  1. 1 rush 4 yards I mean . . . I guess he COULD run less?
  2. It's almost as if no Texas fan has ever witnessed a young QB experiencing growing pains #cough Vince #cough Colt
  3. Taaffe rectifies a lot of those mistakes. He's a bit of a <redacted> but he knows where to put his guys on the field. That wide open receiver on the right sideline would have never happened with Taaffe playing.
  4. Well known even before today. All hat, no cattle, username change incoming.
  5. I gotta watch more of those KEXP live sets. Their sound quality is excellent.
  6. See that green SG? Free. The black Tele? Free. The two new basses? Free. Me? not a chance! "Yeah, we don't care about dads". As it should be.
  7. I didn't know that had showed up. Thanks! What do you mean about "doing numbers"? Is there a typical view count?
  8. Famous for being a prickly pedant, yeah.
  9. I wouldn't say Taaffe is significantly MORE essential, but he puts guys in the right spots. His absense against MSU was pretty obvious.
  10. It would be great if the Statesman would not block access to anything and everything. textise doesn't work, either, at least beyond a paragraph.
  11. Wait . . . Arch is playing but Taaffe might not be? That seems weird. Taaffe can't play in a cast/splint?
  12. Well, damn. I guess I have to find a neurologist.
  13. Great story, thanks.
  14. Is there a good article summarizing Scott's years of attendance (baseball, football, etc.)? I want to show family members.
  15. Miley Cyrus Elle King Lukas Nelson At some point we probably need to stop considering people like Jakob Dylan, Zak Starkey and various Marleys "current".
  16. A shitty redo of a White House bathroom is pretty much near the bottom of the list of things I care about, but holy smokes that man has the worst fucking taste ever.
  17. I don't know how easy it is to BS one's way through the protocols. I suppose one could lie about symptoms ("no doc, no headache") but if he's failing cognitive tests that's gonna be obvious. Anyway, it seems pretty clear that the docs have to approve play first, and then it's a reasonable assumption that Arch + family will have the next say in the matter.
  18. The 6 protocols go from "rest for 24 hours" up through increasing levels of physical activity + cognitive tests. They are intended to reflect gradual improvement as it occurs.
  19. I can get that. It's possibly not so much a medical concern as it is a performance concern. One week out, even if cleared, could lead to less than peak performance. There's likely no way to determine how he'd play without playing him. If Arch, his family and the doctors are willing to take that shot, it's not like he couldn't be pulled for Caldwell if things aren't working. Anyway, it's not my decision.
  20. I'm going to go on the assumption that the concussion protocols are a lot more advanced than "rub some dirt on it" and that risk is minimized if he clears proper medical evaluations.
  21. I like that. I'm not sure I particularly hear "country" other than the twangy guitars, but I like it.
  22. Hook'em, Scott. Thanks for setting the standard.
  23. Fucking can openers. They suck, usually by month 6.
  24. Local sports guys interviewed a guy about concussion protocols. Seems like it's a 6-level process, with increasing levels of activity and various cognitive tests along the way. It sounded like Arch being dressed out at practice (but not actually practicing) was consistent with the process. It doesn't mean he'll play Saturday.
  25. Yeah, that would be my concern. We know most MIM Fenders are legit. Not sure about Martin.
