  1. I think some people's minds at some point got mixed up, and associated Brooks taking back the starting job with "Baxter sucked in 2023".
  2. Is he still with the program now?
  3. I would hope we don’t allocate snap counts that way. This ain’t no charity we’re running here.
  4. When Baxter comes back Gibson would have gotten zero non-garbage time snaps. He got one carry against OU with Baxter out.
  5. I didn’t think Gibson was running as hard as he did last season. He just wasn’t bringing much to the table, other than ball security and pass blocking issues. We’ll probably see at least another two leave that room before next year.
  6. Santana Wilson was my guess. Unsure if he redshirted offhand.
  7. uh oh
  8. I've never really cared, but hearing Texas people call it just "Red River" makes me ragey.
  9. I don’t think functioning water fountains and sinks is too much to ask for, post tens of millions of dollars worth of renovations.
  10. I go back and forth (and I used to be a huge 11:00 proponent). The key is to still arrive at 8:00, and enjoy the emptiness for a couple of hours. I walked up to a Fletchers stand at about 11:00 with zero people in line, and then got a $4 beer next door also with zero line. That noon to 2:30 stretch is rough, though.
  11. I drank for about 18 consecutive hours, finishing with martinis with the milfs at the Anatole bar at about 1 a.m. Top 5 Texas/OU experience for me, going back to 1988.
  12. Just as a thought experiment, if you had asked Stephen Miller three years ago about the powers of the presidency, what would he have said?
  13. Jesus. I would imagine that my hell would be watching those two attempt comedy together.
  14. The OL played well enough to allow our offense to score 16 points against a good defense. Which is basically about where we were the second half of last season. Which is... ok? It's a big improvement but we're not winning any championships of any kind like this. Brooks is already a monster upgrade over Stroh, which makes me wonder what our coaches were watching not only the entire first half of the season but also in practice every day going back to July. Now we need a similar upgrade over Hutson in order to go from "competent" to "good".
  15. I thought so too. Also, where did Poehler's tits come from? I don't think I looked at her face once during the monologue. She used to be flat as a board - Is that natural weight gain or purchased?
  16. I read virtually none of this thread so this will probably be an unoriginal thought: How many millions spent in renovations and no working water fountains (section 116), sinks not working in the men's restroom, and a river of piss/water in said restroom. If the water fountain thing is intentional in order to sell more waters, that's pretty fucking dangerous.
  17. "Not being consistent" implies that Neto can play at a decent level at least some of the time, which bares out with what my eyes have seen. Being relegated to third-team after being the assumed starter the entire offseason makes no sense.
  18. I noticed that not too long after the Ohio State game started, and it hasn't really improved through the next four games. Outside of getting over on those fucking sons of bitches from Sam Houston State, of course. Pretty fired up there.
  19. Crazy to think that in a few days the season will be half over, and we could be 0-3 in our three P4 games. Of course that won't happen because we're gonna do inhumane things to those troglodytes in the Cotton Bowl. But still.
  20. We're really screwed. Oh well, eggs were a little too expensive.
  21. I can only assume it was due to naughty filthy sexual shenanigans and if it wasn't don't tell me.
  22. No one has because it's illegal. Or, used to be anyway. They would have been removed from office and prosecuted.
  23. So what happens in a month or a year, when Trump is watching SNL and doesn't like a joke, and tells Pam Bondi to arrest Lorne Michaels? And then she does. "Inciting violence" or "treason" or whatever. It doesn't matter, just like the charges against Comey and James don't matter. They are fabrications. At some point, soon, that will be met with shrugs. And not just with the maga folks. "Well, the president wanted him arrested, so he was arrested. That's how it is in this country." How soon do we get to that point?
  24. Then we need daily explanations why they aren't even attempting to impeach a president who is doing daily Watergates. And now that the SC has given Trump the ability to commit crimes, what else is there besides impeachment?
  25. So the president sent a private message (so he thought) to his AG, directing her to prosecute his enemies. And basically said "I don't care if there isn't evidence, I want them in jail, for revenge!". And there is zero movement for impeachment, unless I have missed it. If you're not going to impeach for this, then everyone with a (D) next to their name needs to be explaining why not. Like, constantly. Because he's committing impeachable acts every day, and we're approaching a period, if we're not already there, where a large percentage of our population thinks it is normal for the president to do Watergate stuff every day. I don't know, maybe a coordinated message saying, if nothing else, "THIS ISN'T NORMAL. PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT".
