  1. What are the names of the places to stop at on the way? I mean the places worth stopping off of I-10 in Cajun country?
  2. This wouldn't work for us. My wife and I really like each other. We are actually friends and have been together for a 1/3 of lives already. I couldn't imagine being without her and I think she feels the same way. We have two kids, a 3yo and a 10 week old. We often comment how much of a strain the kids are on everything including our relationship. We have pretty flexible jobs that pay pretty well so money is not our "issue". Kids are a huge resource suck and that starts with time. Unless you think she will truly be cool with you not having to do any of the home stuff for 4 days of every week it will likely produce some serious resentment. This could never work for us but that doesn't mean you can't give it a try.
  3. I've not been posting much recently. I do criminal defense work in Harris County and this is true. I have clients who get things "lost" all of the time and there is jack-shit we can do most of time unless we go to trial and get the officer to admit it.
  4. Heading over today before docket at the courthouse at 1:30.
  5. Just found out number 2 is going to be a girl. Any tips on girl vs a boy. I wasn’t nearly as nervous the first time as I am now.
  6. He's right. She was kind of humming along steadily and then we found out there was no further treatment. That we just had to keep her comfortable, even at that point the doctors said we'd have months maybe. The problem was that her mind knew, and she couldn't keep battling. Once her mind was wrapped around it, things went quickly. I wasn't ready, there is a big gash in my office wall that is oddly shaped like the corner of my cell phone.
  7. Yea we lost my mom about 4 months ago due to lung cancer. Smoked most of her life. Stopped about 4 years ago as it was the only wedding gift I would expect. We knew something was up a year ago when they came and visited us in Houston for little one's 1st birthday. By the first week of January we had a diagnosis and a prognosis. It was 3-4 months without treatment and more with it. It helped get her a couple more months. I Can't say any of the time was good as she became very weak quickly. She lost all of her weight and hair. It was like a different person almost immediately. I miss her a lot. I've started crying irrationally at very strange times. Sorry to unload in your thread Brisket. As others have said make use of the time. We brought the kiddo over to her as often as we could and my only regrets are things I could have never known to plan for.
  8. As a Cowboys fan I feel conflicted. The Cowboys season has been pretty crappy overall but a win against Washington would be crucial for any hope towards making the playoffs. Colt represented my 4 year years at UT. He was my quarterback, so I will always cheer for him. I have tons of memories cheering for the Cowboys on thanksgiving so it's tough to not be as invested in their success. What say you?
  9. Just happened to us. I was running up the stairs looking for the nearest toilet at dkr. Made it home today and wife and 2 year old are feeling the pain. At least we won.
  10. I really like it. Has some sweetness the original doesn’t. Bought two bottles.
  11. We have an almost two year old and are about to start trying for number two. We’re both 30. Want to have the option to have a third in a few years without being too old.
  12. There are at least 6 bottles of Kentucky owl batch 1 at the twins in San Antonio on 281.
  13. Picked this up yesterday at nasa. They had quite a bit. It finished the last year in a madeira cask. Yes there was a misprint that said gin which they’re getting new labels to fix.
  14. There was at least one bottle of shenks at nasa when I went on monday.
