  1. The barrel is literally a piece of pipe that I electrochemically machined using jigs that you make with your 3D printer. I'm pretty sure they don't live in the stone age.
  2. Nope. Look up the FGC-9.
  3. No disagreement that they were better. I just enjoyed this one more for whatever reason.
  4. There should be a pop up that asks you if you are sure you want to enter the cloak room and get ad aids on mobile. I accidentally clicked on it and feel like I need to Google the suicide hotline.
  5. I thought the ending fit the show pretty well. I need to go back and watch the first episode again to see if it was as bad as I remember, but I'm probably too lazy. I'm glad I didn't give up on it though. I think it might have been the most enjoyable of the Marvel series on Disney+.
  6. Bear grease apparently makes great patch lube for muzzleloaders and all kinds of other stuff. There's even records of pioneers felting the fur, along with raccoon fur to make hats out of.
  7. Oh, ok. I guess there has been so much going on and this thread is moving so fast that it's just hard to keep up with. But good for Egypt voting for the good guys when stuff that was supposed to be sent to them was sent to Ukrain instead. Seriously, we need to remember the good stuff these smaller nations that don't have our resources do for the cause even when it seems like something trivial to us.
  8. Didn't Egypt vote with Russia or abstain in one of the recent UN votes? I wonder if this had something to do with it.
  9. He'll probably be dead next year whether or not you shoot him. I'd save my tag.
  10. I like where they are going with this, however the first episode was terrible and I only kept watching because I had nothing better to watch. I'm glad I did, because this is a nice break from overly superheroey stuff.
  11. I wasn't aware that dogs could be foreign exchange students. I guess even pets want to go to our obedience schools.
  12. A true megalomaniac would deny he is a megalomaniac.
  13. Since you didn't throw a "(no pics)" into your post, I believe Surly bylaws require you to furnish one.
  14. I have a few boxes of their ammo in my safe. On one hand, I wish I had more, as every box could be ammo that they might have for their troops, but on the other hand, that ammo provided them with with money to wage this war and they probably wouldn't have made as much if not for the American market. Biden (not trying to get cloaks here, just stating actual facts) put sanctions on on imports of Russian ammo for poisoning foreign folks or something like that, which was something he had the authority to do under some act or somesuch. It didn't sit well with a lot of folks because Russian ammo has usually been the cheapest plinking ammo out there and they felt like it was just a way for him to attack gun owners. I wonder if there was any intel about Putler's plans that actually influenced that decision.
  15. Is the timber planted or just natural growth? How old is it? What is the density? If it is pretty young, you won't see much for a while. If it is just natural woods, it may or may not be worth much depending on the the density, size, and species composition. If it is mature, or nearly mature plantation pine it could make a significant difference.
  16. I hope they paint a little tiny drone on the side of the victor.
  17. Yeah, but the monthly nut was calculated when their other household costs were much cheaper. If they stretched themselves out because housing prices were too high then they may not have much choice. And if interest rates keep people from buying at a price that will cover the loan, then the bank gets the house back and we end up with a bit of a foreclosure crises. That could have a cascading effect on home values, especially in areas where they rose for no real reason.
  18. The numbers of big TVs stacked up around some stores is pretty impressive. It will be a good time to upgrade here soon.
  19. I would also look into either getting the mill to cut you some boards out of your own trees or finding a small one man sawmill type operation to cut a few up for you. That way when you build a cabin you can use some of the wood from your own property for some of the stuff in there. We had a small one man operation cut up some walnut off our place for something like $50 or $60 a tree a few years ago. Still have a bit of I stacked up in the barn awaiting projects.
  20. I would think downstream would be more stable, if a little less lucrative. We will always need plastics, and whether or not they are made from petroleum products, molecular recycling, or some new sustainable technology, we will always need folks who know how to make them and develop better ones.
  21. I'm surprised prices would still be that low there. Two years ago that would have been a $250,000ish house here in East Texas, but now they would be asking about tree fiddy, for no reason other than prices have increased elsewhere where there are actual legitimate reasons for the increase. I don't see those prices being sustainable for non big cities, as there is no fundamental reason for the shift. If we see stagflation I think there will be a lot of homes for sell for significant discounts outside of larger markets when all the people who had to stretch to buy at inflated prices really start to feel the pain. I'm not sure the statistics about housing inventory are really applicable for much of the country.
  22. If you have a good place that's big enough and no issues with poaching or anything like that the pressure between bow season and rifle season shouldn't really be much different. A smaller place with non like minded neighbors? Big difference. Do the yearlings not still hang around their mothers where y'all are? Around here you often see a doe with both her fawns and yearlings. Occasionally you see a lone yearling, but mostly it's 2.5 year Olds and up when it comes to solo bucks.
  23. They attack rudders on sail boats. I'd say leaving a sailboat rudderless in the open sea counts as an attack on humans.
  24. I wonder if making a salt lick type area would help out in that type of situation.
  25. Same here, and embedded tweets are disappearing right after they load. They load, then turn into a small add banner, and then disappear.
