  1. The story I heard was that he attended an IW camp and caught the eye of staff out of the "scrub" group. Ended up playing there and following one of his coaches to Washington State.
  2. Yeah, he averaged something like 12 throws per game in that Wing T offense. He got almost no attention; hence, Incarnate Word.
  3. I think we should play the games regardless, but I'm pretty sure PVA&M is aware that the game might get canceled if it appears detrimental to UT's post-season seeding.
  4. I'm a bit surprised that McCallum actually scored higher than those other three high schools. My kids loved the place, but I figured Anderson (at least) would be #2 in AISD behind LASA.
  5. It would appear that this kid stumbled across a rare species: A&M corps turds that actually served in the US military.
  6. Wow. I didn't expect that.
  7. I would eat that 7 days a week.
  8. Does Ben Affleck have a second chubby brother?
  9. Sure, for the most part. I design speakers for a living. Take the Klipsch Corner Horn -- definitely designed for very specific room placement; i.e., in a 3X corner. Or, as I commented a few weeks ago, adjustable studio monitor low frequency response to accomodate different placement (stand/on a shelf/against a wall/against 2 walls). I have seen "bookshelf" speakers for home use specifically designed for close proximity to a wall. Can't recall the names at the moment. Honestly, unless you have stand-mounted monitors pretty far away from a wall then given the wavelengths involved they are "near" the wall. 3 feet doesn't really do all that much in the low bass, it's still going to be largely amplified by the back wall (and the floor) (and maybe side walls).
  10. Pseudoscience and gullible people, more at 11.
  11. That's not actually a universal truth. Some speakers are specifically designed to be placed up against a wall.
  12. I don't really understand Sark and crew couldn't improve his lower body mechanics during his time in Austin. Maybe a pro coach will do it.
  13. Good lord Mizzou sucks. Just pull the plug.
  14. I never heard all of the sordid tales. If there's a summary anywhere, please point me to it.
  15. I'm of the opinion, perhaps wholly unfounded, that CDC wouldn't have hired Herman in the first place.
  16. Yeah, we only have two left, Prarie View A&M and Lamar. Losing one of those isn't going to hurt us a bit.
  17. Who could imagine that Deion's kid, who has never played for a head coach not named "Deion" in his life, might be a bit of a pain in the ass?
  18. If you don't think this is insulting, then that explains everything about your broken brain. Again, seek help. I'm done with your illogical whiny bitch routine.
  19. I can't count the number of times I've seen dumptrucks, garbage trucks, moving vans, etc. just turn south from Driftwood the wrong way since they can't negotiate the 270 deg turn. It's comical.
  20. I'm not sure where the struggle is. Ewers' talent relative to his teammates doesn't necessarily say anything about his talent relative to the entire D1 talent pool. If he's actually one of the 2-3 "worst" players on the UT offense (which I would probably dispute) then that means nothing if his surrounding talent is elite, which in general it is.
  21. This just furthers my point. Claiming Ewers is just a guy because he was surrounded by elite talent is fucking stupid, but here we are.
  22. What the fuck is your problem? It's a legit question, it's not patronizing or a punchline, and the second half of your answer is exactly my point. You can't look at a player's ordinal ranking on his own offense and draw sweeping conclusions, despite your insane insistence to the contrary.
