Thanks! The whole you can’t do somethings physically you use to be able to is just now hitting me so I guess I had a good run, I was definitely use to bouncing back quicker. I started with cardio heavy, treadmill, hot yoga and spin classes at the gym and an extreme lifestyle and calorie intake change but kept the protein intake pretty high but not high enough. I’m adding in more lifting now and meeting a trainer once a week and I am using MyFitnessPal. Going to throw in more off days of just walking or rucking when I get really sore. Did the whole bmi test and all the measurements when I started with the trainer a couple weeks ago and with my frame and body fat % I only have 15 more I can realistically lose to be at my ideal weight. Those charts that say at 6’2 I should weigh 180 lbs are full of shit. Definitely something I want to stick to going forward, too many periods of being drunk and fat between workout stints in the past. Thanks for all the input everyone!
