  1. oh, it's very comforting to me, sweet "oh no". Very comforting indeed. I've been struggling for a while to figure out who the typical TA poster reminds me of and I think I've hit it. They are all the kids that hang around the main bully in most movies. They aren't the leader, they are typically dumber, uglier and derive all their power from being associated with the leader. It doesn't matter whether the leader is actually popular as in some movies or just a bigger, slightly brighter version of the these kids. In the end, they deify the bully and even when the bully gets knocked down by the protagonist, they fail to adjust to the new paradigm. Also, who the fuck uses a political statement as their sig on a football forum? props to @texifornia for posting and for @RomaVicta for the analysis. It's somewhat akin to what researchers must have felt seeing Goodall's work for the first time, but without a feeling that chimpanzee were closer to us than we thought.
  2. @TreatyOak is messing with you. It's not a real tweet, just excellent editing. Your genius is yours. F Chris Beard. I was finally happy as a Texas fan to unleash the kraken and have an alum make us into the next duke/Kansas/Kentucky and the measledick doesn't understand the crazy hot matrix and that you don't lay hands on a woman unless your life is threatened. Fuck, even than most men wouldn't. So fuck Chris Beard and fuck anyone that can't see that the university did it's best to give him all benefit of the doubt and only fired it when it had no recourse. We are Texas. There is nothing wrong with paying players but it was against the rules before. It's not anymore and even when it was, it's morally grey, as are a host of other issues. I don't care if we paid players before it was legal or potentially made it easier for athletes to graduate. I do care that we never condone rape, murder, child abuse, and domestic violence. We're not fucking Baylor, Penn State or Aggy In terms of the actual next coach, chances are that it'll disappoint. It's gonna be hard to find a guy for whom this set up better than Beard. It better not be Terry. His body of work is his body of work. People don't reinvent themselves this late in their career at a higher level than they failed at before. I appreciate what he's done and hope he stays on. I like Lloyd and Oats. Not sure musselman's out of the question and if cdc wants him I'm sure he'll take his shot.
  3. There are worse things than an athletic tweener with a long development path practicing coverage. Being able to keep a linebacker/box safety in to mitigate a good te or back isn't the worst thing. He's still got a couple years to grow into his body and learn the position he'll ultimately play, likely off ball backer...
  4. I mean, Neyor is coming off a major knee injury. Yes, hopefully he comes back but you don't count on him. I expect between cook and moore you get 1 guy who can contribute but that's 3 guys, plus contributions from thompson, red, and/or cain. I don't think we're in a place where we take a Milton type player but for sure if you get another starter caliber player you go add them. Someone like either of the 2 WRs that Georgia just got would have worked fine. Rumor suggests there's a portal WR out there that's already in mind. I assume Stewart would also be welcome but I think the Aggy plan of spending obscene amounts on their few stars is working. I was hoping Bryce Anderson would shake free as well but I guess not....
  5. Boom, let's fucking go. A little tardy but big time get.
  6. Hmmm, air force versus the rape enablers. Gonna be hard to pick a side but fuck Baylor. Hope they lose by 30
  7. I mean, that's the resume of someone you maybe hire as a wr coach or tag them with a co-offensive coordinator title if you really want them. Without knowing his body of work, you could easily argue that Drew Mehringer, Shawn Watson or Andre Coleman have better resumes. They all were offensive coordinators at the fbs level and/or multiyear coordinators. Would love for this to be true but I'm guessing it's just to set the floor to make another less shitty hire seem okay. Then again, Aggy.
  8. In fairness, he knew where to go. It just seemed like too much effort. Bj was ahead of his time, quiet quitting before it was a fad. Here's hoping Bowen has a similarly illustrious career at ou/uo.
  9. Aggy 2024: Jimbo eats bread; no Kandy for dessert Aggy 2024: revenge of the sips But honestly the Lucci 44 is my choice
  10. What a huge win and fantastic representatives of Texas! So proud. Also, fuck Nebraska. Hope they enjoy us owning their state.
  11. Assuming no long term injury complications huge potential pickup. Let's make up for that earlier mistake of going to Arkansas
  12. I had no idea who that was but this is pretty appalling. Maybe Carrington won't be the worst coach on that staff? This guy makes Mehringer look like a star. From Wiki: On January 16, 2017, Baldwin was hired as the offensive coordinator for California of the Pac-12 Conference under new head coach Justin Wilcox. In Baldwin's second season at Cal, the Bears’ offensive efficiency ranked as the second worst among all Power Five teams.[3] Under Baldwin, the Cal offense led by their third-string quarterback was shutout for the first time in 20 years in its Pac-12 conference game against Utah on October 26, 2019.[4] As the offensive coordinator for California, the Bears finished the 2017, 2018, and 2019 football seasons with the 11th, 12th, and 12th ranked offenses respectively out of 12 teams in the Pac-12 Conference in Yards Per Game.[5] During those same seasons, the Bears finished with the 10th, 12th, and 12th ranked offenses respectively out of 12 teams in the Pac-12 Conference in Total Points Per Game under Baldwin's offensive leadership.[6] Cal Poly[edit] On December 10, 2019, Baldwin was hired by Cal Poly as their new head coach, replacing the retired Tim Walsh.[2] Since Cal Poly President Jeffrey Armstrong introduced Baldwin as head coach and stating on December 11, 2019, "We need football to rise to the level of academics", Baldwin has coached his teams to only 4 wins, held a lead in only 9 games, and has been outscored by halftime of those games by 429 points.[7] Baldwin has the fewest number of wins by any Cal Poly head coach through their first 25 games in school history.[8] Baldwin has an 0–5 record versus in-state rivals UC Davis and Sacramento State since taking over as Cal Poly's head coach.[9]
  13. Yes, but they are all related to chicken fried steak and gravy
  14. We have a rojo opening. He's a pretty good athlete and he could possibly find a good career as a running back or wide receiver. It's crazy that Hayden Conner was far and away the best of that trio.
  15. Don't they need to wait for the bowl game.. oh wait, never mind
  16. I read that as every simple Aggy post but I feel like it fits fine. Never mind that harbaugh's worst record at Michigan was 8-5 and 4th place in the division (excluding truncated covid year), which is the standard for jimbo's Aggy record. Never mind that harbaugh is an alum who restructured his contract to reduce the buyout. He's not even a sitting championship coach. Wait till Aggy starts to spend money to encourage, nay reward, those players who understand sacred Aggy traditions like grabbing your nuts, building collapsible bonfires, and yell practice. I am very worried that Aggy is smarter then us stupid sips and am very concerned that they will extend Jimbo further. How many sitting championship coaches are there?
  17. I skipped 4 pages to avoid hearing derka ramble and people respond. Please @me if we're done. It's kinda annoying as I actually like reading some of the comments regarding basketball but it gets tedious having any one poster feel the need to shit all over a thread.
  18. My guess would be because he's not starting on his high school team and is playing some wide receiver. Probably a guy who peaked a little early
  19. That defense played better and we started to make some nice adjustments, including covering the dagger concept that burned us a couple times before. You put ossai on this team and it's 7 points a game better. Will be essential to get/develop a good edge and keep sweat to pair with Murphy/Collins next year
  20. Yes...I know sec education is poor but it's auburnfootbal. I think football is in Alabama primers for learning to read
  21. No ketch didn't waddle. Sadly ambulation stopped when he lost his ham guy and resorted to injecting Velveeta into his veins. Probably just guessing earle since he's ridden the bench despite bama receiver issues
  22. I love that your homeless ass school can't even afford it's own hand signals.
  23. Trying to gain weight to play tackle. Medical marijuana fosho
