right before they go in so they don't get torn up by the bubbles from the boiling water - don't stir! Ideally, you end up with a super thin pasta shell filled with melty peppery ricotta.
  16. With picks like that, it makes me think that you just want a smooth, easy-drinker above everything else. That's fine, but please just stick to mixing your chocolate cherry old fashioneds instead of ruining the thread with your terrible taste and shitty opinions. For the record, Cowboy bourbon is great. I enjoy it significantly more than Blanton's, so I'm not sure where you came up with a $60 value for it. The rest of the Garrison line is overpriced trash, though I have not tried the Balmorrhea. I also like the Blue Corn, although not as much as Greenspoint.
  17. That pan pizza is definitely good, especially using their cold-ferment dough recipe. That said, the Serious Eats Tortilla Pizza is my go-to for awesome drunk food. Frozen shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and some jar pizza sauce and you're set to go.
  18. Meh. The production values/editing were not great compared to some of our short form videos. It's not bad, but compare to last year's kickoff video:
  19. If it's the same KPW I remember from the Shag, he'd be better off starting over and pretending it was his first day.
  20. This. Garrison Brothers is trash, but the Cowboy Bourbon is outstanding.
