  1. Saw this last night and was surprised at how close the stats were especially given how much bigger of a margin it victory Bama had
  2. But who will the Golden Bachelor choose??
  3. This has been such a GREAT weekend of CFB! Let's not disappoint, only ranked matchup of the weekend...
  4. Lastname, being in his [CLASS] season is set for a breakout year.
  5. Awesome showing from the conference to open its final season. Of course, I can’t help but think so many strong showings means the conference will likely do what it always does: cannibalize itself with losses to each other so as to knock out all from being a playoff participant. Still, I am gonna soak up and enjoy it this season!
  6. Also, is that for a Tennessee or Oklahoma State fan to wear given that shade of orange? I say that as I was just looking at my closet of “official” longhorns shirts and counted 6 (widely) different shades of “burnt” (and not so burnt) orange
  7. Hold on to your butts….
  8. Right after he does his little dance
  9. #CAB
  10. More like false start by the ref, amirite?
  11. Yes! This is the kind of analysis of the opposing teams’ band and journeyman starting QB you don’t get from the other publications! Well played, sir. Well played.
  12. Man there are a fuckload of commercials. More than usual or am I just out of shape given the long off season?

While I also like Big Noon quite a bit (including it’s less bloated two hour format), I’d say it’s more accurate to say it’s for people that watch college football of the conferences that have their games (read: Big Ten the VAST majority of the time). My biggest criticism of it has always been it feels too much like a pep rally for the game they are showcasing vs the day’s slate of games. I give GameDay the advantage in that regard. Also, I like that it is very subtle in peppering in sponsors
  14. I have no illusions that the main reasons we moved to the SEC-SEC-SEC were (1) money and then (2) to be in biggest of the big boy conferences as realignment to super-conferences was going to happen (something Dodds was discussing back during the LHN vs moving out west discussions). I think all other favors like ease of travel, “culture” and the like were FAR less weighted in proportion. In that light, it’s hard to say what would be the result now because I believe (1) the Pac would certainly have a different TV deal had we and others joined (thus more $$$) and (2) likewise, it’s unknown what the PAC’s perception of a conference would be in this alternate timeline (though I’m sure much better than it was over the last decade)
  15. Yes - ESPN has created something that actually makes me (very, very slightly) appreciate Big & Rich by comparison
  16. From my kitchen chalkboard TEXAS!!!!!
