  1. Ayo is going to win an emmy for directing that ep.
  2. Finally got out to play Memorial Park after a long hiatus and the first time since the renovations. Greens were aerated sometime in the not too distant past and were fast as lightning. I dig most of the changes but the No. 9 par 3 just feels weird. Have a follow up tee time on thursday now that I have a better idea what to expect.
  3. Ok so what color is the boathouse at Hereford?
  4. I struggled through part of season 1 before abandoning it because the animation is so terrible. Now, my fire rekindled by Andor I have recommitted. It becomes more palatable as time goes on, and the storylines are compelling. Now almost through S2
  5. Honorable mention for trainspotting 2
  6. Relevant http:// Just shy of a pound of tannerite vs. a most modestly-sized watermelon. Shot at 100yds with .308
  7. Have four tickets for Willie on Saturday night at Whitewater. We are going Friday and can't use Saturday. Selling for face value + fees 2 GA - $65 each / $130 pair Right Wing Row F Seats 57, 58 - $370 pair DM if interested
  8. If you haven’t watched Atlanta…
  9. I’ve got a buddy looking to try out his drift boat on the Colorado, putting in at Liitle Webberville. Anyone got a recco on a good takeout point down river from there?
  10. it is canon that his character in Enemy of the State is Harry Caul
  11. necrobumping this thread because I am late to the game and few I've asked are aware of the genius of this show. I'm just about through season 1. It's a dangerous show to watch during meal time
  12. you should they put M&Ms in the popcorn and the bartenders are friendly
  13. Neg on the Cartier Tank if only because it seems like every woman I know has one, save for Mrs. Laz who refuses to give up the c.1997 Quartz Guess watch. My vote is for a birth year Tudor Princess but for real my Mexican friends said to leave the watches at home
  14. and gleefully welcomed by the generation that grew up on Terminator mythology
  15. I put a shootout on the Katy together at Athena a few months back for a friend with terminal cancer. It was awesome. We had a small arsenal of handguns and modern sporting rifles. My buddy hadn't shot his pistol in a few years out of concern for his chemo port. He proudly hung his target on the fridge for the remaining three months of his life. RIP Sarge
  16. It's cool enough I made it's own thread but
  17. Nosferatu - perhaps the greatest cinematic expression of Dracula mythology to date The Brutalist - Act 1 great, act 2 drags, epilogue is meh. Give Adrien Brody the oscar tho
  18. my favorite Robbie Williams story is when he had already obtained ultra-mega star level in UK/Europe, and then they booked him to play Club de Ville at SXSW in the early aughts. They did not have tea for him and he was nonplussed. Was unaware of the existence of Take That until Derry Girls

  20. took the doe I shot opening day to Longhorn Smokehouse in Manvel for boudin. Had some this weekend at the ranch and it was a big hit all around. Highly recommended if you're local to Houston. They also turned it around in less than a week.
  21. this is the first year in a long time I haven't made eggnog for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mrs. Laz and I have, as a result, been doing our own ad-hoc Nogsmas across Houston. So far, we've nogged at Nonno's, Julep, BLT, and Lei Low. BLT has the best traditional nog. Thick and boozy. Available to go for $38/bottle and suitable for aging. We brought one home for when we need a fix Nonno's and Julep were both good, if a little thin for my liking. Julep's Christmas wonderland decor is worth visiting it if you're into that kind of thing. Lei Low in a class of its own. They have the Coquito as per usual, but this year they've added the Coconog Flip, which was amazing. A boozy christmas milkshake. 10/10 would smash again. Mahalo
