  1. The thing I find fascinating about that canard is that by 1963, the year A&M began allowing women to pursue bachelor's degrees, its enrollment was a bit over 8K students. At that time, UT-Austin had an enrollment of just over 20K students. How many of them were women? Half? Less than half? I don't know, but it's not a big stretch to assume that the MALE enrollment numbers at the two schools were similar.
  2. I eagerly await two Elorockets screwing up and colliding during takeoff, for whatever reason. Texas & Montana, boom! watch out Denver. No, I don't know anything about orbital mechanics. Work with me.
  3. Like they know where the library is.
  4. I'd probably just pay for the repair out of pocket. What's the deductible, probably $1K? Policy premium increase would likely chew up that $2K in fairly short order. @C-Man
  5. It is amusing, even head to head, just last year in mighty Kyle, but . . . oops.
  6. Yeah, that's the likely answer. Good call.
  7. You're not gonna trust those commies at Uber Eats, are you?

  9. She's a peach, with a lovely sense of entitlement AND fashion.
  10. I've heard several Bob Vylan tunes that are really good. Did he perform?
  11. Is Wilco dead? A triple album by Tweedy seems a bit ominous.

I guess the second Mama Betty's (Burnet Road), which has been opening "next month" for about a year, is actually going to open this week. I'm not expecting much, but I imagine we'll give it a try.
  13. Not to mention that subtle detail that the majority of maglev technology doesn't use permanent magnets.
  14. That's fantastic.
  15. Can you fill me in on this hypothetical? Is there an underlying assumption that we didn't play (and lose to) tOSU? There are way too many moving parts in this thread to keep up.
  16. This is the kind of shit that happens when we let Shania Law weave its way into local politics.

183 & Burnet or one of the others? I love that place.
  18. We've only been once (Brian Posehn a month or two ago) and it wasn't bothersome, other than being in the Domain. The old version was about as clean as a Thai brothel.
  19. By every metric I've found the SEC is the best conference in football. Here are head-to-head records among the P4 conferences: SEC: 10-3 B12: 10-6 B1G: 7-5 ACC: 7-12 Combine our overall record with that interconference data and I'd say a 9-3 Texas team should be considered 10-2 (ish), especially if tOSU wins out.
  20. That's a good review. And, ahem:
  21. We were unfortunately gifted tickets to that "comedy" "festival" at Far Out Lounge on Friday. That guy was so painfully unfunny the crowd was literally silenced. Every once in a while you'd hear some groans, and maybe some neckbeard chuckling, but I've never in my life seen a crowd of probably 700+ people be so utterly perplexed. The final two "comedians" weren't much better. I guess I should have known that was a Rogan guy.
  22. Seriously thinking about hopping the pond for this:
  23. Stoops also inherited good talent. John Blake was just too inept to use what he recruited.
  24. Well, the first two lines of my post were "I tried the Mi Tienda you-bake blue corn tortillas again. They still suck."
