  1. The only time I ever hear about this is when the right is bitching about it.
  2. Well that would be about the biggest story in the history of US politics, if they were ever able to actually prove it. And of course, 30% of the country would never believe it anyway.
  3. IT stuff: CJ Baxter returned this week, including working 7 on 7—That seemed worthy of its own board note given the precariousness of his injury and uncertainty of his timeline to return, at least as far as his timeline to return to form. Returning to work this week is a good sign he’ll be able to hit August running. Now he has six weeks to knock off some understandable rust. Tangential to this note, Derek Williams looked better this week than last week after returning from his own knee injury. Travis Shaw carrying his weight well during workouts—A source said the big senior transfer is moving quite well, even in the heat. If Texas can get 75% of T’Vondre Sweat, Shaw will have been a big addition. Good news, he’s capable of more. Contract year. Shaw was one of the first players mentioned overall. Matthew Caldwell—It’s quite evident the new QB is mature on and off the field. He impressed this week with his decision-making in 7 on 7, especially given how new he is to the team and playbook. He wasn’t always careful with the ball at Troy. In any event, he’s off to a good start and seems like he can provide what Sark is looking for. (Encouragingly, Caldwell wasn’t specifically asked about. A source said all the QB’s looked good and then went on a Caldwell tangent) Ryan Niblett living up to his number—He wears No. 21 and that’s what he looks like he’s going to be, a weapon in 21-personnel (two running backs, one tight end). That means screens, check downs, sweeps, and motions. Already the fastest player on the team, he looks the fastest he’s ever been on campus. Speaking of fast—Trevor Goosby didn’t run 21 MPH but that report gave the program a good laugh. I didn’t even check on that specifically, I just jokingly asked if Niblett was faster than Goosby and the source chuckled and threw cold water on it. Can he duplicate Matthew Golden’s year?—Deandre Moore looks “exceptional,” per a source. I’ve heard superlatives in the past for Moore but that’s the first time that word was used. Then the sourced added Daylan McCutcheon put together another strong week. IT asked about Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett—McCutcheon’s fellow freshmen were asked about this past week in the Q&A. We asked specifically about those two and heard, “Doing well. They’ve improved since the spring.” A new leader emerging?—Cal transfer tight end Jack Endries is showing good early leadership qualities. He’s also impressing on the field. It sounds like he’s fitting in very nicely. That room is young and in need of a leader. Putting it all together—Anthony Hill is much better in coverage in 7 on 7 this year than he was last year.
  4. Yeah. I was thinking that most probably fall into one of two categories. 1) Those that were always full of shit and don't give one flying fuck about what Jesus says about how to live life on Earth, and 2) Those that are too stupid to realize the blatant contradiction smacking them in the face on a daily basis.
  5. You would think a group that is overwhelmingly christian would be turned off by such outrageous, obvious anti-christian behavior. And yet
  6. I just hope this isn't one of "those" movies, where a long-awaited sequel is immediately forgotten by everyone five seconds after it's over. I'm looking at you Coming to America 2, Beetlejuice 2, Beverly Hills Cop 4, and whatever that Matrix movie was.
  7. Same. I like that we didn't adopt the SEC! SEC! bullshit one bit. "We're just here to fuck shit up."
  8. I'm not saying you're wrong (although I think you probably are), but it's just so fucking enraging that Team R can nominate just whoever the fuck they want, and it doesn't matter if he's a criminal, a conman, a rapist, twice impeached, etc. But the dems are like "No no, he's too liberal, no no she's too female, no no she's also too black, no no he likes dick so no, no no he's too fat", etc. etc. Fucking Goldilocks candidate.
  9. CJ Baxter has been cleared and is back practicing with the team. (IT)
  10. How’s Daphne Zuniga looking these days?
  11. Had to be put down, probably.
  12. Offseason chatter about the roster/starters is essentially gone, outside of one or two spots. Who is going to play nickel, and well that’s pretty much it. There have been times where the offseason talk was like “hey is there a combination of five guys we can put on the o-line who won’t embarrass the university all that much? Also who is going to play QB and TE and DT and LB and…..”
  13. Anyone know if those state garages off San Jacinto and Trinity will be available for parking on Saturday?
  14. I can never keep straight whether they are pro cancel culture or anti cancel culture. So weird.
  15. Have you been to that game recently? It can take forever to enter the stadium.
  16. Unfounded rumor that it's a Tennessee guy. Grant Frerking.
  17. Same. We almost missed kickoff in 2023 after starting our walk to the stadium over an hour before kickoff. Last year we entered the gates around 1:00 with no problem.
  18. We got there around 8 last year. Paced ourselves a little more with the booze and got inside the stadium early.
  19. I don’t think Lex Luthor particularly cares for Superman all that much. Just a vibe I’m getting from these trailers.
  20. Thru four eps of Stick. For those that are unfamiliar, this is the story of a hot latina and her huge tits. It's intriguing. But what I'd really like to see is
  21. Trump trying to start a civil war only reminds me of how Obama was the most divisive president ever.
  22. Bring your green hat.
  23. So a parade…. without people? Just tanks and shit? That’s just great.
  24. I'm planning on going to the Austin one.
