  1. OTF was consistent in their reporting yesterday and this morning that we hadn’t offered. Guess that changed
  2. If you make that statement you need to name the 2-4 NIL earners that you’d cut to make it happen
  3. First of the 2022 OL to portal. That’s pretty incredible
  4. At some point the 2022 class deserves a retrospective. It’s kind of weird - the OL haul played a major role in our return to prominence, but the rest of the class busted pretty hard and has left us young and inexperienced. The only non-OL/ST that contributed as juniors or remain on the roster for their senior years are Jaydon Blue, Jaylon Guilbeau, and Ethan Burke. Hitting on 3 of 19 non-OL/ST is pretty poor. A lot of coaches wouldn’t have been able to survive such a high bust rate in their first class. Just a weird class with a lot of interesting dynamics. Sark’s first full class, last class before the full SEC and NIL effects, highly ranked but immediately followed by a class that could go down as an all-time great, etc. Something more relevant to current transfer discussions is high school WR recruiting under Sark. It’s probably the second worst position haul in his tenure. I think it’s fair to say it’s disappointed compared to initial expectations given the reputation of Sark’s offense and the accolades his WRs have won. 2021 (transition): Xavier Worthy, Jaden Alexis, Keithron Lee, Casey Cain 2022: Brenen Thompson, Savion Red 2023: Johntay Cook, Ryan Niblett, DeAndre Moore 2024: Ryan Wingo, Aaron Butler, Freddie Dubose, Parker Livingstone 2025: Kaliq Lockett, Jaime Ffrench, Michael Terry III, Daylan McCutcheon The ‘21 class can be entirely excused imo. The only guy that was really his was an all-time great for us. ‘22 was horrific. Only 1 of the 3 in ‘23 is still playing the position for us. ‘24 looks like it could be really good, with one guy looking primed for a huge year and Ryan Wingo looking good too. Early returns on the ‘25 class seem better than the ‘21 - ‘23 classes, at least. There are some mitigating factors, of course. WR coaching issues the first two years, NIL allocation decisions across positions, the portal, etc. These just aren’t the results we were expecting when we hired Sark.
  5. Logan Parr and Jamier Johnson are the most successful expats that I’m aware of, but neither were guys that we minded losing. Parr had a couple All-ACC years for SMU and made the playoffs last year Johnson started last year for Indiana and made the playoffs. It’s now a weird situation because they recruited a couple CBs in the winter portal window despite returning both starters and Johnson is now not with the program I haven’t seen Niblack’s name mentioned yet. I’d have liked to keep him another year, but it’s probably not a big deal. Hopefully that works out like Terrance Brooks
  6. It does say top available WR. Guys that have already signed elsewhere aren’t available
  7. God damn it, I fully realize I’m getting BOW’d, but I feel the need to point out that the chart shows the bottom 5 of 30 target types that SIS tracks
  8. They’re not. I’m assuming you didn’t click the link so I’ll copy the chart here
  9. I’d hope we don’t. Fade routes were cool offense two decades ago but they’re among the least effective red zone plays https://www.the33rdteam.com/why-do-teams-keep-calling-nfls-most-inefficient-red-zone-play/
  10. Kentucky fan loudly heckling his own pitcher is cracking me up “He’s not even hitting his weight” ”You just walked a guy batting .143 come on”
  11. I’m not sure about Bing specifically but it seemed like they wanted to throw as many guys as possible. They only used 5 against UGA
  12. Yeah at first I was amused that Sark embraced FAFO and Saban allowed LANK, but Elko was going to crack down on CBO Then I saw how Hicks explained it and lmfao. Gameday came up with naysayer for LANK but the best you can do is express violence against women? Just say choke an enemy/opponent/dog out. Also Elko’s reaction when the reporter gives him Hicks’ quote is hilarious
  13. Some info from when I looked into it a bit previously. At one point I think basically all the infrastructure for their collective went through TexAgs but I think they’ve slowly separated them (to what extent is unclear)
  14. He was also a lean in his final spring as a high school recruit. From what I remember, there was criticism about Sark not pushing hard to close on several targets at that time and Jimbo was able to go in and get him committed while we were playing the long game (which Sark has turned into a pretty successful approach).
  15. I’d also bet he gets fired after the Arkansas series in a desperate bid to change something before our series
  16. On the A&M campus for my SIL’s white coat ceremony (vet school) I found a trophy
  17. So, I don’t know if I’m alone in this but this offseason feels like an absolute beating. 2020 is the only offseason since the start of the Herman era that I remember being so unenjoyable. The Quinn vs. Arch stuff has been beaten to death but the people pushing it won’t shut the fuck up about it. I’d love to have a surly thread to keep up with offseason news and discussion, but I don’t want to be subjected to spillage from the 500 page Quinn bitch fest. Can we start negging discussion of last year’s QB room management on here? I’ve found myself logging in to my friend’s OB account recently. If that isn’t a cry for help I don’t know what is.
  18. I like him during the season. He probably puts in the most work to preview opponents and understand matchups In the off-season he tends to fall back on generic platitudes, though I’d imagine some of that is because he doesn’t have the same network of sources in the program and around the country that Bobby and Gerry do, respectively
  19. Why is that? Unless I've missed something, Wright fits the RT mold that Flood has recruited here pretty well
  20. The bad look for Huggins is having any expectations for Wescott Eberts that could be disappointed
  21. The commercials are for people posting the jobs, not applying to them. At least the ones I get. But I’ll take your advice I’m sorry you lost your job, bub
  22. Surely they can control the number/duration of ads though, right? They're the only pod that I listen to with so many ads. When I see a 22 minute position preview, I'm going in with the assumption that at third of that time is ads. I've unsubbed from others for less, but I like OTF (enough to be a paying member there). I did recently go for YouTube Premium for unrelated reasons, so that helps.
  23. Same and I'm not that old. It's incredible how rested you feel when you can sleep for more than a couple minutes at a time.
  24. I think this is right. Jake Locker is the only real precedent for a dual threat in a Sark offense. He had 226 attempts / 776 yard / 13 TD over 24 games, which will include sacks and scrambles. I’d also imagine those UW would give up more pressures (and thus sacks/scrambles) and be in more games that required Sark to use Locker’s legs. So, I’m guessing something like 80/300/5 for Arch this year. The wild card could be if QB run becomes a staple of the red zone offense or if we decide to become a QB sneak team.
