  1. Tell me you never saw Nirvana live without telling me you never saw Nirvana live.
  2. I don't doubt your stance, but maybe learn to spell it correctly?
  3. There is a "parents of Longhorn kids" group on FB that has almost none of that helicoptering. Usually it's comments about sports, graduation, "anybody have a good rec for a mechanic near campus", that sort of thing. Maybe Longhorns are just a little more secure in the idea that little Kasey and Kyler are most likely going to hit campus and be just as debauched as mommy and daddy were in their day.
  4. I find it fascinating how people's tastes differ. No judgment, but that is my least favorite Foos song by a long shot.
  5. Swalwell cracks me up. He has little power but he sure tries.
  6. I think y'all are missing the point.
  7. I'm not sure your point. If we fail to meet our standard over half the time, we suck, right?
  8. Well, we suck. We've fallen short of our "standard" more than 50% of the time. (Just to elucidate: we've been to Omaha 38 times in 78 seasons. That's 48.7%.)
  9. Uh, phrasing?
  10. Yeah, but he'd remember you the next time.
  11. Man, I love that song. Let me edit and add some of the reasons I love that song: 1. Winwood and Capaldi. Holy shit, the title alone is R&R HOF material. (Ironically, neither came up with the line.) But the vibe. It's an enigmatic, psych-drug-fueled road trip. 2. Winwood's voice. Enough said. His keys? Enough said. 3. The structure kills me -- Dm in the verses, D major in the choruses, with that crazy sax part weaving in and out. Some songs were just meant for greatness and posterity. This is one of them.
  12. You know, it's OK to find bright spots. Try it sometime.
  13. At first I thought they projected us at 8-4 and then I realized you were riffing on "A&M". I need more coffee.
  14. That one year he went 9-4 at Duke.
  15. In one of my finer moments, I crossed paths with Tom Hulce in NYC and blurted out "hey, you're Mozart!". He looked at me with complete scorn. It was then I realized I should have said "hey, you're Pinto!". Dumbass.
  16. When I'm feeling particularly lazy I've been using this as seasoning on taco meat, roasts, chicken, you name it. Oh yeah, beans. It's a really clean, all-purpose blend that saves time and tastes great. I use ~ 2 tablespoons per pound of protein to get the salt right.
  17. Arch might be too high on that list, but Reed is definitely not too low.
  18. Well that wasn't very helpful.
  19. Well, you see it's "exposure".
  20. We need a drummer. Where does Josh Freese live?
  21. Grew up at Ghost Ranch, did ya?
  22. How exactly does one determine if a molotov cocktail was thrown at a Jew or at an Israeli?
