  1. Are you in the Austin area? If so, go to Baldys Jeep Shop. They can help review you wants and needs and get you started. See you on the trail!
  2. If you don’t mind, what is his name?
  3. I can confirm that…… graduated Reagan HS - Austin in 1989.
  4. Its not as capable off-road in most cases as the Wrangler. It’s break over angle and departure angle are a significant limitation. It’s not as good as a truck as any of the 1/2 tons on the market. More in line with the Ranger and Tacomas size wise, capacity, interior space, etc…. if you need a smaller truck that’s somewhat capable off-road and has lots of style the Gladiator is a good fit.
  5. I was most likely conceived on campus, as my parents were both UT students living on campus. I remember sitting in the back of UT classes at 5 or so playing with toy cars when my mom went back to school to finish up several years later. I’ve lived and breathed UT sports since I was born. I have a dog named Bevo and a longhorn hanging over my fireplace. I hate OU and make fun of aggies. As far as what sports do I follow……. 1. Longhorn football - My weekends in the fall are planned around Longhorn football. Nothing else even comes close. Hobbies are put on hold. Work and family functions are scheduled around games. 2. College football as a whole 3. All other UT sports 4. NFL teams with active Longhorn players 5. Dallas Cowboys 6. San Antonio Spurs 7. 8. . . . . . . . 1909900000. Aggy stuff 1909900001. OU sucks.
  6. What is your budget? You can do a cheap 2” spacer lift, add some wheel adaptors, and throw on a set of JL Rubicon take off tires and wheels and not break the bank. Would look good and ride similar to stock. You can install a higher end kit and drastically improve the ride and handling. Really just comes done to what your willing to spend.
  7. Does he have oversized tires and stock gearing? My daughter has a 2008 JKU lifted with 37s and it’s axles are regeared with 4.56s. She now gets about 15 and is a lot more fun to drive.
  8. Ducking started in Canada in 2020 as a way to spread good will amongst Jeepers during the early months of Covid. It’s since gone world wide. My Jeeps are wheelers and have never been to the mall or Walmart so they have yet to be ducked.
  9. Added a new Jeep to the fleet. Just bought one of my sons a YJ. Looking to build it up for him, so he doesn’t steal my LJ. Currently my 16 year old daughter harasses him as the 37s on her JKU are quite bit bigger than his 30x9.5s.
  10. My daughter raises broilers seasonally for various AG shows. This year she raised 50 birds. 5 went to the Houston Live Stock Show and the rest went to the freezer. The best and worst part is after the shows are over….. processing 45 birds sucks, but a full freezer is a nice reward at the end of the season.
  11. I don’t care what he looks like. If he is green and has 6 toes on both feet, but throws 70 yard touchdowns and wins football games, I’ll gladly cheer him on. I’d rather the face of our team, have a squeaky clean imagine like Colt, but I’m very negotiable on that. Just win.
  12. After the Okie Lite loss I gave up on Longhorn related social media. Could not bear to read it. I assumed it would take the team coming together and stringing together a strong chain of wins to get me back online. I was wrong. All it took was a stripper and monkey.
  13. Seems like any combination that includes a backfield with VY and Earl beats all others. And OU sucks.
  14. My only rule, was my money was not going to Norman Oklahoma. If one of my kids wanted to suck, then they could pay for it. Ive already come to the realization that most likely my daughter will be an aggy. She’s wanted to be a large animal vet as long as I can remember. She is a junior in high school now and I’ve already informed her that when the family comes to visit we will be wearing burnt orange. At least my sons got his head on straight. He is a junior in the aerospace engineering program at UT.
