  1. Apparently she's supposed to be doing it with her fingertips closer together. At some point . . . oh never mind.
  2. No, but I sat in front of a guy who routinely shouted "go for the interception" before every snap on defense.
  3. Ball hawks. Noses for the football.
  4. I was diagonally across from Westbrook vs Kinder in that ND game, sitting in the cheap seats, far NW corner upper deck. It sounded like a gunshot. It was one of those option plays where you just know the RB is going "oh fuck" as the pitch is being made.
  5. Well, it's not, at least until SCOTUS overturns Texas v Johnson (which would happen).
  6. Good sammiches. Invented in Tampa, though.
  7. Imagine being so soulless that your personal tipping point is the price of an imported action figure, as opposed to (for instance) the deportation of American citizens.
  8. A few thoughts: a) sketchy "reporting" b) it would affect Dems more than 'pubs based on vaccine uptake estimates, so as a strategy, I guess? c) Trump had a near-lethal case of covid. I can only assume he thinks he's immune. And yet I don't believe the rumor, but nothing will surprise me at this point.
  9. That post made me chuckle for sure.
  10. Fair enough, the tweet claimed otherwise.
  11. Anyone still think Graham is legit?
  12. Not arguing the depth chart, I'm laughing at all the experts that said Quinn wasn't an NFL caliber QB. We all know who they are.
  13. LMAO. So many surlies are gonna shit their pants on this.
  14. It feels like Roger Wallace is the only guy he likes, which is fair. Sark forgot the first part of Chip's question when he tacked on a second question, and then after Chip repeated the first part and Sark answered he said "I forgot the second part". Fucking brutal roast of Chip. It's fascinating to see new coaches learn to hate the same old hacks. No questions about CJ. No questions about the rest of the running backs. I did learn that CDC and team scour for noncon opponents, bring options to Sark, but he has right of refusal. That's interesting.
  15. My mom and dad never talked politics or revealed who they voted for until later in life. My guess would be that Dad was a Republican, and Mom an independent. Both were very kind church-going Presbyterians who did a ton of charity work. Nevertheless, Dad had some "love the sinner, hate the sin" social outlooks. That changed when a NYC stage actor stayed with them one summer because he was the lead in a play at the Equity theater my sister founded and ran. This guy was gay, and my dad and he eventually became very good friends. Then his friend died of AIDS. It about broke my dad. He became much more liberal in his later years, and my mom became more vocal in that regard as well. They never left the church but they definitely helped drive church policy (which was always pretty progressive in that world). The idea that a person should be a liberal in their youth and a conservative in their later years is incredibly short-sighted. It may be common, but it's not universal, not by a long shot.
  16. . . . and those sights don't stop at the state line.
  17. The Ozarks are absolutely beautiful. Plus, if you're driving those roads, you'll have plenty of time to view the scenery because Arkansas drivers move at a glacial pace.
  18. When Stanley Richard is #12 and Bryant Westbrook is #17 you know you've had a bunch of really, really great DBs pass through DKR.
  19. I don't care what Roger Clemens or any other shitty Texan thinks about who is or isn't a Texan. The easiest bar to clear is "born in Texas". The next easiest is "born of two Texans". The next is "born of at least one Texan". The next would be some version of "lived (or based) in Texas for the majority of their life". Draw your line where you want to. Roger's kids were born and raised in Texas. His nomadic lifestyle as a pro athlete isn't all that different than that of a white collar salesman, and I don't see people trying to gatekeep THEIR status when their wife and kids are living in Texas and have done so for years if not decades. Dumb argument. Is it Saturday yet?
  20. I thought that bit about Rip Torn seemed wrong. More Aggie stolen valor. Plus, they left out Beyonce.
  21. Both of them?
  22. I happened to be at the game where Clemens got his number retired (and Swindell didn't). Clemens was such an ass, bragging that he was the 21 being honored. (Never mind that Swindell was the better college pitcher.) I don't really think I had much respect for him before that, but I sure didn't afterwards.
