  1. LMAO at Ketch. Sark isn't about to give your dumb ass a blueprint for his offense. It's hard enough to keep opposing coaches from cracking the code. I'm not saying Sark is infallible, but if his offense were so simple Ketch could define it then we would be royally fucked.
  2. His footwork and mechanics seemed solid throwing from the pocket. On the run, he gets wonky and sidearmed. I did like that throw late where he had to have heard the hoofbeats coming up from behind but stood tall and got the ball away. Ewers would have bailed to his right and gotten clobbered anyway, most likely injuring his pancreas in the process. The full game summary of his throws was slightly more gruntling than I came away thinking right after the game.
  3. Did they catch you groping your side piece on the Kiss Cam?
  4. Well, at least that appears to have improved, with a notable exception being the tush push. Somebody in another thread lamented that Sark doesn't seem to be able to land badass running backs. Uh, Baxter? A triple ligament tear can set a guy back for awhile.
  5. We really didn't get to see Arch throwing under pressure very much last year. He had several really exciting plays, two of which were with his legs. I've seen the claims that he has a great arm, and I'm not ready to dispute them, but I hope that arm shows up in the next 3 games which would make the argument that it was the pressure and the environment much more believable. Just like Quinn has flaws, so does Arch. Turns out all humans have flaws. I said on some other thread that Arch appears to be the anti-Quinn: good pocket presence, great athleticism and running game, can take a hit w/o getting hurt, but man some of those throws. At least maybe people will give credit where credit is due regarding Quinn.
  6. It's situational. You're in a low-scoring slugfest with a great team on their field in front of 100K+ drunk rednecks. Take the fucking points.
  7. The Broken Memory Club. Wait, what?
  8. So "forward" progress? LOL.
  9. That seems exactly backwards, and especially the play call. (I don't think it was the 1 foot line either.) We were in a 15 round slugfest where 10-14 points could have won it. Read the room, Sark.
  10. Correct. CFP semifinal: 29 attempts, 58 yards, 2.0 ypc Today: 37 attempts, 166 yards, 4.5 ypc
  11. It's perfectly reasonable to talk about Quinn's self-sacks and poor deep balls. Why isn't it perfectly reasonable to talk about Arch's poor short and intermediate passing?
  12. Bad response on my part. It felt like you were giving Sark too much of a pass.
  13. LOL what? I didn't love the play-calling but there comes a point when passers need to pass and receivers need to catch. Kudos to the running game and the defense. I don't care who the opponent is, 14 pts should at least get you to overtime.
  14. Holy shit. People are being very critical of Arch. You're not some unicorn, but you are definitely sniffing your own farts. Take a fucking break, you really need it.
  15. Yeah, there's blame to go around everywhere, horrible pass attempts, wtf drops, weird play calls. Arch needs a shit ton of film time.
  16. I had to laugh at Jaggerson's TD catch. I imagined a few surly heads exploding. Arch seems the anti-Quinn. Clear pocket awareness and great athleticism, but holy shit dude maybe take a little mustard off some of those throws. Then, the interception looked like he had roughly my arm strength. He just seemed out of sorts. Some of those passes need to be caught. Good job by the interior line on several running plays, but wtf was that 4th and goal "sneak"? Come on, coach. I dunno, I can't recall being this ambivalent about an early loss. Great opponent, hostile crowd, fucked up officiating, and we were sorta in it. Not sure what to think. Arch definitely needs to get his shit together and Sark needs to play more to his strengths, which he most certainly didn't do.
  17. Crazy stats: Passing UT: 17/30 170 1 TD 1 INT tOSU: 13/20 126 1 TD 0 INT Rushing UT: 37/166/4.5 0 TD tOSU: 34/77/2.3 1 TD Punting UT: 4/185/46.3 tOSU: 6/260/43.3 We were objectively as good or better in many legitimate statistics, but we just can't score the damn football. Honest question: on that 4th and goal where Arch got stuffed, would he have had a shot had he rolled out on a naked bootleg, or is that too easy to chase down?
  18. Wingo also dropped a pass that hit him in the hands.
  19. OK, I'm opening a vaccine travel agency. "Surly Travel". Anybody who wants in is welcome.
  20. For a moment there @Red Five had me going.
  21. One of my cousins played football for Army. I regret never going to one of their home games:
  22. Well, regarding Saturday: both teams have many of the same question marks. I'll take our QB who has 2 starts over theirs who doesn't. After that, we have three relative cupcakes which should help solidify Arch + offense for the rest of the season.
  23. At least in engineering, the curricula is pretty common from school to school. An accredited school should have capable professors who can teach circuits, fluid mechanics, programming, etc. w/o being genius level MIT types egghead profs doing crazy research. Grad school? Different discussion entirely.
  24. I'm gonna start using brosark.
