  1. All the Brady Brees hype and they've played pretty badly and the stars of the game so far are the defenses, special teams, and Jameis Winston
  2. This. I feel like I post this on every saints game thread here. This is 2020/21 drew brees. Nothing is wrong with him. He's looked and thrown the ball like this for two seasons. His incredible football IQ and Sean Payton have done a masterful job of overcoming his obviously rapidly declining arm strength
  3. I don't know the Nets, so you're nitpicking thin air here. Just giving approximate value players. Replace those three guys with the equivalent front court guys. Doesn't change the point which is that kyrie is redundant and not worth the risk.
  4. He isn't going anywhere because nobody will give the Nets anything of value for him
  5. KC is going to kick the shit out of the Browns
  6. I guess that scrub Kamara will have to get more touches.
  7. If I were the Nets I'd dump Kyrie for the best player offered in return. They're good enough to win the Conference with the team they have now minus Kyrie plus a top 40 type player. The downside to re-adding him to the mix drastically outweighs the pretty small upside. Someone in the Brogdon/Kemba/Lowry range. Even ignoring the chemistry stuff there is nothing Kyrie does that Harden and Durant don't already do better except maybe his handles. Which are generally a negative anyway because when he's handling the ball the offense stops. Question is whether teams would trade a Brogdon/Kemba/Lowry for Kyrie. Probably not.
  8. https://www.livescience.com/us-life-expectancy-drop-covid-19.html Just a little flu
  9. Bills defenders falling down 10 yards from Lamar so their friends and families don't have to see them getting their ankles broken
  10. I think Dan Bailey too. Wasn't he cut at one point then came back the next season and has been elite again since?
  11. Crazy how that happens. Happened to Lutz in NO and a couple other of the elite guys this year too. I can't imagine doing a job like that where if you make more than 3 or 4 mistakes in 40 tries your job is in danger.
  12. I have Baltimore in this one. They have the playoff experience and coaching, are a better team than their record, and Lamar is out to prove some stuff. Hoping for a great game. I really like both of these squads. Fun and full of guys that are easy to root for.
  13. About 1 in 5 hospitalized die. You'd probably survive but I wouldn't want to be staring down a 20% chance of dying.
  14. I never saw this one. The president of the united States doesn't even know where the colors on the flag go. That's amazing.
  15. Standby lists are a logistical nightmare though. People would just get on every standby list they can until they get a call, and you know they're not going to call the 20 other places whose list they're on. It might reduce waste some, but it'd be an administrative nightmare for small shops that already have capacity issues. We did that for day cared when we moved. When I called the others to let them know we found a place and to remove us from their wait-list, they said I was the first person ever to do that. I don't know. There's no easy answers. It's a delicate balance between not wasting doses and speed. And it's going to be complicated even more by the fact that our federal government lied about the national stockpile
  16. Wouldn't a model like that create a situation where every no show ends up as a wasted dose?
  17. So the governor of Oregon is claiming that they asked for second doses from the national stockpile and were told that there is no national stockpile as claimed. Oops. Lulz. Good luck to those of you needing your second shot.
  18. That's actually the only interesting thing about that flu chart. If we're running at 50% of a typical flu season, our Covid numbers would be a lot lot worse without precautions. Possibly 7 figure deaths.
